Restaurant canceled my order without explanation and said "we didn't do it," when clearly Ubereats FAQ states that only the delivery partner or the restaurant can cancel an order, and it was a pickup order so it can't be the delivery partner. Unwelcome surprises. I go to Panda Express because I like their tasty Chinese-ish dishes. I'm not expecting Peking duck or beef chow fun. I'm expecting their Beijing beef, their walnut shrimp and their chicken teriyaki. At fast food places, surprises are not good. They usually mean disappointment--they didn't deliver what I came for. That's certainly true of recent experiences at this Panda. Often, the dish I'm hoping for was either out or not ready. Last night, for example, I checked the website and saw that they were going to be open until 9:30, but at 6:50 a sign on the door said they were closing at 7:00. That was a surprise. And at 6:50, the top of the dinner shift, they were out of almost everything, including the chow mein and fried rice. Disappointing. I realize times are tough, Panda, but please figure out how to get your customers what they come in through the door for. The star is for the pleasant personnel, good location, and convenient parking. read more

I am vegan. When I asked about vegan options, all they had was the last, dried up serving of vegetables, and a spring roll. It was not good. When we got back to our hotel, I ate the rice and threw the rest away. I will never try Panda Express again. read more

This is a typical Panda Express. It's nice to have many options for parking and it's easy to find. Staff are nice and gave good sized portions. My container was definitely full. Orange chicken (4/5): a classic solid choice Chow mein (4/5): tasted hot and delicious Egg roll (3.5/5): it had good flavor but a bit on the colder side On the down side, the table we sat at had food all over it so I had to wipe it down and it'd be nice to be reminded at the register that you have to ask for chopsticks. But overall I was happy with my food. read more

Food and food service were good, no problems there at all. Checkout was ridiculous - My bill came to $21.20. I had collected a stack of singles in my wallet, so gave Yocelyn 12 ones and a 20 = $32, so I would get a $10 and coins in change. She totally couldn't figure out how to do this and insisted she couldn't make change. I asked if she had 5's and 10's in her drawer, to which she answered yes, and explained I just wanted a $10 bill. She became belligerent and quite rude. She finally gave me a $5 and 5 ones and said that was the best she could do. I insisted she give me another $5 and finally she relented. Truthfully, I'm not certain if Yocelyn didn't understand basic math, or just didn't want to be helpful with a simple request. In either case, it left a bad taste in my mouth! read more

Horrible customer service. Ordered through Uber Eats, and the driver was awesome. However, Panda forgot to include my drink and main meal. They were hardly paying attention to the customers and were very unprofessional and slow. I wish to give five stars, but your FRIED RICE and SHRIMP are not good.Bad quality rice and it was undercooked. The shrimp had no taste at all.Please invest into a better quality rice. The reason I'm writing this review is to list all of the things I had to go back to the counter to ask for, and since there is only one register person I had to wait for the current customer to finish ordering each time to ask for these items. 1. Chopstix. This is a bad start. 2. A spoon. For my 3 year old to eat rice; they had five bins of forks. Which makes the assumption that the everything on the menu can be eaten with a fork, but what about the sauce at the bottom of the bowl/plate? 3. Soy Sauce. OK, now this is just ridiculous. There is no soy sauce on the table or by the condiments....wait a minute.... 4. Hot mustard! 5. Chili sauce! 6. There is no condiment station at Panda Express! That is the most important and fun part of eating Asian food, how is this left out?!? I clearly had a pile of spring and egg rolls on my tray that looked like a clear-cut forest, so how would I not need (read like Trump) "many, many delicious sauces "? Why would you not make those sauces readily available, OR EVEN TELL ME YOU HAVE THEM. All this makes me wonder, what else are you hiking Panda Express? You got some duck sauce hiding under that counter? You got plum sauce up in this piece or maybe some green dragon sauce I don't even know about? How many introverted or lazy customers suffer through a dry, crackling egg roll and come to Detest the Express? In some boardroom in Rosemead, CA, a bunch of eggheads looked at charts and expense reports and saw that big money was going to non-menu items like sauces and cutlery. "People are taking more than they need, or even taking them home!" they snarfle and grunt at each other, neglecting to realize that BRANDED packages of corporate-logoed sauce and chopstix voluntarily brought into a customer's kitchen is beyond the wish of the most devious marketing genius. If this chain ever goes under, it will be because they denied the consumer the staple of Asian, and for that matter, fast food cuisine: The condiments. And you know what? I DID take my Panda Express extra soy sauce, hot mustard (good), and Chili Sauce (i.e. Sirachaesque, very good), and I just used all three on my leftover homemade tofu stirfry and just seeing the packets made me think about the Express and write this review. 7. Another fortune cookie. We were clearly a family of four and given three, my children noticed it before me and were already preparing tears. Special mention to: 8. Steamed white and brown rice. When you enter, you can't see the sign on the wall showing your side options, and they immediately ask you what you want and all you can see is the Chow mien and fried rice. I bet they don't sell much white or brown rice because there is no sign and you have to ask for it. Rice. 9. Regular iced tea. Both the regular iced tea and the Mango iced tea were both just Mango iced tea. I had to apologize to my wife after I accused her of getting me Mango instead of regular, and found out that she had indeed tried to get me regular. You lose a big ol' star for that. 10. Sweet and sour sauce, which is not available as a packet condiment for in-store customers because they offer you a freshly scooped bowl full of the stuff right before the register. Can it be so much cheaper than the other ones? I'm sure this is related to Big Sugar, but aren't they all just sugar? What's with being such a monosaucery? The Bejing beef and chow mein were pretty good, much of the rest so-so, but you already know this as its as basic as Chinese gets. Not bad, not good, but pretty fresh and corporate standards are good protections against food poisoning. But where be that sauce, son? read more

