Fries were crispy, carne Asada was good, thick and had flavor. Cheese was melted. Guac had a little too much onion for my taste and the serving wasn't HUGE like most places but it was enough to get full. 4.5 stars 2) Enchilada and taco combo plate- Enchilada sauce delicious, taco crispy and meat flavorful, beans and rice classic delicious. 4.5 stars 3) kids bean and cheese burrito. I didn't try it but my sim said it was good. More cheese would be better. 4.5 stars he said 4)chicks torta- my son liked it. Wife got the asada sopes which she loved and I tried and confirmed lol. My mom got the pozole and also tried that. We both loved it! Tasted homemade and authentic. I got the asada chilquiles and the chips were crunchy and the asada was cooked perfectly! Got it with the salsa verde and I highly recommend. Usually places with amazing food have more unfriendly staff but this was not the case.The staff was very inviting, personable and welcoming! First things first, let's thank the sign waiver who directed my attention towards this restaurant somewhat hidden away from the road. The ambiance is very much old school diner with mexican twist. The food is where this place excels, first off the menudo was absolutely amazing, with a nice size portion with 3 hot and I mean hot and steamy tortillas ready to be dipped! The chile relleno I got on the side was different from ones I've had before, I can say by far best chile relleno I've had in San Bernardino county altogether, same goes for the menudo. My wife had the chilaquiles and she was impressed with the flavor and told me we are coming back. The service was amazing, they are super nice which makes the food and the overall experience that much better. 5 out of 5 stars, this is our new go to spot that is 2 minutes from my house. So I came here and as soon as I walked in I was greeted as if I was at a family member's house. Free chips and salsa, TVs showing sports and outside seating! We decided to give Pancho's Kitchen a try for my dad's birthday. Walking in we were instantly greeted by our waitress. She was so friendly and welcoming and said first time visiting us right? We told her yes, and she said " well, welcome we are so glad you decided to give us a try". Already a good start. Typical menu items, we all decided on the combo's except my mom, she went with the albondiga soup. After a short wait our food came out and everything looked and smelled delicious. I had the taco and chile relleno combo which was delicious. First thing we all noticed was the beans and rice were good. The taco was nice and crispy with a good amount of chicken, freshly chopped lettuce and grated cheese. The chile relleno was so good and pretty big. This as well was made fresh to order. I could tell by the batter, it was not premade and reheated as most places do. Everyone agreed our food was great and service was amazing. Our waitress was so attentive, which we appreciated. We came during lunch hour and we could tell most of the people who were there were regulars. The place is clean. Complimentary chips and salsa are also served with your meal. Was so hopeful and excited since the reviews were good. But everything was bland. No seasoning at all. I ordered a cup of Posole. It came late and was a huge bowl not a cup. The chile relleno was AMAZING, my chimichanga was absolutely delicious, the beans and rice were perfect. I have lived in Highland for 12 years, how did I not know about this spot!
