I would not recommend eating there unless there is major improvement. They need to improve the quality of their food and the waitress's should pay attention to their customers. We complained about the food and also talked to the manager and she said she would have the general manager call us back this morning. Nope, no call and it is early afternoon. The waitress response to the bad food, "you ate it all" well I went back and took a picture of the dried food and that which wasn't eaten for proof. Very poor customer service. Paid the bill and left a note on top that I wouldn't tip for the bad service. Apparently once they got your money, they don't care. I told them I wouldn't recommend them to my customers as a place to go and eat. Wasn't bad at all!!! Food was really good and our waitress was very sweet. She got the orders right and kept checking on us to make sure if there was anything we needed. I will go back for sure again with my family. Only slight negative and reason for 4 stars and not 5 was two things..one of which can not be helped because of location...was the parking area is small (not exactly easy for larger pick up trucks. ..and if they could trim the bushes and trees...didn't like trying to park but the branches were dragging along the hood of my truck lol) but like I said I know they don't have a whole lot of area to work with, so I understand). The 2nd thing was there was no one there to greet or seat us for about 5 minutes...but luckily a waitress saw my family and seated us right away and she ended up being our waitress...so that made up for no one greeting us when we walked in :) read more

Literally the WORST service I've ever had in my life. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait, we waited for over an hour while we watched parties that came in after us get seated ahead of us. It would've been nice to at least be offered water or to order our drinks. When we were finally called the hostess sat us in the, very clearly closed, bar & we waited another 15 minutes to even see a waitress. Our drinks came fast but the food was lukewarm & underwhelming. After we told our waitress we were good to go it took between 15-20 minutes to get our check. All in all we spent 2 hours & 15 minutes in this restaurant. Our waitress apologized for the wait but at the end of the day we wasted a lot of time & $65 on mediocre food. Disappointed would be an understatement. read more

So I've eaten here a couple of times and the food is fine. However, my 1 star review is because they were dishonest with me today. I took my daughter to lunch and they brought us menus. The menu said the chimichanga was $9.50 and we each ordered one and water. When I asked for the check, the bill was $27 and change. When I asked why the bill was so much higher, the waiter just said "oops, I must have brought you the old menu. The chimichangas are now $12.99 each. 2 things 1. That is totally a bait and switch tactic and they should have honored the menu price, which even after I called him on it, he still wouldn't change it. 2. $13 is way too much for those chimichangas. It's not very big and is just average in terms of taste. For taste, I'd rate it 3, for value a 2 star, but for being dishonest on purpose, they need to be put out of business. Take your money to Irmitas on 7th south... Wayyyy better all the way around. read more

Alright, not only is the restaurant fantastic but they did me a huge favor; my wife can only eat certain foods so when she actually gets a craving for something, it's a big deal! Horrible food! We had 4 people in our group and no one liked their entree. Two entrees came out cold and then that night we all got sick! It took me 5 days to get over my upset stomach from that place! And another 5 months to even eat Mexican food again! Do not eat here!!! Bad food!! Had lunch here, the chili verdi, very bland and salty. The pico de gallo had no jalapenos at all. The horchata was good. My wife had the carne asada, she complained of it being too dry. The service was way better than the food. If you enjoy spicy Mexican food, this will probably not be the place for you. read more

If I could leave a negative star I would. We called at 6:45 to make a call ahead seating reservation because we have a child with special needs. They told us to come at 7:15 and that it might be a 15-20 minute wait when we arrived (which was fine). We arrived shortly after 7, and were not seated until 8:00. We ordered food as soon as we could, and the food didn't get to our table until 9:00!! A whole hour to get 3 adult entrees and 3 kids quesadillas. The food was not fresh whatsoever. It tasted like it had been sitting under a heater for 40 minutes. And one of the entrees had the wrong food on it. I went to talk to the manager shortly after getting our food, and he acted like this wasn't a big deal at all. We had 3 kids, one being special needs, and waited 2 hours to eat. After talking to the "manager" he offered to give us 25% off. I can't stress enough what a horrible dinner/night this made for us. Especially because it took away from other plans we had made as well. I will not ever be going back here, unless they have a visit from Gordon Ramsey himself and he can fix this hell hole they call a restaurant. read more

