First, Alice, who is one of the owners, waited on us and could not have been more friendly or personable - she is a joy! The restaurant serves a number of different Asian cuisines - in addition to Chinese there are Thai, Japanese and Vietnamese offerings as well. We started with pan-fried gyoza which were SO good - fresh and flavorful. Hubs loves kimchi so had to try theirs - he inhaled the bowl and declared it amazing (I'm not a fan but it did smell yummy and garlicky!!). He enjoyed it so much he got an order to go as well. I tried my go-to Chinese favorite Kung Pao Chicken - it was quite good, well spiced, full of fresh veggies and lots of peanuts. Next time I'll probably get it with shrimp or tofu. Hubs had Pad Kee Mao with chicken (Thai hot!) and loved it. Although we were too full, the almond pudding on the menu did sound good - maybe next time!

The restaurant is small and the decor is what I'd call cozy chaotic - lots of beautiful Thai shrines and figures, but then funky Christmas lights strung over whimsical photos. Don't let the "Reserved" tags on every table cause you concern, we and every party that came in after us were assured we could sit anywhere. We started with the Som Tam papaya salad at a medium and it had a perfect kick with the sour-sweet-funk punch of lime, fish sauce, rock sugar, probably some tamarind? It was fresh, cool and crunchy and a refreshing start to the meal. I had to try the Summer Breeze Rolls because I was actually first introduced to this restaurant by their stalls set up at various local farmers markets and the peanut sauce is out of this world, perfectly sweet and salty and a little curry spice kick as well. The rolls were wrapped a bit loose but I love that they grill the shrimp and also stuff mostly with lettuce instead of a ton of noodles so the rolls were more crisp than squish/starch. I got the panang curry medium and I think I could have gone a step up on heat but it was a nice mild burn that let the flavor of the sauce shine through. The veggies were crisp, the chicken tender, and I was happy with every bite. My father got the Lard Na 100 with crispy duck (a $10.50 upcharge but so worth it, so well cooked and crisp!) and loved it, just had no heat despite ordering it medium. I was impressed with the noodles - wide rice noodles but cooked firm so they didn't fall apart but had a delightful chew. The service was friendly, attentive, and super helpful with suggestions on heat level since we hadn't been before and didn't know if they pulled their punches (they don't, so start at a level below what you usually get elsewhere). We're now on a quest to eat our way through the menu!

Hi, my wife and I occasionally eat the at the panda express (5441 S Williamson Blvd, Port Orange, FL 32128). Today, at about 5:00pm on 9.28.2018, I went with my wife, (thank God she waited in the car with our dog), to get some takeout. Instead I was to be apart of one of the worst experiences I've ever had as a customer, just about anywhere that I can remember! As I was waiting for my order to be made by the young, female employee, who is rather petite; she was waiting on a new thing of fried rice to be finished from the cooks. There were two male cooks present, both somewhat young. They taunted and laughed at the female employee serving me. She asked them repeatedly to please carry the large wok of overflowing fried rice for her, from the kitchen area to the serving area, as she could not lift it. She also appeared to have a back brace on and was juggling working the drive-through as well. One of the cooks even scooped and added more to the wok just to make it heavier, while laughing at her. It was literally stacked up and ready to fall out of the wok. It looked heavy even to me and I'm 6'1 195lbs. The guy that verbally threatened me with physical violence later, did carry the wok part way, but as if to insult her further, stopped halfway and plopped it down laughing as she struggled to get it over to the counter and to the serving area. It was embarrassing. As I was waiting, I witnessed this going on, they continued to laugh and taunt her through the whole thing, as she became more and more visibly upset and she verbally asked them multiple time to please stop. I heard her say: 'It wasn't funny when you did this to me this morning. Please don't do this now, I'm tired of this. You know I can't carry that. It's too heavy for me.' She was trying her hardest to stay professional, but they didn't care. At this point, after having watched and listened to this fiasco for a couple of minutes, I got fed up and I said to the two cooks, 'Do you think that's funny to taunt her?' 'What the hell is wrong with you two'. In response the smaller of the two cooks came over to the counter to tell me a story about how 'big his balls are' and how he would show me 'how big a man he is in the parking lot'. I made it clear that real men don't act this way. He then proceeded to wash up and remove his apron while he told me to 'hang on, i'll be right there to show you how big my balls are'. I'll see you in the parking lot, hang on.' I let him know a man with 'big balls' doesn't taunt and mistreat a petite woman, or anyone else for that matter, that his balls in fact were nonexistent, and if he tried to start a fight, I would be more than happy to call the police and watch him get arrested. I told him he was crazy to think fighting me was going to do anything for his situation. I pulled my phone out to let him know that if he threatened me again, I would be calling the police as I was not interested in fighting with someone acting like a punk and I was not going to be threatened. He ended up backing off, or so it would seem, as he didn't follow me into the parking lot, even-though I did wait a moment, in my car, just in case he decided to come out and physically or verbally threaten me some more, so I could try to get it on video as at that point, I would be calling the police. The whole thing was very loud and very tense. I've seen a lot of bad behavior from lots of people over the years, but this was pretty horrible. *I never would become physical with anyone and I never have. I had no plans to do so with this kid on this day; however, I also was not going to be silenced by the him threatening or trying to intimidate me. A real person, a real man, should always stand up and call out bullying when they see it, especially when it is the sexist kind of garbage that these two dumb kids were doing to this young woman. The big brother in me was not going to sit idly by while people acted like a that, taunting a young woman in such a horrible manner, in front of customers no less. Don't spend your money here until this person acting like a thug is fired and they learn how to train these guys, or anyone else for that matter, to show some damn respect to female employees and their customers. read more
