Came here today to enjoy a nice calm morning with my friends. Unfortunately left super unhappy with the location. My friend got the wrong drink and when she came to ask the server with pink nails he said "yeah you got the right drink" then proceeded to come with the right drink minutes later. After this i had to wait for my drink and it took 30 minutes. I finished my breakfast with no beverage and he came and finally gave me my drink when we were getting ready to leave. I decided to get a small snack and ordered a chocolate chip muffie with the chocolate croissant and then they told me they didn't have it and replaced it with a muffin. Mind you the croissant is 6$ and the muffie is 2$ meaning i lost money. I am extremely unhappy with the costumer service and will never come back here. read more

I came here on May 1st 2025, I ordered a pick two a Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt and a Mediterranean Grain Salad, it was alright and I saw something green in the feta cheese so I thought it was part of the salad, 3 hours later I had an upset stomach and I was vomiting and had diarrhea for 30 minutes and kept throwing up frequently every 2-5 minutes. That was the worst day of my life and that has never happened to me before. I was unable to call because I got too weak so I called the next day which was on May 2nd, so I can ask about the food and a gentlemen answered the phone call and told him the story and said he'll let his General Manger know what happened and will give me a call back. Now, May 12th 2025 not a single call back or an email from that Panera, I will not come back here again and the health and food inspector should definitely come here to take a look at this location. read more

This is in a shopping center here off South Gate drive. Here we are for our daily coffee fix, my husband's that is. It's consistent and decent. The staff here are all friendly, greeted us upon entry. It's not a reflection on this store, but rather Panera as a whole. When I first started coming to Panera YEARS ago, the portions were bigger, the prices reasonable and the rewards program amazing. I would come about once a week. Now, I rarely come....the price is like going to a sit down restaurant....and the rewards.....here is a perfect example for why 1 star.....I got my last star to earn my reward when I just now ordered our lunch......It's a free bagel or $2 off a Mac n cheese or sandwich, not great....HOWEVER, it EXPIRES TODAY! Curbside pickup was really easy and my salad was fresh. I can't give five stars because they incorrectly left off my salad dressing and instead gave me flatware when I'd ticked the box on my order to say no flatware (and I absolutely wanted salad dressing). This use to be a great location for this chain but unfortunately it has gone steadily down hill. The last 4 or 5 times I have been there, they have been out of multiple items we wanted on the menu, such as the teriyaki chicken and the autumn squash soup. They usually have only the white bread available as a bread option (and are frequently out if the baguettes as a side choice). They wrap up the pastries early in the evening so that buying dessert is not an option. Tables are often dirty. It can be hard to find a table because many people loiter there. If you are allergic to smoke be warned- smokers often loiter in front of the front door. Prices have gone up but quality and customer service has gone down. It is a convenient location and I like the items in the menu when they are actually in stock but I've really given up on this restaurant. read more

Best experience, I have ever had at Panera Bread!! I dropped in for the "Bag of Chocolate Chunk Cookies" and they didn't have any, so I purchased 2 of the large cookies, knowing people would have to share because no one would eat a whole cookie on their own. After I purchased the cookies, the kind lady at the register ended up giving me a 3rd cookie for free...now more people would be able to share the goodness of these delicious cookies!! ATTENTION VA DEPT OF HEALTH: This is one of the worst locations in VA (Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA). The customer service is horrible! You'll be waiting a while to get your order. But most of all this location is apparently infested with rodents!! On my last (and FINAL!) visit, while waiting for my carry out order...a rodent actually ran from under the counter where the food is prepared, across the floor! Folks just screamed! I was so disgusted that I immediately asked to see the manager to get a refund. This place is kind of overcrowded, I went for lunch on a Saturday and it was still tough to get a table. The food is the usual Panera fare and the Onion Soup Bread Bowl for around $6 isn't a bad deal. The soup has some cheese and crutons on top and it's not bad for a chain. The soup and breadbowl is a lot of food but be careful when they ask you what you want for your side or they'll default to giving you a side of bread with your breadbowl. Maybe if you're carb-loading for a marathon but otherwise that's a LOT of bread. Nothing amazing but I'd come back here for a solid lunch option. read more