I used to like more this location (by De Vargas Center) with the previous staff, they were super friendly. Most of them are OK but Yoselin is very serious and barely smiles. Today they got my ordered wrong and her attitude made me feel it was my fault. I felt uncomfortable and I will probably avoid this location in the future. Otherwise I really like the food and the service overall. I wish they could be a drive through in Santa Ge just like there is one in Albuquerque. read more

The restaurant talks about "precautionary measures" in August 2020, but I was there today to purchase lunch and I was pretty shocked at what I witnessed. Employees inside the restaurant doing the classic half-mask trick, where the nose is exposed and the mouth is covered. Not only that, but one male employee was carrying on conversations with other employees with his mask completely off, dropped below his chin, while he took multiple cup-fills of drink from the drink machine--putting the cup to his mouth, then going back for a refill and having the cup touch the dispenser for more drink--and then going behind the counter and picking up food (I think it was egg rolls) and eating them without his mask on, while carrying on a regular conversation with others like he is standing in the middle of the crowded hallway between classes at a high school, talking loud so the others can hear him. Absolutely no sense of safety for customers or for other employees. As for customers, this time I noticed a number of them standing outside either without their masks covering their faces, or doing the mouth-only/nose-not-covered trick, which renders the mask useless. This Panda Express has been great so far during this pandemic. Clearly management had instilled a good amount of discipline and care amongst the employees to take the pandemic seriously. But as of today, Panda Express has begun to lose its way, and behave like other businesses in Santa Fe, and that is a real shame. Management, if you are reading this: you need to do something. You cannot have your employees slack off and get lazy and not be safe either for their colleagues, or for us customers. PLEASE take the pandemic seriously. read more

Total disappointment. Placed online order that gave me a pickup time 60 minutes later. Arrived to pickup and had to wait an additional 30 minutes. 1.5 hours wait time is not acceptable. Not to mention I had to place two separate online orders because apparently they have a limit of only one family meal per order. Why? It's the same amount of food in one order or two separate. Every time we give either of the Santa Fe locations another chance they mess up some how. read more

Well, Panda Express is not as bad as the worst Chinese fast food places one finds (often in shopping mall food courts or near university campuses), but it is cheap, highly Americanized "pseudo-Chinese" fast food.. They might qualify for 1.5 stars because at least the Panda Express restaurants, including this one the couple times I foolishly ventured in, are relatively clean normally compared to the worst places.. But really, the theme of this chain is take some sort of animal flesh, batter it in huge amounts of sugar , deep fry it, throw some sort of non-fresh vegetable and some fried rice in a bowl with it, and Americans will want to eat it very often.... How many Chinese people do you see wanting to eat this stuff?? Walk a block down the street and you can have much, much better food at Chopstix, which is also a Chinese fast food place, but 100 times better.. read more

First I was charged for an item I did not receive or order. The clerk asked me if I wanted my money back. What did she think I was going to do? Donate it to her? It was a to go order but there were no utensils and the fried rice was under cooked and crunchy, I had to throw it out. When I asked for sauce for my egg rolls the clerk looked at me like I was asking for her first child. They were rushing everyone and their orders it was no surprise it was wrong. read more

The Asian lady here doesn't speak English real well or understand it. While she's smiley, she's rude and abrupt. And the Hispanic chic that waited on us-rude! The food here isn't good either. The Panda Express on Cerrillos by Albertsons is way better food and much friendlier staff. We won't be back to this Panda. Yuk! read more

I have eaten here dozens of times and have certainly had much better experiences than most reviewers here! This is the only "fast food" I eat - actually better than most higher end Chinese restaurants in Santa Fe. I love that I can get a quick healthy meal here - usually brown rice, steamed veggies and Teriyaki chicken - always fresh and tasty. Staff is mostly friendly and professional. I've even seen a couple of high end local chefs grabbing a meal here - that's a good sign! read more

I went to the Panda Express Sunday night at the De Vargas Mall, in Santa Fe New Mexico, it was terrible.The orange chicken was mostly all fat, couldn't taste the chicken. Most of the orange chicken was little tiny pieces, no chunks. wasn't enjoyable at all. Didn't like the small portions. for what I was paying. One dinner had the chow mein, the other had the fried rice. the chow mein was all right and tasty, had celery I think an onions and soy sauce ect. The fried rice had no taste what so ever. very bland, very little peas and carrots, need to put more peas carrots and egg also, don't be so stingy, cost next to nothing to put them in . Also the rice is so cheap they don't need to be so stingy, like ten cent's a person. And the chow mein and fried rice was a small scoop. For what I was paying I expected more. Now I am not saying they should of been huge portions or anything like that, but they should of put a fair portion for what I was paying. Won't go back to Panda Express at De Vargas Mall. It was my fault, because when she was making the dinners, I saw her putting the food on my plate, should have told her the scoop's were very small, to put a little more in, but didn't have the nerve to speak up.
