The steamed buns were cooked (steamed?) perfectly, with a soft and pillow consistency. The fillings didn't skimp on the protein, and were tender and flavorful. The Spicy Mongolian Beef, especially, had some noticeable heat. They did this without being a sauce-grenade. The Chicken and Fried Rice bowl might as well have been from a microwave. While I would understand if ingredients were scooped and ladled from a pan, these tasted reheated. The chicken had no crispness at all, and the rice felt mushy and overdone. The sauce, meanwhile, did little except giving sweetness and moisture. The service was reasonably fast for a fast casual spot that is starting to make pickup orders for the lunch rush. Final verdict: A great place to get some Bao buns, and thus makes for a fantastic, not-massive lunch. However, the bowls leave much to be desired.
