Panda Express makes me so sad... so sad. My family insisted on stopping here because my sister was craving it. Omg. SO OILY!!! Especially because not many people come to this particular Panda, the food has been sitting, not fresh and soaking in oil. I am a faithful Panda Express eater (yeah yeah yeah calories blah blah blah) and I have to say this is one of the worst locations I have ever been too, and I have been here SEVERAL times. But after this last time I have vowed not to go back. Most Panda's are quick and even if there's a line you know you won't wait long. Not this place! Almost every time there is only ONE person working the food line (and sometimes drive-thru) and maybe one person (yesterday there were none) cooking food in the back and they were out of several dishes. It takes forever to get your meal as one person is serving and ringing up. There is always a line in the drive through as well as the dining area. Additionally, the staff here is regularly very short and unfriendly. Much of the time their dishes don't taste as good as other Panda locations (you know when you have that hankering for Panda, go out of your way to eat there only to find the dish you have been craving tastes like it's missing ingredients....blah...buzzkill!) This last visit I took a few bites of my food and couldn't eat any more. It was that bad. No flavor, and the chow mein noodles seemed very mushy and undercooked. I mean, c'mon Panda! The dining room is almost always dirty and tables are not bussed quickly, probably because that would require an additional employee LOL. Step it up Panda, you can do better!! Wow, I have rarely had such a great experience at what people consider to be a fast-food restaurant. Brianna P. was perfect. She was a little busy helping another customer when I pulled up to the drive-thru, but she was prompt and courteous and I only had to wait a minute or two. She has a nice voice and was very efficient. She took my order and got it exactly right. She remembered to ask me if I wanted to donate money to the hurricane victims. My food was hot and fresh and came out fast, and proved to be delicious. I will definitely come here again. Worst Panda I've ever been to. Got a rice bowl with single entre of teriyaki chicken. Came with just couple small pieces of chicken, about enough to cover half the top of my bowl. Chicken had little flavor, and they don't serve sauce on top or on the side anymore. They give you packets of teriyaki sauce that are impossible to open. I guess that you're supposed to bring scissors or your own bottle of sauce. I was here last about a year ago, and hadn't improved. But in Cottonwood you have few fast food options. Where do I begin.....was letting my family off easy with food on my Mother's Day dinner. I was hungry for Orange Chicken and Egg Rolls. I suggested Panda as it is a restaurant that I enjoy those items. I have never had such horrible food from this location. The Egg Rolls were very greasy and undercooked and the Orange Chicken was over cooked to the point of being inedible or it had been sitting in the holding table to long. Other members of my family also made comments that some of the other items they had got seemed dry, old like it had been held in warmer table to long or cold. This Panda is either hit or big miss. Yesterday was a BIG miss. It will be a long time before we return. Golden Dragon at least is always fresh and hot when we pickup and the price is about the same. read more

Second time in as many weeks this has happened... I got home with half of what I paid for. Ordered a 3 entree plate with honey walnut shrimp x2 and Beijing beef. I really like this Panda Express but I'm getting real tired of always having to wait on the Grilled Teriyaki Chicken and the Orange Chicken. Last time I came here I ordered some Grilled Teriyaki Chicken and they told me "Sorry, it's still in the freezer" like come on, it's like the most popular entree and it's not even prepared. We ate there about a month ago and the food was fresh, hot and good. I also want to add that we had excellent customer service that day.

