August 2021 my bf moved to Potranco and we've been looking for a good Chinese restaurant. I wanted Chinese and we were going to go to another restaurant, but I didn't like the reviews then I saw this one. Let me tell you it didn't disappoint, it was delicious I got the general Tsos and my bf got the sesame chicken!!!! They also had a special 2 entrees, 2 soups, 2 egg rolls and 2 drinks all for $22. First Time Visit! There were a few minor disappointments, but overall I still feel four strong stars is justified. Finding the restaurant was easy, it's sign is large, up high and easy to see from the street and as you're pulling in to the shopping center parking lot. There is a ton of parking, especially on this early lunch hour on a Sunday. It was nice to see that although casual, the restaurant is clean, pleasantly decorated and we were able to seat ourselves easily and were greeted quickly by a server. She was very helpful, offering a warning of the spice level of the curry dish I asked about and was very efficient bringing us large soda cups for self-serve at their beverage station (Coke products and Luzianne teas) and soup. As for our meals, I chose the curry dish with chicken. Wished the sauce was thicker, thus adding more flavor to the dish. The white rice is long-grain and was cooked perfectly, tasted clean, not typical for Chinese style rice, but very good. The curry is spicy, (dried) red chili skins and seeds can be seen throughout and I'd rate it as "average" on my personal scale of curry deliciousness. The hubby ordered Orange Chicken (naturally) with steamed white rice, as well and he declared it way better than Panda Express. To get any kind of reaction from food is HUGE for him. So you can certainly put that in your pipe and smoke it. LOL! The won ton soup was "below average to average" as it was lukewarm at best, the won ton had the tiniest bit of meat at the center (see photo) and while the won ton piece itself had no flavor, the broth had a nice taste. The service was great, having been checked on by our server about 3x. Would like to give this place another try and taste a few different menu items. I was happy to see they delivered to my neighborhood. However, I should have drove somewhere else instead. The general tso was soggy and i got it spicy and it was bland with a weird flavor. Your normal American Chinese food selections:General Tso, Beef and Broccoli etc. The Crab Rangoons had little "crab" flavor which is disappointing but nonetheless not surprising. I ordered the General Tso which bland and the portion sizing for $9 (dinner) was not adequate. The taste was on par with any local Chinese restaurant so don't expect anything past that. The Hot and Sour soup on the other hand was fantastic though after getting the small, which seemed like 6 tablespoons worth Iwanted more. The flavor was great the spice level on point as well. This place also serves up chicken wings, because well which American Chinese food joint doesn't. I'll make a stop back for those and the soup but hard pass on the other staples. read more

Panda Brothers is a new business replacing ole dirty Chinese restaurant that was previously at this location. The person I spoke to on the phone said that they have some old employees, but new owners. I've yet to check their health inspection score, but decided to throw caution to the wind, and order for delivery. I bought beef lo mein, mixed veggies with chicken, vegetable spring rolls, and fried rice. I recall the price being decent, and the delivery timing only slightly longer than expected. I was wicked hungry, though, so I got impatient. They were polite when I called looking for my food, and it arrived just as I was all hangry. The lo mein was decent for SA! I liked the texture, and it wasn't too greasy, or too salty. I had to add seasonings, as per usual in this city. Garlic & ginger ftw! I felt the same about the fried rice. The mixed veggies were pretty delicious, but I wanted more veggies, and less chicken. Next time I'll get that without meat. The spring rolls were tiny, maybe an 1.5" long. I honestly felt ripped off. There was barely any filling in one of the two, and I think it was mostly unseasoned cabbage. I don't eat pork (never vacation at a farmstead between two hog farms), and I'm deathly allergic to seafood, so the spring rolls were my only option for deep fried goodness. I didn't get sick, they seemed friendly, and I didn't have to cook. But veggie dishes should be veggie based, and spring rolls should have some substance to them. This is a new restaurant just a few minutes away from my home. I'd read a couple of reviews (a little mixed), and thought I would give it a try. Had heard good things about the wings, but didn't try them. I was more tempted by the Teriyaki Chicken. My son chose the Orange Chicken. For an appetizer we chose the Cheese Rangoon. This was my first time ordering food through the Yelp app and everything went smoothly at pick-up time. It was ready in a reasonable amount of time and the bag was wonderfully warm as I took it to my car. Getting home I was happy to see the amount of rice and entrees we received. The Cheese Rangoon came six to an order and were fried to a golden brown. The usual sweet red sauce accompanied them and I ate it up. ;). My son's orange chicken was so good and there was so much chicken packed into the container he couldn't finish it all. My Teriyaki Chicken wasn't as good. With Teriyaki I expected a more bold flavor, but ended up with flavor that was just barely there. The celery, onions and mushrooms were nice additions to the dish. Next time I will try a different dish . . . maybe that Orange Chicken, or even the wings. read more

Take out only, and as long as they keep up the good food and great service that's fine by me! This is the most affordable Chinese take out around and that's what keeps me coming back so often. It wasn't the best but ever since they shut it down and reopened the take out restaurant with a new name the food is much better. Call to place your order and you will received it under 30 minutes! If you live around lackland you might as well try this take out food. I always receive great customer service over the phone and upon delivery and my order is always correct which is great! We also ordered some fried dumplings. Everything was delicious. Very generous portions all around, and the taste of each item was great. I didn't like that the fried rice had bean sprouts, but I ate around them-thats how good the fried rice was. The portions were so large that I had food for two days after. This is the most disgusting Chinese food that I have ever tasted in my entire life. I don't know how in the world they have a 4.6 star rating. Good service, but one of my pet peeves is when Chinese takeout places cut costs by overloading the dishes with vegetables. Everything was ok for me. I wasn't super impressed with the pad Thai combination, thought it could have been more flavorful. The appetizer sampler was ok. I got a ton of chicken in it and a couple of everything else. The ribs were pretty old or over cooked. My fiancé liked his peppered steak, and that was pretty good I liked it the most out of everything. We also got lemon chicken which he liked the sauce.
