11/30/22 4:30pm. Horrible drive thru experience had to repeat the order parts of my order five separate occasions. Not because of deficiencies in equipment but inattentiveness from the employee. When my obvious frustration boiled over in to my responses, nothing rude just my tone of voice the employee noticeably changed their attitude towards me. When we got our food there was a vain attempt at an apology, I say this because when we got back to the house and opened the food you could see how they really felt. Minimal rice/noodles and what could be mistaken for 1 entree on a 2 entree plate. Panda Express must be on hard times skimping on food and quality of service. read more

Truth be told, this place is a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. I would never recommend this to anyone--even to my worst enemies. To begin with, the employees who took our orders (2 guys and a girl) all have an attitude. We couldn't tell if we came to a restaurant or a jail. They were repeatedly screaming at us as they asked us individually of our entrées (like those harrowing scenes from World's Worst Prisons), giving you that menacing and humiliating feeling that you were being badgered and rushed (instead of being served and welcomed) even when there weren't any other customers next to us. Their portions are so little that we literally have to firmly point that out to them and to which they rudely and begrudgingly responded. Could you imagine that?There weren't that much to choose from as there were many empty trays on display and food drops could be seen around those stainless food stations and even behind the corners and glass panels. Taste wise? I'll give it a resounding F! The meat were chewy, the chowmein was ultra bland, the shrimp was overcooked and rubbery, and one of the sauces looked like they poured a whole gallon of vinegar into it because it was super sour!!! But guess what? Four customers came in--maybe 20 minutes later--who were obviously familiar to one of the crews as they greeted each other on first name basis and they were served with a heaping portion of everything! Omg the chick name Meame or something of that sort was not very clear with her words or could u understand her and her explanation was all wack!! I asked her about the combos and she didn't make any sense. The person who handed me the food Hispanic girl was nice and very helpful good attitude! Now the food must've been sitting for a while because everyone was sick the same note and following day!! All had stomach aches and cramps. I ordered 6 combos of the #3 which comes with 3 different types of meats.. So... the Beijing beef was hard and not chewy at all tasted as if it was old meat!! Yuk The chicken from sweet Chile cracker was same thing hard and rubbery ! Yuk So I tossed them after a few bites ... unfortunately this panda was horrible... they need to keep their meats fresh!! I have a a friend that stopped by and we decided to get a bite to eat. We went to Panda Express in Walnut. As we decided to go order at the drive thru we noticed the prices had gone up considerably. That was ok and understood, not just them but, everyone has gone up. We ordered and no wait, what so ever. Very nice! Then we got home 4 minutes later and we opened the lids and what? 1/2 of the order wasn't there! The plate order had shrunk by 1/2! I had 4 pieces of the Orange Chicken, 3 pieces of Beijing beef with 9 pieces of red bell peppers. Won't even talk about the chow mien. The order was quick but, the rest was a big fail. The taste had changed to bland and was $26 for 2 of us to eat 2 half orders. I've always gone around to support local restaurants in my area. This review is for Veronica! I had a couple of concerns, so I called the restaurant and she definitely made everything better. I told her what happened with my previous order, and she just made everything perfect, and apologized for the employees mistake that had helped me prior to me speaking to Veronica. I placed an order through GrubHub, because I have a newborn and it's really hard for me to go anywhere right now because of Covid. I spoke to Veronica, and she made my food fresh, make sure my order was 100% correct and the food is so damn amazing. I'm really big on customer service, because I used to be a manager at a restaurant and Veronica, you nailed it! If you are not a manager already, you definitely need to be one. Terrible service . I've gone to this location since it opened and I won't be back. Last time I was there they asked me to wait out front. They neglected to say they already had 6 cars waiting in the front and never stated the waiting time. Worst Panda Express I've ever been to. Wish I could give it 0 stars. I came at 9:15 pm after a long work shift and was told all they had left was fried rice and shrimp. No noodles or no other entrees. I told them I was confused because don't they close at 10 pm? They then said well we can make another entree for you if you want but the wait will be 20 mins. I agreed to wait for orange chicken however when I went home, all I got was orange chicken. No shrimp. This place sucks! Small measly portions. Ordered "beef and broccoli" but the beef part is laughable. All broccoli and maybe 4-5 tiny pieces of beef. Where's the beef?! They also got my order wrong which I didn't figure out till I got home. Guess it's really hard scooping tiny portions of food all day to get 2/2 orders correct. After I called in the lady on the phone was super slow mentally and I had to repeat the order # multiple times. I asked if I could just give her my email or phone # and she replies with, I have to find the order first. Then proceeds to ask me for my cell phone # which I literally had to scream into the phone because she says she couldn't hear me. That took several attempts to give her my #. She finally finds the order and apologized and tells me to just call in next time I want to pick it up. I told her I'd come back and pick it up now. I am volunteering to leave this review for my mom. She came to this PE last week. From my personal experience and what was observed in the customers before her, they definitely were prejudiced against her. My mom said her 2-item box was filled "flat" meaning not the usual filled box. She is elderly and petite but doesn't mean she can't save some for later. She paid the same price and got less than 2/3 of another customer's portion. Treat your customers fairly