First time we've cone back in a while. Ordering was very well maintained. Wait time was very good. But when we got home and opened our meals we were surprised to see that the containers where not filled all the way. I ordered broccoli beef and got 4 pieces of beef about 1" each and then maybe 4 pieces of broccoli. The teriyaki chicken was not even filled all the way. My daughter got sweet fired chicken and on one side there were 5 pieces!! And the other side has like 7 and that includes some very tiny pieces. Fires rice was mushy. If they're trying to cut back..it's noticeable! Gave 2 stars because the set up and ordering was very well managed. 0 for the food. read more

They had 4 empty pans and nothing being cooked when I walked in - so everything I wanted, I'd have to wait to be cooked. 2 ladies up front and 2 in the back and no one was cooking anything. I had a catering order done through this location and I messed up the date of pick up by one week. I received a call from Dulce the manager stating that my order was ready. I thought they were a week early, but looking at my receipts, I was wrong. I told her to hold my order and that I would be in later that day. I showed up about 4 hours later as I was in Dublin at the time. I explained my situation and that I was more than willing to pay for the whole meal and order again for the following week, but I wanted to donate the food somewhere. Without any hesitation, Dulce told me not to worry and confirmed the date of my party again. She said to come back the following week for my food. I came back the following week with my wife and the food was ready to go. Considering it was over a 200 dollar order, I was very relieved. Here right now, ordered online for 6 pm pickup, waiting on the vegetables. 5-10 more minutes. Why bother and what's the problem having the items ready. Update-After 22 minutes, the vegetables arrived, I asked what was wrong now, and was told "there's nothing wrong, we're waiting on the string bean chicken, that'll be six minutes." I said just go with broccoli beef. They pack it, bag it, I check the other box, and lo and behold-missing an entree, I ask, what was supposed to go here? She says-oh, the beijing beef, that's not ready, that'll be six minutes. Are these consecutive six minutes, additional six minutes? I can see the lone cook with only 2 woks back there, he's only making orange chicken. Terrible experience, definitely last visit there. Don't count on ever getting teriyaki sauce on your teriyaki chicken, countless times I've said please put sauce on my chicken and rice and now the third time getting home to no sauce on anything and last time I asked for it on the side and got nothing. I'm happy to have a new and clean PANDA EXPRESS in my part of town. I've never been much of a Panda guy, but I've really been watching what I'm eating and recently found their lite menu to be helpful. They've got a wok line of items that are all about 200 calories. I'm big on the chicken teriyaki and the green bean chicken. I can eat tasty items, spend about $6 bucks and only ingest about 550 calories - mostly protein. Take note, this location has very little indoor seating (two tables). Good for summer, bad for winter. 3.25 stars. read more

When ever I want great Chinese food I drive up to San Francisco. When it comes to Chinese food San Jose is pretty bad, South San Jose horrific. I'm giving Panda Express 4 starts based on the area, "South San Jose". Compared to other Chinese restaurant nearby you can't beat this place based on the price and quality. While food is okay (which is why I gave two stars), the service at this specific place is one of the worst I've ever seen. No one seems happy to serve the customers. If I have come with or want to take out for family, start ordering, soon after the first item, they're like "is that it", and I go.. no I have more to order.. and ask for the second item, and again, "is that it", and I constantly have to tell them I want to order more. Looks like they don't want to take orders. And they always give me wrong order, which I silently take as I dont want to deal with those guys anymore. And these days they reduced the meat quantity. This was a first time eating at this certain panda place, and I literally waiting for me food for 20min. They said orange chicken will be ready in 2min and waited patiently. The food was ready but they kept skipping my order and I complained first to a lady named Kim, and she just ignored me. This is a new location and I understand that but one thing that really bothered me the other night and I had to post it up on yelp. I walked into this place around 6 pm and asked for white rice and they said they ran out. I was really confused. How does an "asian" restaurant run out of rice? Thats like if I walked into Mcdonald's and asked them for a large fries and they said "actually we ran out of french fries" inconceivable. Real talk though I am a guilty fan of panda express. Their prices aren't terrible and its never a bad day to get orange chicken lol. This place is newer which means its cleaner. Their layout is kind of weird and causes lots of traffic jams b/c its built longer but not wide. So the line will block the doorway and makes it a task to get a refill on your drink or even exit the building. The people that work here are nice and friendly which is a bonus. I just don't get how you can run out of rice. Also maybe its just me but it seems like the food boxes are getting smaller or they are just giving smaller portion sizes to everyone to save money? Either way I excuse the fact they ran out of rice b/c they are a new business... I will not stop going to panda express i just was really disappointed by the no rice and the smaller portion sizes. 