This is, aesthetically, one of the nicer Paneras I have visited in recent memory, although I frequent much less now than in my "younger" days. I was with my son at Target next door and noticed this location and thought that we should stop in since it was nearly 1pm and I knew he would get hungry before we got home since the drive was over 30 minutes. Upon walking in, I noticed the touchscreens on which to order, which I really liked because then I wasn't holding anyone up while I browsed. I ordered myself a "you pick 2" with 1/2 of a chipotle avocado chicken melt and a cup of chicken noodle soup. I chose a kids grilled cheese for my son and strawberry yogurt as the side. I ordered a fountain soda as well. What I found strange was the coffee cups and soda cups were right next to the touchscreens. Maybe it's just me but I wonder how many people have taken the cups and gotten drinks without paying. Anyways, I took a buzzer so the food was delivered to my table which was especially convenient with having a child who cries every time I get up to get something. Everything was A-ok. The grilled cheese was fairly standard as was the soup, although the portion was small (on the soup). The half melt was surprisingly delicious. I'd definitely order it again. I wish I had known the yogurt was in a tube since my son cannot feed himself it yet; perhaps I would have chosen a different side. Soooooo I usually have pictures to post, bbbbbbuuuutttt I don't so. I can only speak on experience here. Let's get started! Since Panera's Unlimited Sip Club promotion, I have been a somewhat frequent customer. Today, I decided to dine in and do some work by myself and ordered my usual (bowl of broccoli and cheddar soup, half a chicken caesar salad, and a strawberry banana smoothie). Pretend like I put pictures at the bottom of this post. As this is my second consecutive day ordering Panera, I have run into an older black gentleman each time. He wears a hat and maybe with a black shirt. I have not been close enough to read his name tag, but he provides exceptional customer service as he has brought my food out to my car and stood at my car until I told him that I either had or did not have everything in the bag that I ordered, checked on me when I was putting my dirty dishes away, and greeted me very politely. I have seen him interact with other customers like this as well. It is always great to receive such great customer service and I hope that each time I visit this location, he is working. read more

I am very disappointed in the service at this location. I ordered 3 sandwiches, 1 soup, and 2 salads for Rapid Pickup via the app. One of the sandwiches was missing from the order, and unfortunately I did not realize that until after I left the store. When I realized the sandwich was missing, I called the store and pushed "5" to be connected to the manager. The line rang for 2 minutes without an answer. (For the record, I called the store at 8:45pm, well outside of their peace service hours.) I called again and was finally connected to a manager after another long wait. I explained that my order was missing an item. The manager did not apologize or offer any sort of refund or credit for my order. He tersely asked if I wanted the item made again (although I don't consider this asking for the item AGAIN since I never received it in the first place). When I arrived to pick up the missing item, customer service was piss poor. The manager did not apologize, and I had to wait several minutes for the sandwich even though I was assured that it would be ready by the time I returned. I love Panera, but this store will never get another penny of my money. There is no excuse to leave items out of an order when the restaurant is practically empty or to not apologize when a mistake is made. read more

I've been to this Panera a few times, and each time I have been blown away with their great customer service. They have employees on the floor to make sure you get the correct order, and although it gets pretty busy, I never feel that I am waiting too long for my order. Paneras around here aren't good at all like most high traffic areas. I DID have a issue with my sandwich, took it back and the guy gave me a refund & told me next sandwich would be compt'd. But, there is one thing that is questionable; Earlier today around the evening rush, Id say about 7 pm me and my wife went by to order food, We ordered the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich with avocado it was all good until about 15 minutes later when me and my wife started getting stomach problems, I brushed it off until about 30 minutes ago. My wife and me now have stomach problems and I believe we got food poisoning from the food, Shes puked and is now burning up and feeling as if she needs to puke again and I feel the same way. Less then competent. Every person I came into contact with was less then the standard. We walked into Panera, and greeting is was a pretty long line. One cashier, other employees walking around and one on his cell phone. ok. I get it. I'll wait, no big deal. So get to the cash register and order a Carmel latte, espresso machine is broke. ok. I'll get over it. so I order just a coffee, and what do you know, they are out of coffee ! For my bagel I don't get a knife or the peanut butter I was charged .80¢ for, (pb is $3.99 / jar at the store btw haha) For a place that serves a large breakfast crowd not to mention dinner and lunch they have no coffee. Alright so I sit and wait for them to make a new pot of coffee. When it finally comes, about 10 min later ....it's all dark roast. I'm sorry but I just paid $20 to get my own coffee( that i didn't want) pick up my own breakfast from the counter, and then throw away my own dishes. HELLO PANERA! GET YOUR SERVICE UP TO PAR. I don't like giving bad reviews and I generally feel Panera has good food...that's not my beef. It's this location and their complete lack of attention to detail. I generally use Rapid Pick up, or now Curbside and I'm not exaggerating that my orders are wrong 75% of the time. Today at curbside, they were missing 2 sandwiches- I told them, she gave me the missing bag, apologized and went back in...of course the bag only had one item...so I had to go in and explain that it was still wrong. They made my 3rd, which was also wrong (didn't discover until I got home)...at this point I didn't care. Now during COVID staffing and my general congenial attitude towards food workers, I blow off most small issues. However, given that mistakes are so common at this location (read the other reviews), I've had it. Oh, if you order unsweetened Ice Tea, which I do with every order, you will get sweetened 100% of the time (for curbside where they fill your cup).