regardless of age, sex, race is the minimum any business needs to do. I gave Panda Express another chance as they enticed me with a $20 online family deal to help me survive the apocalypse of 2020. It is a great deal if their website doesn't crash like it did a couple days ago...or maybe they sold enough $20 meals so you stopped accepting orders after 2 PM? 2 large sides (rice or chowmein), and 3 large entrees is what this deal consisted of. The chowmein I ordered was good after I added Sriracha sauce to it. Yes, it is plain limp noodles with cabbage seasoned with soy sauce. The entrees I ordered included broccoli beef, mushroom chicken and Beijing beef. You did well with the broccoli beef and mushroom chicken. Good job. The Beijing beef? It was not the same Beijing beef that I ate 6 years ago. This was more like orange chicken made with beef. My daughter who loves orange chicken hated the Beijing beef. I agree that it was disgusting. Yuck! Two out of three decent entrees isn't bad. As long as you choose wisely, you will be fine. For giving us a deal to help us survive the 2020 apocalypse, I am giving you 3 1/2 stars. I still have lots of leftovers and will have to eat it for leftovers the next couple of days. Hey Panda customer service, it sucks when your website goes down. I tried ordering the $20 deal on Friday but, your website was broken after 2PM. When I called the local store, they told me that corporate took away their discount button. Ordered the family meal to go, 2 sides and 3 entree's all boxed and sealed in a container so you have no way of knowing if you have the correct entree in the box. When I got home and open the box, I got something I didn't ordered although the receipt clearly state my orders. Called the location with their mistake and the girl from restaurant said they will replace it with small order. I was surprised to get a sample size (not small or family size) replacement, not the same size I originally ordered. Very disappointed in how they compensate the customers for their own mistake. If you are not willing to take the chance for incorrect order, open the box at the location to double check or risk getting different entree at home. Ended up cancelling my order after the food being packed. My 2 kids wanted their free meals that they earned from their school awards. I showed the 2 award cards to the server. When it was time to ring up the orders, the cashier said that you can only use one per transaction and tore one card in half. The manager then stated that you can only use one school award per day per their management team. I clarified that I wanted to make 2 separate transactions, 1 free kids meal with an adult meal, and the 2nd so that my daughter can get her award meal. I left the store and got them In-n-Out across the street. I called the customer service and verified with Rep. Alexandria. Corporate stated you can use 1 school award card per separate transactions in the same day. Corporate stated they will notify the Walnut store to confirm the procedure. Gina taped my sons award card for a free kids meal that the cashier tore. Hopefully they will accept it on our future visit and will adjust my 1 star rating. read more

The cashier at the drive thru was friendly and my order was hot. I tried the shiswan chicken they keep advertising and orange chicken . Orange was pretty good and sticky like I prefer not liquidy. The shiswan had a crispy crust and I liked but didn't love it. It was just ok not too hot that may good or bad lol. The prices keep going up the plate was 8.10 plus tax dang I remember it being way cheaper in the 90s helll even the mid 00's. I ordered food here through the drive-thru on November 8th around 8:30 pm. By the time I got home and opened my plate I was disappointed in what I had received. I ordered double orange chicken with fried rice and the portions to what I got made me feel like I was scammed. (Originally I wanted mushroom chicken and orange chicken, but the workers said they were out of the mushroom chicken). Anyways, when Ive been to panda in the past I've always known it for having decent portions. This was not the case with my order as the entrees were barely filled up with tiny pieces. Not to mention the fried rice I received was rice with 90% carrots, 5 peas, 1 piece of onion, and a scrap of egg. Since then I contacted customer support about the and they said they would issue me a refund but, I mentioned that I had entered the receipt number in the inquiry and had lost the receipt since then. They offered me a code instead, and I agreed. Its been over 12 days since then and I have not received a code and support had stopped replying to me. I opened another inquiry about this 3 days ago with an image of my bank statement showing that I had ate there and no response either. After this experience, I don't recommend eating at Panda. Awful awful experience. Went drive-thru around 8:45pm some few months ago: the broccoli beef seemed like it was scraped from bottom of a burnt pan. *Warning stay away from this circus location. When they tell you in the drive-thru they don't have your order ready that means they don't want to affect their percentage completion numbers. TORI drive thru employee with the face piercing placed order, took payment and made me wait 18 minutes outside for them not having rice ready. This is a rice place and that should always be ready unless they don't know how to manage a fast past food environment. After waiting 18 minutes, drive home 10 minutes just to find out food was missing. Called back and TORI had to spend another 10 minutes reviewing cameras to ensure you're not stiffing them with a part of the plate. She was very unpleasant to work with, in-professional, condescending and clueless of what she was doing. After all of her camera verification finally accepted their mistake and with an attitude taking down information since it inconvenienced her and that crew. Corporate, hopefully you read this, and make better decisions when appointing leaders in your establishment, specifically this one. There wasn't a line when I came at 4PM so that's a plus! The staff is very friendly and efficient. I have to say this was the best chow mein I've had at a Panda Express. I spent my college years eating Panda Express. After graduating, I still spent most of my lunch and dinner eating Panda Express. I think the 3 stars is misleading and undeserving. read more