2/2/19, went there for lunch - 11:51am - ticket #205440. The girl behind the register needs to be sent home for an attitude adjustment. The restaurant needs to be closed for cleaning. The floors and tables were sticky and filthy. The soda machine was stuck in the "on" position - so not working properly. The prices are way too high for service and cleanliness like this. I will have to go to another location from now on. A small Panda Express with a bad layout. Fresh cheap Chinese-like food. Good for a budget, but unfortunately the Panda-portions have gotten smaller over time, giving you less of the bargain that Panda used to represent. Still a good way to get a cheap meal with lots of veggies. Watch some of those items like the popular Orange Chicken, that contain trans-fat. Also the Panda in large quantities is known to induce intestinal difficulties. The layout sucks.. the line is in direct conflict with the door, quite awkward. Also, very little seating. My visit today was one of the worst visits I have ever experienced at any panda express. There was obviously a lot of to go orders and while I was waiting for a little while before the even looked up, It got worse from there. The person behind the counter was too busy taking her completing orders to go I was distracted with a lot of talking to her coworkers more than once I had to ask for her to take the order correctly, She emptied out one of the portions because she got the portion wrong when I got home I realized that she had given me double portion of the one item I had asked as my third item her being so distract it made my visit extremely Satisfactory. I paid in cash so I didn't need a receipt but that teaches me to always keep my receipt hopefully the manager at that site will know that I'm not calling just to get free food because that's not what I'm about. Ordered food here during the pandemic and WHAT A MISTAKE. They were extremely unorganized first of all as they had many orders done but WERE NOT calling them out and people who ordered online were just waiting there for nothing. As people got frustrated on waiting they started walking up to the window and then the worker gives them the meals. I felt bad and many of them were upset, I heard one guy tell the worker "why don't you just call the number out?" And stormed off. That I can let go seeing as the pandemic was sudden that essential workers are trying to figure out the best way to service... I get that. BUT my friend and I placed an order. When we got home OMG I was pissed off !! I asked for half and half of friend rice and chowmein. I got mostly fried rice and the smallest little portion of chowmein. I have never seen that at a Panda Express. Then I ordered the honey walnut shrimp and literally got 4 shrimps. RIDICULOUS as they charge extra for it. My friends plate however was beautiful and full. I am furious. I get with Covid precautions now have to be taken. I can wait outside with everyone else, no problem. However, waiting outside you can't really watch them make your dinner. My problem is after ordering on site and paying for it I had Panda Express completely skip 1 dinner out of four (yes I should have checked my bag, but there was a ton of people waiting.) Then, when I called them on the phone about it I was told to come back "and they will make it" - that just isn't good enough. There was no apology offered on the phone until at the end I said I was really angry. My son returned for me (because this was supposed to be my birthday dinner) and they made him wait for the meal until everyone else who was there ahead of him received their orders first. Hey - when you FORGET a meal you don't make that customer (who already had to drive back) wait any longer than necessary! I gave them the order number! I told them what was missing! Came here on a Friday night and it was insane. Line stretched all the way to the other end near the restrooms. Having said that, i was expecting grumpy and tired employees, but they totally surprised me because they were energetic and polite. I feel like I have written tons of reviews for this place because of the survey they have on the back of their receipts. I will fill out the survey just to get my free side. I literally get a free side each time I go. I like that they ask if you would like a sample every time I come to this location. I rarely ask for one unless they have something new. The only thing I don't like about this place is the serving size is different based on who serves your food. Sometimes I get a lot of food and sometimes I get less. Still, it's a nice serving size. I love the fortune cookies I get each time as well. My daughter loves this place, so we will be back again and again! Minus one star for always running out of food and having to wait. read more