Food was good. Loved the pork Taco meat was full of flavor. The P&L nachos were okay but standard fair. They were advertised as every chip was individually covered which made me think of my favorite Mexican restaurant that put the chips on a pizza tray and did cover them individually. To bad I was disappointed. My husband loved his Chili Rellenos but the Tamale lacked flavor and was over cooked. The masa was very thick. Our server was nice but seemed to be upset about something. We're just passing through town and wanted a sit down meal instead of fast food & spotted this place across from our hotel. We are so glad we went. Our server was Natalia and she was awesome. Super fast, helpful and very cheerful. We loved the fresh chips & salsa that were brought to our table and quickly devoured 3 bowls of the salsa. For dinner we ordered the Fajitas Supreme with steak, chicken & shrimp. It came with lots of toppings and sides and was delicious. The addition of pineapple chunks to the fajitas was a very pleasant & tasty surprise. For dessert, we enjoyed the Deep Fried Ice-Cream and I can say without question that it was one of the tastiest things that I've eaten in a long time. We got 2 orders of churros to go for our kids and our total bill was under $40. We will most definitely be back the next time we pass through St. George. read more

Where do I start? First, if you want complimentary chips & salsa to snack on while your browsing the menu to decide on your dinner...you better hire an attorney. They require you place an order before they bring chips, and we had to negotiate to get them 1st. Next, the silverware and napkins are with the host at the front so, plan on getting up from your seat to get those yourself. Third, if you LOVE guacamole you should probably bring your own Tupperware of it because they ran out. The food was great! But let's be honest, Mexican food is pretty hard to mess up. The service was extremely slow...it took us at least an hour to get our food after we ordered. Overall good food, bad service. read more

We stopped in St. George on our way to Zion National Park. Since I'm a huge Mexican food addict, I asked the girl at the front desk of the hotel if there was a good Mexican restaurant within walking distance, and she recommended this place so we decided to give it a try. They have been around 27+ years and that isn't hard to do in a town that is famous for food places to show up, then quickly disappear. Eat here and you'll know why they've been around so long. This is the best Mexican food in St. George, and yes, I've tried it all. Their chicken enchiladas with green sauce are superb and flavorful. I enjoy their chips and salsa, and my wife loves the guacamole. It is a festive place, and good for the kids. They even have a few "gringo" meals just in case your kids don't like Mexican. Service is always pleasant, and the entrees come quickly. I've never been deprived of all the chips and salsa I wanted, so I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about. I agree with some of the other reviewers who said the salsa was not great... It's not. I got the chicken taquitos and they were pretty good but I think those are hard to mess up. My mom had nachos and loved them. They were a little greasy but very delicious apparently. The service was great!!! Our waitress was so incredibly helpful and nice. I am wondering if this is now under new management. We have been eating here for 15 years and it's been a good place, but not tonight. The service was slow and the food was not what we normally experience. It was bland as if they forgot to salt anything. As a recent transplant to St George, I have yet to find a decent Mexican restaurant. I got the shredded beef burrito. Everything was meh. Tiny bowl of uninspired salsa (to which I added Tapatio to try to do SOME thing), store-bought chips, rice, beans and a watery, spicy, flavorless burrito. And it costs $10 bucks. I don't like to leave bad reviews, so I'll start with the good. The horchata was delicious, and the salsa was pretty good too. For the bad, the chips are greasy, and seem like they may be using old grease to cook them. The beans taste like they are full of lard, the rice was ok. Luckily we decided to share a dish because it was our first time here (and we told our server this) and I'm so glad we did, the chicken and beef were burnt beyond reason (see pict). After addressing the server about this she apologized and said she spoke with the manager and that they promise to do better next time... Hmmmm. I'm thinking there will not be a next time. In a situation like this you think they would comp. you for something or give you a discount card to come back, but no... Nothing, not even a direct apology from the manager.
