I like and appreciate a well made pie and panCoast does it right. We have a favorite place in Vallejo where we live. Our son brought home a pie from here about a month ago and we were in awe of how excellent this pie was. Today our son called and offered to bring one home for dinner. Each ingredient is perfect. Good flavored sauce with just the right amount. Toppings don't overpower the pie, then there is the crust. Damn it is nicely crispy with great texture. I went here for the first time tonight. Other Yelpers were right. Pricey. And they just raised their prices but haven't updated their menu prices yet. A large cheese/pepperoni pizza - $25.75 and a family size garlic knots (12) - $8.50. $37 total. I was surprised so I asked about the charge and the guy at the register actually walked away mid-sentence to help someone else with something else. Rude! Next guy came up and I asked, first guy pointed at the piece of paper below their menu that says prices have gone up due to inflation, but not yet updated officially. Hmmm. So I paid, got my food. I said, where's my receipt? He said I didn't give you one. Do you want one? Yes. Oh here is this crumpled up receipt. Pizza and garlic knots were decent. We also appreciated their service when we set up a large takeout order for a party -- everything was ready on time and they were easy to work with on the order. Today I ordered the Italian sandwich man it was huge and very good ordered a slice of sausage pizza man it's was great sorry no pics we were too hungry we chow it down and had to get a few garlic knots you don't go to this place without getting done knots that's a rule . Parking kind of sucks we try not to go at a busy time . But it's worth dealing with the parking the good rules . If you have not tried this place you are missing a slice of New York. For $10 you get a giant cheesesteak with tons of meat. They do not skimp you! Although the meat could be a bit more tender, it was still good. It also comes with sweet & spicy peppers which added a nice blend of flavors. My fave part is the melted cheese. Mmmmm cheese. I ate the whole thing in one sitting and it almost killed me (in terms of fullness), but it was so worth it. Next time I'll save the other half for later so I can enjoy it twice. I really like Pan Coast pizza because it is extremely thin New York style pizza. The sauce two bread two cheese ratio is really nice. I prefer the cheese but my daughter likes the pepperoni. We typically order out but everybody's really nice and you can order online. read more

Stopped by after work to catch up with a friend. We decided to get this place cause the photos looked pretty good. The wait was not very long; like 10-15 min. They have a decent sized seating area and some room outside. We sat inside cause it was hot outside, and it was a little bit noisy. We ordered half combo and half meatzazola. I think we both expected more from New York style pizza. The pizza kept crumbling and falling off the crust, and it was pretty greasy. Super awesome place. It's always great seeing foodies from past events and recognizing people from Instagram (@harrison.eats). Pancoast is also conveniently located near the highway and las lomas high school - not too shabby of a spot! The interior is small, but this isn't a bad thing -- it had a cozy vibe to it. Additionally, there's a deck out back which is cool for socializing! The pizza was being churned out so fast by the amazing staff. The workers were polite and informative and seemed genuinely thrilled with being there. I can't wait to come back here with some buddies. If you've ever experienced 680 North traffic going towards Walnut Creek during rush hour, then you know that it can be a nightmare. I would often avoid the freeway and cut through South Main Street. In the process, I found myself passing this pizza place quite often. I finally decided to give it a try one day on my way home from work. It's been some years now, so I can't really remember what kind of pizza that I tried. Knowing me, it was probably cheese since I'm quite the boring gal when it comes to pizza toppings. But what I will never forget, is biting into one of their garlic knots for the first time. Oh my Heavens... those bad boys are a dream come true! Never had I experienced a garlic knot quite like theirs. Warm, buttery, and garlicky... always served freshly warmed out of the oven. It's that lick your fingers kind of good, and I just couldn't get enough of it! I quickly became addicted and panCoast became a regular stop off during my route home. Not gonna lie... there have been times when all I've had for dinner were those garlic knots! I've eaten a whole damn box all by myself in one night. Fast forward to now, and I'm still eating these tasty garlic knots... not for dinner like I used to, but I still enjoy them as a compliment to my pizza or salad! Speaking of salad, panCoast makes delicious salads as well! I've always enjoyed their Caesar salad but I've recently grown to love their garden salad with their delicious ranch dressing! Not sure if the dressing is homemade, but it has a wonderful taste! PanCoast also has great lunch specials which I believe are also available on the weekends. Just be careful when coming for lunch during the week because the near by high school kids raid this place! Seating and parking are both limited, but their food travels well and I usually take it to go. I've noticed the small staff changes over the years, but I've never had a bad service experience here! I miss the staff that used to know me, but the staff has always been friendly. I really enjoy panCoast and would recommend them solely based off of their addicting garlic knots! read more

I love this pizza place and the bad part is that because it is right by where I work, I am here once or twice a week. I guess bad for my waistline but soo good for my tummy. I love love pizza. So, my co-worker and I have a pizza lunch once a week and then I sneak another one in when I am having a stressful day! I love whatever there veggie special of the day is and so I always order that but their meat one is good too! I normally get the lunch special which comes with a salad and drink. I find the salad helps curve my craving for a second slice and I ALWAYS have to drink root beer with pizza (it's a habit!). Plus i found out it's cheaper to get the lunch special than to order two slices with no drink. There was a day when it was really hot so they closed early and they had used pizza boxes to close the window.. one of my colleagues told us that they had closed down! The next day, my co-worker and I went over just check and they had temporarily closed because the ovens were so hot and no one could safely work in there. Whew what a relief!! Pizza while on the road traveling in the Bay Area. My daughter had the gluten free crust with sausage and I had the Margherita pizza. The pizza was very good. Sauce was great with nice flavor, quality cheese, and the crust was ok. The crust needs some more work to get this pizza a 5 star. We liked sitting out back looking at the creek and the wildlife. This is definitely a neighborhood pizza place right outside the entrance to a school. I wouldn't say it's worth the trip off the beaten path, but if you are staying in Walnut Creek (or spent time here in your past as I did). It's worth a visit. read more

panCoast took our order online, and provided it to us for dine-in when we arrived. This is a big deal for us since we have a toddler who hates sitting in a high-chair. The pizza was great! I only rated at 4-stars rather than 5 because there are some pizza's in the world that are mind-blowing. panCoast makes a very good pizza, and we'd be happy to eat there again the next time we're in that pet of California. My son had a cheese slice, my wife had pepperoni, and I had the dailyBob. We all enjoyed our slices. They came very hot out of the oven, so we had to wait a few minutes before consuming. My son gobbled up his cheese slice. He doesn't typically eat an entire slice of pizza, but he did at panCoast. He rates it 7 stars. I still prefer something with a thicker crust most of the time, but their slices were great, and reminded me of being on the East Coast. read more

This time we tried the white cap and it was incredible! We also had to get the garlic knots because they are so flavorful.
