So I'm staying here in Santa Fe for a bit. Loved the culture. Tons of Hispanic type and variation of that type of food. But after a couple days I wanted something different to cleanse my pallet. Hence on my quest to look for maybe some Asian food. And I stumbled across this little hole in the wall place. Hidden inside one of these historic Adobe style buildings that look like a miniature mall on the 2nd floor May not look like much but I saw the chefs hand making the dumplings. Fresh and not frozen. My wife's a fan of dumplings everywhere we travel for this was nice for her to get to try everything. Well almost everything. We spent over $140 just to sample alot of different ones My personal favorite are dumplings that have a soup inside of them so it it's nice and juicy when you bite into them. But at the end of the day. Next time I pass thru here. For sure this will be either my first stop. Or at least stop here before leaving

I order beef noodle soup, it's good- not very flavorful or hearty. I wish it had more vegetables! Service is good, ambience is clean.

We found this place inside one of the malls. The staff were nice and gave us a number for our table. You could choose from tables inside the restaurant or in the walk way of the mall. We ordered the pan fried shrimp dumplings and they came out quickly. They were stuffed with minced shrimp, green onion, and spices. They were so flavorful and delicious! This was a great spot for a lite appetizer and perfect for us. The mall was bright and had air conditioning.

My group all left happy and satisfied after finding this dumpling place. I have been craving soup dumplings and bao but wasn't sure where to go in town. The beef bao was delicious and hit the spot. You get four and they can really fill you up. The soup dumplings were okay, I thought the dough was kinda chewy and it wasn't very warm. Normally, when you get soup dumplings they are steaming hot and you have to carefully bite a small hole to let some of the steam out. So I was disappointed they were only warm. My husband really liked the curry chicken soup, he got the spiciest version and still didn't think it was that spicy. They have different levels you can choose from so just know yourself and your spice level! (His is quite high) You do have to pay for water bottles so if you can bring your own water. I want to go again to try the vegetable bao. :)

It's mainly for dimsum but the cup is really cute and the drink is not too sweet so 5* for that :)

Not a fine 5 star looking, but the best ever fresh just made dumplings ever, Sweet to see Grandma and Grandpa rolling dough and hand making the dumplings right in front of us. We got in late but they were still friendly and efficient at a reasonable price. very comfortable environment to sit and dine on some great food! And add Boba tea

As someone from Shandong China, the home of dumplings and buns, I can guarantee that this place is as authentic and as fresh as it can get! You can see the chef hand making the food inside the store. We highly recommend the beef soup noodles and pan fried pork buns, and you must dip it in their brown sauce (soy sauce + vinegar mix).

Wow just wow! This tucked away eatery is so worth the frustration of parking at the plaza. Everything is hand-made and simply delicious! We had the money cucumbers, scallion pancakes, shrimp shu mai, soup dumplings, pork pan fried dumplings and thai tea. Every bite had such a depth of flavor, it was obvious how much love went into their food. Service was friendly and fast. We left full bellied and satisfied with thoughts of how soon we could return.

We were in the Santa Fe and Albuquerque area for 8 days, and got plenty of Tex-mex food, so much so that I needed a break for Asian food. Hole in the wall restaurant at the end of a shopping mall, farthest from the end next to the Plaza in Santa Fe. Place clean and attractive with the usual pictures and décor from the homeland. Bathrooms downstairs and require a code to enter. Tables in the middle of a food court shared by others. Lack of service in that the tables were full of crumbs from previous occupants. Had to order at the counter fast food style, but they expect the full 20% tip Wife found the Dan Dan noodles too salty, so we switched plates. I loved the flavor and texture of the bits of pork in the soup, although noodles were in short supply. Noodles, bok choy, green onions mixed with bits of pork and peanuts went well together. Not too fond of the beef noodle soup. Came with lots of noodles, green onions in a beef broth with perhaps a dozen chunks of beef. The beef chunks were too large for my delicate teeth to chew. Didn't want a repeat of having a crown on a root canal tooth breaking off, as the cost of a tooth implant replacement would have exceeded the entire cost of this week trip -airline fares, hotel fees, car rental, and restaurant costs. I had to tear apart the chunks by hand into smaller pieces. Wife took over and slurped everything in the bowl down to the last drop. And no, I didn't wash my hands prior to eating here.

So happy that Keshi (the best shop to pick up a Zuni fetish) recommended this perfect little Chinese eatery. I ordered the beef noodle soup - authentically tasty and so reasonably priced plus gluten free!!! I will definitely be back. Service was friendly and prompt. Also, it was a big portion so I got a to go container and it was delicious cold. :)

That was a a long drive for me and the unfortunate part. The fortunate part, this place was uber-fantabulous. OMG, the food was awesome. Let me get into why the experience was so great. The thing that grabs your attention when you walk in to the restaurant, is the mechanical bowl of noodle soup that has plastic noodles attached to a chopstick that moves up and down. Cool, right? I was greeted by the friendly staff and immediately taken to a table. Menu in hand, and a glass of water, I perused the menu. Man, there were so many yummy things to choose from. I decided on an order of shrimp, eggs ,and chives steamed dumplings for an appetizer and Singapore House fried rice noodle. I love Chinese chives so the dumplings were so yummy. They were steamed to perfection and so, so addicting. The Singapore noodles were wok-fired with chicken, shrimp, calamari, mushrooms, beef, eggs, and cucumbers. Wow, this dish attacked my taste buds with so much deliciousness. The staff were awesome, prices were reasonable, and most importantly, the food was spectacular. You have to get the dumplings. If my travels bring me back to the Santa Fe area, you know that I will come back to this restaurant.

