Food is gross, chicken was way overcooked and so was the rice. Waste of time and money coming here.

I think I'm finally done eating here. Every time that I come here now, I always wonder why I punish myself after the meal. The chow mein noodles are always small broken noodles that are tough from drying out under the heat-lamps for too long. Nowadays it seems to be mostly cabbage anyways, and cabbage past its prime at that. My go to dish used to be the honey walnut shrimp but now whenever I order this menu item, it always seems to come out soggy. The crust has a mushy, mealy texture and peels away from the shrimp in gooey chunks. How long has this stuff been sitting in a bowl on the line? Their vegetable spring rolls are one of the worst food items I've ever put in my mouth. It's just a soggy wrapper full of vegetable paste. I used to enjoy the Beijing beef from here but it seems to have fallen to the same fate as everything else, too long under a heat lamp. I shouldn't have to peel off a layer of "Sauce Skin" to get to my mushy beef underneath. What really confuses me about the whole ordeal is... all of this stuff is pre-made right? no one is back there hand crafting grandma's sauce and battering up fresh pieces of meat. Why can't they keep the sauces and the meat items separate, then toss it together when someone orders it? seems like a landmark idea, crust stays crispy. Not only that but more menu options open up with no base increase of ingredients. someone wants Beijing chicken? Boom just toss some chicken in Beijing sauce. Orange shrimp, same concept. Hell, when was the last time you went and ordered boneless wings at a Wingstop and they just bring out "ye old vat" of pre-sauced soggy chicken wings, never happens right? And stop being so stingy with the candied walnuts in the shrimp. It's the only thing y'all serve anymore that has any kind of redeeming crunch to it. read more

Just curious as to why this is the only restaurant in Bastrop that does not have indoor dinning or even pick up? Line is wrapped around the building every time you try to go through the drive though. Might need to change your name because there ain't nothing Express about this store. read more

A surprisingly good Panda Express location. I stopped here with low expectations, but still wanting Chinese food. Panda Express now has brown rice and a very serviceable grilled teriyaki chicken. The service at this location was friendly and pleasant as well. If only they had unsweet tea and/or a decent fountain soda mix, I'd have given it a fifth star! read more

Panda express is almost always good. I love their orange chicken most of all and when i get tired of it which is rare, they always have something to tempt me with. I normally love their chow mien but when i went to this location for the first time i found it to be lacking in taste and greasy. I really hope they fix it. Thats why i only gave them four stars. For now ive switched to ordering the steamed rice because the chow mien was so bad. read more

The person who helped me was friendly, but I was disappointed with the serving. I had beef chicken and Kung Pao chicken and think overall there were probably three small pieces of meat. 1st off before Panda Express would give you a decent amount of food! Now they give you small portions? For a 7.30$ plate? I've gone to other Asian places and they stack a lot of food for cheaper (6.95$) 2nd workers seem so unfriendly and rude! My husband stopped in for lunch. He had the chicken teriyaki which is usually really good. He found several bones and took his plate up to show the employees and they just totally disregarded him altogether. Now he's having abdominal pain. Service sucks! The staff are always rushing customers even through the drive thru and please do not even THINK of stopping there within AN HOUR of closing because you will have to wait for everything including the sweet and sour sauce which means they let things run out completely before making more. I went by the drive thru ordered me a bowl and and extra entry. They said I the lo mein wasn't ready to give it 3 minutes and park in the front that they'll bring it. Well 5 minute 7 minutes pass and nothing. I go inside and and they forgot or didn't notice. The lo mein is ready and cooked and now they told me they don't now what happens. Am now they running out of both entries I asked for to wait longer. So I asked to just Cancel the order and they can't give me my money back so now I'm waiting for my order. read more

I usually love stopping at Panda in Austin or San Marcos for some semi-healthy food, but, this Bastrop location is terrible! I ate for free today because last time was so bad they have us two more free meals to give them another chance. It was just as bad! Associates think it's social hour vs work. Three of them were eating McDonalds together in the dining room while we waited for food. They were out of half of the entrees, egg rolls, and spring rolls. The food was really good, great for Chinese on the run at a decent price but my issue today was an communication. I went through the drive-thru and the lady working was very hard to understand both over the com. and face to face, she didn't speak clearly enough and wouldn't repeat my order back to me. When I went to pay I was pretty sure she said $9 something and that seemed right with what I thought I order but when I got my food and the receipt it was $12. I like Panda a lot. They are pretty much my goto place for a healthier lunch or dinner when we are wanting something simple and fast. Food is good service is friendly not personable but friendly. Worst customer service I've experienced. Tried calling to place a catering order for 45 minutes & no one ever answered the phone. Went by the restaurant & stood for 20 minutes waiting on a manager that completely ignored my presence because she was busy. She was the only one in the place that could "take a catering order". The girl "Karissa" at the front was very apologetic & offered me a drink. When she stopped the manager to tell her I was waiting, she got yelled at. Management really needs to evaluate the employees at this location. Panda Express is decent Chinese fast food and convenient, but we walked out of this restaurant on a Saturday evening with our question answered as to why this location seemed vacant, comes down to rude employees. Both females working tonight acted like they could care less about how food was handled and were blatantly rude when we asked to sample the new kale dish, they rolled their eyes. When I picked my side of vegetables, all that was left was mostly carrots and when asked if a new batch was coming out, she rudely stated no, it would be 4 minutes, sighed out loud and tossed the box aside asking "why? You don't like carrots?" I was stunned and politely said no, not that many. She mumbled something to the cashier who grabbed her head and said "oh my god!" Then they both went to the drive through window and leaned over as if to hang out. My Husband and I were appalled and instead of waiting for the veggies, left. Adrian not only greeted us, and asked us if we would like to try a sample.... (My wife and I ALWAYS try a honey walnut shrimp as an "appetizer" - we LOVE that dish, but generally choose a lower calorie dish as our entree.) Adrian then suggested I try the new PORK dish (I do NOT remember the exact name). He said, "Today is our fist day serving this dish, I think you will enjoy it." I DID ENJOY IT... I chose it as my entree. He used "suggestive sales" but was not OBNOXIOUS or ROBOTIC. His "Suggestive sales" was as genuine as I have ever been "Suggestively sold." Later, I approached the counter to find his name (I did not know it was on the receipt) and he was in drive thru; When he finished on the headset - he saw me looking his direction, and he walked up and said, "How can I help you?" I went through the drive-thru, keeping a mental note of Yelper Thuy H. who most recently left a review for this location, and to my surprise, the girls working that night weren't rude in any way. Perhaps they have new staff members or the girls/guys aren't always that way. As for the food, it didn't taste as fresh as I thought it could be and the honey walnut shrimp had more of a mushy consistency to it. Not appetizing at all. I visited the local Bastrop location on my way home from work. I was told there was a 10 minute wait for the grilled teriyaki. I was ok with this, paid for my order, and was directed to a parking spot to wait. That was 4:27, come 4:50 I got back in the drive thru line. I was told by the cashier that she was "running around". I don't know what that was supposed to mean... If you do multiple tasks, or go on break, pass along the info a customer is waiting for their order. She got someone who told me they're not allowed to give a refund. WHAT!!?? WHAT!!?? They told me my order was "right there". I said no, it's cold now. They said more teriyaki chicken should be coming out soon. WHAT!!?? I'd have to wait longer...!? I told this person I wanted my money back to get dinner from somewhere else.
