    UPDATE! This place is great! My old review still stands. I ordered here again today 7/3/2020 and still received excellent service! The people who work here are so nice! I ordered my usual orange chicken dinner special that comes with a drink of your choice, and I added an order of chicken rice, and egg rolls that come with 2. They were so kind to include 2 nice size crab Rangoon's samples and an extra egg roll with my order! My boyfriend devoured the 2 rangoons, and I ate the egg rolls (my favorite!). Both super delicious! Thank you Panda China! ------------------------------ Hi. I ordered from this place and it was great! Live about 7minutes away so when the food arrived, it was FRESH & HOT! -If you're looking for something good, order here. Food had just the right amount of flavor. -If you're looking for a big portion, come HERE! (I got the Orange Chicken w/ fried rice DINNER special & my bf got the Mongolian Beef dinner special.) all for $25 bucks total. I will be coming back haha :)

    Ample servings-- plenty of food in which to feast. Rangoon(s) very tasty. A couple were over-fried (lost chewy pleasure). Egg roll wraps crispy, inside contents disappointing: no cabbage, carrot or sprout crunches, just pasty-meat w/ acceptable flavor. Pad Thai disappointing: overpowering julienned large white onions used instead of green garden onions; again, no (julienned topped) carrot crunch; noodles slightly overcooked (broke easily like gf-type products on reheat); served w/ lemon garni instead of traditional lime wedges. Kung pao beef requested mild-to-medium spicy; absolutely no heat nor single pepper in entree, but a 50/50 portion of eighth-cut chunks of green bell peppers, sprinkled w/ a few mushroom slices and a couple of white or yellow onion strips, and traditional peanuts. Tasty. Pan fried noodles ("Crispy noodles" via menu, could not be substituted for rice, so ordered ala carte as added side (regardless, (included) rice was not delivered--but maybe all entrees oddly do not include rice as was expected. Overall, good effort by this restaurant, a strong three-stars. Was craving Chinese & Thai, found this accommodation nearby, appreciated fast delivery, finding, disappointing tastes were offset by the quick delivery. Final compromise: Panda China met the expectation.

    Kung Pao Beef special. They could stand to knock off some of the zucchini.

    they have change new owner so all old review need void is not fair for new owner i will suggest try they one more time

Tucked into a no-frills corner on the South Side, Dai Yee's looks modest from the outside, but step in after 10 p.m. and it's pure magic. The room is packed with everybody--sneakerheads, nurses coming off shift, club kids, cops, and couples on first dates who somehow heard the legend. The vibe is chaotic in the best way: woks roaring, orders flying, and that unmistakable perfume of sizzling garlic, ginger, and chili filling the air. The food is straight-up stupid good. The Hong Kong-style salt & pepper smelts are crackly, spicy, and gone in 30 seconds. The beef chow fun has that elusive wok hei (breath of the wok) that most places only dream of, wide rice noodles slick with smoky char and tender flank steak. The black pepper beef tenderloin is velvet-soft, glossy, and aggressively peppery in a way that makes you order extra rice just to survive the happiness. The Singapore noodles are bright curry perfection, and the Mongolian beef is saucy, crispy-edged, and borderline addictive. Portions are straight out of the 90s--massive trays that could feed a family of four for under $15. Cash-only, BYOB, and everything comes out blazing hot in under ten minutes even when the place is slammed. The ladies running the show are legends: fast, funny, and they'll roast you (lovingly) if you can't handle the spice level you asked for. If you leave Chicago without hitting Dai Yee's at least once (preferably at 1 a.m. with a six-pack), you didn't really experience the city. This is real-deal, no-filter, soul-satisfying Chinese food that reminds you why we fall in love with restaurants in the first place. Dai Yee's isn't just a restaurant; it's a Chicago institution in the making. I'd wait in line in a blizzard for those smelts. See you at midnight.

Dam I was disappointed we went away empty. Based on the reviews I really wanted to try this place but alas it wasn't meant to be. How do you give a rating to a restaurant you didn't eat at? Sorry I can't give you a 5 star rating but it's hard to judge on not eating your food

My one recommendation would be to pay close attention to the menu. I didn't realize that the shrimp in the walnut shrimp was battered and fried - would have picked something else if I had. It's crazy it's completely died down by the time we were finished with our meal. The service was great, the interior decor was beautiful and the staff was friendly. The dim sum offered for brunch was good as well but pricey. Especially since some dishes were only offered with two pieces. If you have a party of three then you're kind of forced into buying two of the same dishes. Which is strange. Traditionally most dim sum dishes have three pieces. Rarely see 2 pieces being offered especially for double the price. We ordered their Jiaozi, Char Sui Bao, crab Rangoon, chilly chilli noodles, and their Xiang long Bao. All were great. The chilly chilli noodles is served cold and was very flavorful. The Xiang Kong Bao was amazing. The potstickers was probably my favorite dish and it's mess up char Sui Bao. We were going to order wings but they had ran out I guess by 12pm on a Sunday. I was also going to order fried rice but it wasn't offered for brunch. Overall despite the priciness of the menu, we still enjoyed our food and the service. I obviously knew what I was getting myself into by visiting this place, and can definitely see myself returning in the future.