I went again today for a late lunch and enjoyed some aspects of the meal. For one, it was just me and two other tables who closed out right when I was walking in. I was quickly sat, and proceeded to have pretty slow service to start. Once a server finally came back around 5 minutes later, he brought some delicious spicy/sweet peanuts to start. Returned less than a minute later to take my order, then proceeded to have great service afterward.. let me start with the spicy baby cucumbers: pretty tasty and a large serving, however I didn't think they were that spicy. The chile oil used is mostly oily with some not so spicy Chiles used (that could just be my heat tolerance) but nonetheless, they were delicious. The hot tea was fresh and he brought it out with water, which I appreciated.. I was however slightly disappointed in the Dan Dan Noodles, I didn't take a picture just because it honestly was served not too appetizing or picture perfect like most of the previous reviews. Everything was mixed together, and the meat was all in the bottom under all of the noodles. The flavor was pretty good, but I didn't get the normal Szechuan flavor or spiciness that I've had in the past at other places. I do love the fresh noodles, but the overall dish was a little underwhelming. I would have liked it to be a little more presentable, along with more of a noteworthy flavor other than meaty broth with some chile oil (again more on the oily side not so much spice). Overall, the experience was decent and good service. I will come back to try something else and maybe it just wasn't a dish for me.

This was the spot I found myself in about midway through my trip to Sante Fe, and happen to find this Asian spot pretty close to my hotel. The Yelp reviews checked out, and some of the photos really were enticing so I decided to give it a go on a chilly night. It's a simple but well appointed place, just outside the main downtown area, and really close to the main rail station.. just a block or two over. Walking in your are confronted with delicious smells and savory aromas, always a good sign. I took a seat and was helped promptly. I had seen glowing reviews about their hot and sour sweet potato rice noodle soups, and decided to get one with beef. I also can't help but get some dumpling, and went with the spicy shrimp ones. My soup came out first, and was in a nice large bowl filled up with hot soup. My first sip was so incredible, I could not wait to plow through the bowl, and I did just that. Spicy, sour, hearty, tender beef and noodles, lots of well cooked veggies... it all came together beautifully. This was the perfect dish with it being cold out. Shortly after, my dumplings arrived, and they were the perfect compliment to the soup. I even put a couple in there to soak up that hot and sour flavor, and that was just delightful. On their own, they were plenty good. I have no complaints about either item. This was the perfect change-up meal from all the New Mexican cuisine I had been having. My wife ordered the fried pork dumplings, which took an inexplicably long time to come out of the kitchen. The server apologized, but didn't explain the delay. However, they were large, perfectly fried, and very filling. She loved them, and luckily we were not in a hurry that day. We didn't order drinks other than water, but they have a decent selection of bottled sodas, beers, and mineral water on display, and they offer Thai tea, ginger tea, and iced teas as well. Everything was very good and Michelin grade in our opinion. Lastly we ended the evening and split the tiramasu type of desert. You can get them steamed, boiled, or fried, and you can get them in a hot soup made of an indescribably delicious broth with succulent vegetables. They also offer the dumplings in a "rainbow" assortment, with the wraps' hues produced only by natural vegetable colorings. No food dyes or anything synthetic. Each color shows what is inside, such as green for vegetarian, and there's an option for lamb or pork/shrimp filling, known as "Signature." We were a party of four on a birthday dinner outing. We had the large rainbow and everything was amazing. We also had the chicken dumplings with hot soup, and an order of the Korean BBQ short ribs. The ribs are marinated for a couple of days before searing them and presenting them with a mound of rice with black sesame seeds and a sample of the really wonderful homemade kimchi. The Angus beef makes the just-right doneness both crisp and tender. You should be aware that this is a small, family-run restaurant. Each dish is prepared and served separately, to assure freshly-made savor, I assume. So the ribs I ordered came out several minutes before the dumplings, and the dumplings in soup arrived a few minutes after that. We had no problem with that sequence, but others may. They also had an issue with the machine that makes all the "fancy" non-alcoholic drinks, so the choices were limited to canned or bottled sodas/teas in a cooler, and iced or hot coffee, or water from a dispenser near the register. But we were just fine with our selections. As we were leaving, the chef found out we were doing a birthday dinner and insisted on making something special. She came out several minutes later with a box of piping-hot sesame-coated desserts: little spheres with a slightly sweet red bean paste inside the shell. So nice. Takeout is big there, and they have amazing other dishes we didn't sample, so we'll be back, for sure.
