A little pizza joint in WC that seems to fly under the radar. Seems like a IYKYK type of place. The staff is very friendly and the pizza is delicious. The pizza dough is the perfect texture and the crust is so good!! You can order pizza whole or by the slice. We did 1 North End pizza and a few slices of cheese and Margherita for the kiddos. There isn't a ton of seating, so next time, we'll probably order for pick up, but I'm glad we finally checked it out.

A great place to grab a slice and a root beer, pizza was great, service was amazing, check it out if your in the area, I also had fun painting the Holiday Window art mural. Thanks for supporting local artist www.ChrsGranilloArt.com

My doctor wanted to test me for my reaction to gluten. Can do! I said. I stopped into panCoast pizza and ordered a pepperoni slice to-go. It took less than a minute to heat and they gave it to me in a personal pan-pizza sized box. The service was friendly and prompt and they had 3-4 styles to choose from for the single slices. They also have student discounts and quite a bit of inside seating (though no seating outside). I headed out and found a sunny spot to sit in, took a bite and adored my slice! I tend to love thin New York style pizza and this was perfectly done with just the right amount of cheese, pepperoni, and crunch. It was mouthwatering and absolutely delicious. All in all, five stars down the line and I will definitely be coming back for another slice!

    Legit NYC slices.

I am an ex-NY pizza snob jerkface and I'm here to say this is the best slice I have found in California. I've stalked slices from San Diego to SF and this is straight up NYC perfection. The one to beat, nothing has come close. I was driving from Sac to Monterey and made this special stop and now I have a reason to return to the area. Just stellar.

Not the pasta I ordered :(

Ordered food for take out through yelp and it was "meh" at best. Pizza arrived cold, salad "family" portion was small with very little dressing. Originally ordered tomato and meatballs and they sent me another small salad instead. I called them to let them know of their mistake and was asked if I wanted to tell my door dasher to come back??? I have no control of that so how would I do that?? lol. Then he asked "so what do you want to do" a refund duh! So now I have to wait 2-3 days. Hopefully he remember to ask his boss. Sigh.

I've passed by this place a few times and finally had the chance to try it. They have a M-F student special for $5 and there's also a Kaiser combo too! Service was great here and they were very nice and gave some recs too. The inside is comfy and cozy and gives an old school vibe. Great for families and a lot of locals. There is a parking lot outside along with street parking. I came in a weekday night and was able to get parking immediately. I tried quite a few things and loved them all. The thick cheese pizza my grandma loved. I tried their arugula salad it was very well made. The garlic knots were the perfect texture. The wings had heat and a kick paired perfectly went their dipping sauce. I tried their combo pizza 12 inch and it was plenty to share! Affordable priced and great for a hangout or casual date.

Welp never coming in here again. I've been a long time customer at this establishment since they opened literally as soon as they opened, and it was a little tiny shop. I just stopped in to get a piece of pizza and look how small it is. What a joke. They also change the pepperoni to the little stupid ones. It's too bad Bob would've never done that. I'm taking my money elsewhere. Could've went up the street to Slice House and got a giant piece of pizza for the same price.

Nice spot at the end of downtown. Nice selection of pies, with some less common options. Super friendly staff and customers. Easy to park at the high school if it's on-hours.

I've been craving that thin-crust, NYC-style pizza and came across Pan Coast Pizza in Walnut Creek, CA. @PanCoast_Pizza. I ordered a dozen wings, fried to perfection--crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. For the pizza, I went with an 18-inch, half Ben Franklin and half Meatzazola. The amount of meat on such a thin crust was impressive! A sprinkle of red pepper flakes made it even better. I also love that they serve local sodas from Oakland. My go-to mix? Cola, root beer, and cream soda. If you're ever in Walnut Creek, definitely check them out! Pan Coast pizza on Main Street, Walnut Creek, CA.

Such a simple and delicious addition to their menu, it gets my money every time. Both the service and ambiance can change depending on the day and time, but overall our servers are usually decently friendly. It is a family restaurant so we frequently sit next to crying/screaming children. Not their fault, but a note for those looking for a date night spot. The food is great. We get the fried spaghetti squares as an appetizer every time we visit and they are always a hit, especially to those that are new and visiting. As I mentioned before, the vegan ceasar is also a favorite. For mains I like to build my own circle pizza, and others in my group like the square pies. One of my favorite things about Melos is that I can usually request vodka sauce on my dish, whether it's pizza or lasagna. This makes my experience 10x better than other places. They also have a good ranch, which is key for a good restaurant, especially one with pizza. I do wish their prices were a bit lower, but overall it is a good place to splurge a bit. We will continue to return.

We ended with tiramisu (one of the best) and the chocolate budino, perfect to wrap it all up.

