But it was packed, I mean packed. Lots of people here to get their special too. The guy in the girl that we're working at the front kept their cool and kept the lines moving. For over an hour and a half it was just full of bodies in here. They never stressed, they never got irritated, they just kept the lines moving. They did a great job. As typical, the food was delicious. I am a chicken Katsu and my wife got her BBQ chicken. Was looking forward to some Hawaiian BBQ. Stopped by this location as I used to live in the area and would visit this location often. I walked in and I was not welcomed by the employee but instead was asked cash or card. I replied card, and I was instructed to use the kiosk. I repeated the instruction "use the kiosk" and she confirmed, "yes, use the kiosk." I wished her a nice day and walked out. When did it become a chore to take a customers order. It's not as if the kiosk as replaced employees. There had plenty behind the counter. I was disappointed when one of the workers told me that they can't do all macaroni as a side. It was odd because either they changed their policy, or they don't communicate very well with each other. Been going here numerously with times I was satisfied and other times I was unsatisfied with their service. They have been granting my request to order all macaroni as a side. During my last visit, they told me that I can't do that. So I definitely complained about it because it doesn't seem like they are on the same page with each other. Aside from that, can't say it was truly a disappointment. My food had a good amount of the meat I ordered along with the sides having a good portion. Overall, I can't say they did a bad job. Poor management of our catering order. My mother planned this catering 2 days in advance. Asked the worker taking the order, whether she should call the day of, and was told no, everything is in order. Catering Package for 95-100 ($1,069.99): The package included 100 pieces of crab rangoon, four trays of rice, two trays of salad (mac salad and/or mix salad), and four selections of meat. We opted for two trays of BBQ chicken, one tray of chicken katsu, and one tray of BBQ beef. The order also came with a few containers of sauces (bbq and katsu). Initially we weren't sure if that would be enough to fill our guests so we opted to buy a few additional food items (from other restaurants) but at the end of the party, we realized it would have been enough food. The Hawaiian BBQ Beef was okay, but not bad for the small extra cost. The Lunch Plates come with a bed of rice and macaroni salad, while the Aloha Plates come with a bed of rice and a side of fresh mix salad with house dressing. Lunch Plates - Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Aloha Plates (2 entrees) - Hawaiian BBQ Chicken & Hawaiian BBQ Beef (extra $0.50) They have sauces on the side, and one of the sauces is even warm when one pumps it out. My friend picked up lunch from here for an outdoor picnic and she got me a plate with Katsu chicken and Hawaiian BBQ chicken over veggies instead of rice, and mac salad. You can't go wrong with the chicken katsu, which was crispy on the outside and tender/ juicy on the inside. The veggies/ lettuce was bland though and somewhat wilted. As for the bbq chicken, it was just okay, and a little too tough for my preferences. They did give me plenty of chicken though, as well two heaping scoops of mac salad. The mac salad was good, and probably the best part of the meal. I'm normally not a fan of mac salad (I prefer mac & cheese) as the few other times I tried it it always tasted too sweet for me. We were in Hacienda Hts and we decided to get takeout from Ono's. This location is on Colima & East of Azusa. Unbeknownst to me, there are 60 locations in CA & AZ. I ordered the Seafood Mix (crispy shrimp, white fish & bbq chicken). They offer plate lunches for about $10 here, so the sides are two scoops rice & mac salad. First of all, the seafood was nothing special. It tasted like it was frozen. Secondarily, the chicken was bland and the teriyaki sauce was too sweet for my palate. Lastly, the mac salad was unmemorable. Despite all the mediocrity, the portion was large for the price. My cuz picked up the food, but she didn't say anything negative about the service. IMHO this is a mainland chain picking up on Hawaiian staples, and doing an average job at it. I would not go out of my way to come here. read more

Even the poster is till on the store's window but she just ignored it and told me we ran out of $10 credit card at store. Not even mention to offer a rain check or something but ignored me as a long time customer at RH. I told her it's a misleading sales as retail.