We arrived here at 7 pm and most food selections were empty or very low so we had to wait for things to be cooked. As our food was being packaged they realized they were out of teriyaki sauce which would of meant an additional 15 min wait so we went home with dry teriyaki chicken. Who runs out of sauce? Pros: Honey walnut shrimp & Shanghai Angus beef were cooked perfectly. Cream cheese Rangoon were good. Cons: ordered 2nd entree of Orange chicken & was told a fresh bowl was coming right up. Husband ordered & his was prepared. Cashier gave us the total handed us our to-go bag. Went to the park (beautiful day) and opened my plate to no orange chicken! Immediately called to complain. Was given the 3rd degree like I had done something wrong. Took over 3 minutes before I was told to return to get my orange chicken. Finished eating what I had and made a return trip to restaurant. Showed them completely spotless meal compartment. Staff then filled a little tiny to-go box with orange chicken and a very insincere "sorry". Nothing beyond bare minimum in recompense - nothing extra for my time, effort, extra 10 miles of vehicle use, etc. When your business errs, making the customer whole for EVERYTHING should be done. Lady in front of me was also waiting for orange chicken - wonder what she actually got, if anything? I came here today and they only had 1 cook and like 8 people waiting for so many sides because everything was empty . You can see people annoyed. I don't blame the employees cause they just doing their job but def looked like they needed help. I've been to this Panda Express maybe 4 or 5 times. Each time, I have to pull up to park and wait for my food because they never seem to have any ready to go. The woman who took my order seemed frantic so I asked her to repeat herself seeing as I couldn't understand her well. She told me she was too busy and proceeded to hang up on me. I have been here 2 times and the 2 times have been very unpleasant. The first time I came the food was old you can tell it was stale and dry, it was not appetizing at all. The second time I came they gave us very little food. They are very stingy with the food. I got a bowl with half chow main and half fried rice, then I got honey walnut shrimp on top and the girl literally gave me only 5 shrimp. That left my bowl 3/4 full. Not good Panda. Quality is dropping at this location. Recently hit the drive thru and due to no one recognizing I was there I left. Couple weeks later a tried again and this time I at least got help but was told they were out of teriyaki chicken. I left. This past Sunday, easter, my family really wanted to eat here so I gave in. Lucky me I get a chicken bone in my teriyaki chicken and a huge onion peel in my chow mien. I brought these items to the lady that helped us, she showed other employees and tossed the items. Friendly clean establishment, young gentlemen were attentive and polite upon ordering. Price was right for the 2 entree plate. Also did senior citizens discount. Husband enjoyed the teriyaki chicken and also orange chicken. For me, chicken and string bean, also chicken and mushrooms were very good. The side of curly noodles were also tasty. The server we got today was Fernanda V. she was VERY stingy with the food. And seemed to be bothered when I told her if she could put a little more in there. I got a bowl with chow mein and orange chicken and it seemed as if she was counting the pieces of chicken she was putting in the bowl like c'mon now. Yes, I know it'll have less chicken than a plate but she barely put anything on it. I had to go back and order a side of orange chicken. Definitely not coming back here. I don't like to leave bad reviews but I have had terrible service here too many times today being the worst! One of the employees ( can't state her name) is just terrible. The times that I have gone into Panda Express it seem like she doesn't really care to take my order properly. On two occasions her friend has shown up and this employee has completely skipped me and has taken her friend's order over mine even though I was next in line . One of her co workers told her that she had to take my order first and this employee straight out said " but I wanted to take hers first". Then when she finally takes my order, which one side was broccoli beef she give me the most old soggy disgusting broccoli that was for some reason still sitting there. Worst Panda Express I've ever experienced. I live locally and sometimes get the urge for Chinese takeout. The food is horrible and there seems to be no manager there. Entrees hard as a rock, rice that tastes about like cardboard and msg, chow mien noodles too much oil, close drive thru 15 minutes early, etc. I recommend avoiding this place. The worst thing about it is that when it opened a local family owned Chinese restaurant right next door had to go out of business. That was a good restaurant and a very nice family. read more

For fast food, Panda Express is surprisingly tasty and fresh, and reasonably priced. I am a local and I have tried the Chinese restaurants in town and they are expensive and just plain awful. Panda Express is missing one star because this location is chronically short staffed and there does not seem to be a manager on site because it is often chaotic and there are always dishes that are unavailable, which is frustrating. Regardless, it is a good choice if you want good Chinese at a reasonable price. read more