Thankfully, when a location opened in Walnut Creek, I was able to try it finally. I was honored to be a guest at Pizza My Heart's Yelp Elite Party a while ago and try lots of their delicious slices! I have been back several times since. Most recently, my family was still hungry after we met up with friends at the new Bare Bottle nearby. Their kitchen was wildly backed up, and they weren't taking any more food orders. We left hungry, and Pizza My Heart was on the way to our car, so we knew exactly where to go! Pizza My Heart sells pizzas by the slice, which comes in really handy, especially when the family wants different toppings! It was already late, and we only needed a slice each, so Pizza My Heart was perfect. It was a nice surprise to see the bright yellow surfboard we signed hung up in the restaurant. My son came with me into the restaurant to order, and he was excited to spot his name that I signed on the board! After spotting the surfboard, I was warmly greeted by Marcos and was delighted because I remembered him from the Yelp Elite Party! He was so fun and helpful at the Yelp Elite Event (we even gave him a big cheer and round of applause at the YEE because he was that good!), and I was also treated to his excellent customer service again! He told me about what slices they had with a big smile and friendly demeanor. He was quick to take our order and get us our slices boxed up. Slices here are a tad on the pricier side, but I don't think you'll feel that way when you see them chock full of toppings! They offer a slice for everyone, from vegan slices to dairy-free (which I needed to order when my nursing baby had a milk protein allergy) to a hearty slice for meat lovers, which is packed with all types of meat. I've tried a variety of slices and I've never been disappointed. I love their slices that feature ricotta cheese! Yum! Thanks Pizza My Heart! We'll be back!

Observations: 1) The place is very small. They sit you outside in a very windy alley. The food gets cold within 5min or so. So capacity is very limited. 3) We ordered lemonade for kids. They serve it in short glasses filled with ice to the brim (despite our ask for "no ice"), effectively reducing the liquid volume. We paid $35 for lemonade. 4) Food is very uneventful, nothing was remarkable. Their gnocchi with meat resembled Chef Boyardee from back in college times. Not sure why this place felt so pretentious with really no substance to back it. With so many options around like Montecatini, Doppio Zero, Benvenuti, La Fontaine, etc, not sure how they are still in business. Definitely not recommended for families, and have a hard time figuring out what audience they cater to.

We originally planned to grab boba and eat at a different restaurant but when we parked the smell in the air called us to Tomatina instead. We originally came in and the older gentleman said they couldn't seat us right away and to come back in 20 minutes. We didn't mind and took a walk around the block and was seated right away when we returned and he brought us menus. A waiter came and was friendly, making sure he got the order correct. It seemed like he may have been in training. We decided to each get a lemonade, share the meatball appetizer, I ordered the pasta trio and my husband ordered the chicken parmesan. The meal started out nice with the drinks immediately coming out and the appetizer shortly after. The drinks were good, however they were out of pint glasses and came in a collins glass instead. The waiter mentioned the lack of pints and the smaller glass calling it fancy but didn't reference if we'd get a discount or a refill due to the smaller portion as a result of the glass switch. The meatballs were tender and had a good flavor. The sauce was nice and the bread was serviceable. After we finished our appetizer, there was a lack in service for at least 15 minutes. They did not clear the dirty dishes, offer water, or provide any type of check in. While we waited, my spouse had noticed a pasta entree (and a salad) was put up and was placed on top of a pizza box. He didnt think much of it until we started to realize we had been waiting longer than felt appropriate and noticed it was 3 different colors, like you'd expect for a pasta trio like I had ordered. Eventually the pasta was removed and we gave the benefit of the doubt that it wasn't my food that had been sitting out for at at least 10 minutes and they were just slow. A few minutes later, a waitress brought our entrees and they finally cleared the appetizer plates. I took my first bite and my food was cold. Not it cooled down but was still kinda warm, any food that was exposed to air was physically cold to the touch. My husband tried to flag the waitress down that delivered the food and her and another worker were talking and looking at their register with no awareness of the rest of the room. Given the service thus far, I just got up with the food and walked it over. I explained it was cold to the point where I said she could touch it (I proceeded to touch a noodle) and it's obviously too cold to be served. She apologized and said she talk the the cook/chef. My spouse watched as she went with my cold plate to the open kitchen and it was clear that she explained I said it was cold but they were not planning on remaking it and just reheating it. A trio of pastas with 3 different sauces would not be reheated in a pan so the assumption is there would be a microwave involved. My spouse got up and approached the cook and waitress that reheating the pasta was unacceptable because if we wanted reheated pasta, we could get something from a freezer section grocery store. At this point the waitress seemed shocked that we'd say anything about them choosing to just reheat the food. After a few more remarks they finally said that they'd remake my food. But that'd mean I had to wait while my spouse ate or my husband would wait and then their food was cold when we eat together. At this point, the service was so bad and they made it fell like we were inconveniencing them by wanting at least warm food, my spouse said we just wanted to settle up and leave. Again it took them a minute to process that we didn't want to stay there anymore and eventually said we could just leave. We left and have no plans on returning. I would consider trying a different location since it's a chain, but I will not be back to the Walnut Creek location. I give Tomatina a very generous 2 stars for the service at the very start of the night and the flavor of the meatballs.
