I've had Panera many times, but this was the first time I've been inside one and the first time to get food at this location. I was amazed at how big it was inside, how comfortable and homey it felt too! There were so many different places to sit - even one by the fireplace. Everyone inside seemed to be happy to be there and it was amazingly clean. The selection of food was a lot more then I expected - typically I get to look at a reduced menu at work when we order for lunch I guess. And the speed - FAST doesn't say enough! Before my wife and I could get our drinks - our order was ready! TASTE - well - I mixed all the unsweetened tea flavors they had so some of the superb flavor came from my genius. However, I cannot take credit for the cookies - they did that all on their own and both the peanut butter and the chocolate chip we tasted were superb. As for the salad and the turkey in it - this too was good! The lack of the last star was because of the chocolate swirl cake we decided to get for home - it looked great - they said it was great, but it really wasn't 5 star great! read more

They closed at 9pm. We got there at 7:30pm. All the lights outside were off. They were out all the baguettes to go with the soup. They offered us a slice of sandwich bread instead. I opted to buy a Asiago bagel as that was all they had out. They were actively and quickly packing all of the bakery up and putting it away so there were no other options. They had cut back on the menu so the caprese sandwich was no longer available which cut back on the vegetarian options. They told me caprese is seasonal and they haven't had it in a long time. I told them it is not seasonal and had been eating it for years year round, in fact I just bought it at that location 3 months earlier. They then informed us that all orders were in to go bags because they don't do dishes that late. After I ordered I stood by the pick area for 15 minutes while watching all the kitchen staff joke around about toc toc videos they like to watch. Two employees came and got in front of me to lean over the counter and chat. Then the two employees started playing patty cake. Yep patty cake in the dining room. Finally someone asked what I was looking for. I said my food. They asked my name and then told me they were waiting on the bagels. Then asked if I had the bagels. Then realized they forgot to go get the bagels. Soup was still hot luckily. We sat down to eat. The dining room was a mess. The employees continued to joke around and play. We left at 8:15. The whole front was at this point completely put away and closed. read more

They switched their mango smoothie from stonyfield to Greek yogurt, and it wasn't as good. Then switched to smaller and smaller sizes for the same price. Now they are serving them in mall Pepsi cups w paper straws that are too small to suck up the thicker smoothie. Their quality keeps taking a nose dive so instead of buying a smoothie a day I won't ever buy one again. Foods generally good but they need to bring back their original smoothies read more

Poor attention to detail on our orders and gave me a latte in a Pepsi cup. No spoon with soup. Left out a baguette and the extra baguette on our order. Staff needs to pay better attention before finishing orders. read more

Since this is another Panera, I'll give it a review! I really like Panera. I usually order the You Pick 2 and get the broccoli cheddar soup. The french onion isn't bad, the chicken noodle- yuck, and the chicken with wild rice is pretty good too. Those are the only soups I've tried, since I'm a creature of habit when it comes to chains. Broccoli cheddar soup was great today. I have a really good question though: Why do places charge you like $3 more for freaking avocado on anything?? Don't they realize that avocados are like $1 a piece at some stores, and at that CHEAPER than those tomatoes I didn't get an extra charge for (aside from Horton's and Mighty that charge 25 cents for tomato)?? Super annoying. Today I ordered the Turkey Avocado BLT. It's considered a Super Premium Deluxe Signature sandwich (or whatever the classifications are) because it has about a tablespoon of avocado on it. Ummm... Didn't love it. The sourdough bread had a chewy crust that was hard to bite into = MESS. The turkey was falling out of the bread, too many tomatoes for a half sammie, and a HUGE piece of wet bitter lettuce as well. UGH, WET LETTUCE. Way to soggify my sammich Panera. I usually get the Sierra Turkey sandwich and not only is my combo like $2 cheaper, but I like that sandwich. If you don't mind mild onion breath for the rest of the day of course. As usual I added a warm chocolate chip cookie and an acai berry iced tea to the mix. MMMMM! One issue with this location is that the parking lot can be a nightmare. The parking lot of this entire shopping complex, Consumer Square, is a nightmare, so of course Panera's share of the lot is no exception. read more

Why is it so busy during lunch and dinner time?? It gets crazy packed. Not so great if you're looking for a good place to study. If you come between lunch and dinner, it's a lot better. Best parts are free wi-fi and lots of self-seating. In terms of food, I usually go for the half sandwich-half soup/salad combos, but it's always so hard to pick. It's usually around $8-10, and comes with a side (apple, chips, or bread). They also have a large selection of bagels and pastries. If you need coffee, they have free refills! This is the Cadillac Panera. Self service kiosks, order from table, and food delivery to table makes it feel less like a fast food place than it really is. I could easily sit here for hours working and snacking . The food is consistently good for what it is, everything is cleaned up (eg no stacked up plates) and condiments etc are always well stocked. read more

Love the Panera concept. Love the self-serve kiosk-style ordering. And the food is fresh and flavorful. What I don't like is the ever-shrinking portion size. The value has diminished to where it is no longer a destination for me. If I'm near a Panera I may or may not stop in...otherwise I'll go pretty much anywhere else. I went in at 4:30 thinking I would quickly stop in and pick up a cup of soup. Unfortunately for me I walked in to one register open waiting on a extremely indecisive group. It was annoying to watch 3 workers "check" orders (?) and other workers walking by as the line began to grow. I ordered the Soba noodles with chicken. At first bite, I thought "Wow, its weird. I would never order this again." But as I kept eating it, it got better. I still would not order it again though. It was just a healthy alternative to eating takeout during finals week, so I gave it a shot. I eat very fatty, so it didn't fit my palette. Welcome to Panera, where they still haven't come out of the 1900's. Most places now serve breakfast all day long, not Panara. I already think the food costs a little more than it should, but to also look someone in the eyes at 11am and tell them the main menu in their face is no longer valid...this ain't the 90's anymore Panara serve your menu all hours. My wife and I walked in for 2 teas and 2 breakfast sandwiches at 11am. When we ordered they informed us that they haven't yet come into the 21st century so it was impossible to give to us what was given to the customer 8 transactions ahead of us. Well, thanks but no thanks, we took our $15 and got the same order elsewhere for $10. Problem solved. Customer lost. read more

We get a breakfast sandwich every Saturday. We used to bring the grandkids in once and a while and the manager noticed it had been a while since we brought them so he sent us home with free pastries for them!!!! So sweet and such a personal experience for a bigger chain restaurant. I would think most people using Yelp know what Panera Bread is and what it has to offer. Typical Cafe food: soup, sandwiches, salads, desserts. I am posting on this specific Niagara Falls Boulevard location because of the service was absolutely outstanding. Mara, who took our order, was one of the most polite, thorough, friendly, and engaging people I have ever encountered in this role. Beyond that, the Niagara Falls Boulevard location allows customers to take their pagers to their tables, and the food is brought out by a server when it is ready. I am not sure if this is something only a few locations are trying out, but it definitely enhanced the experience. One thing I used to dislike about Panera was getting buzzed and having to go up to get my meal, and juggling a plastic tray, containing soup among other items, through a sea of sitting customers. It was always this massive sigh of relief when I got to the table without tripping or spilling something on someone. Don't worry. That never happened. But the fear was real. Panera is fresh and tasty with lots of choices, but I do think it is a little bit pricey. The pleasantness of the individual who took our order combined with the table delivery will keep me coming back to this Panera. read more

For the first time I want to Panera bakery on Delaware and Sheridan to try it. Never ever again, here's how it went I ordered a half a steak and cheese sandwich which is all about four inches long that's okay with a piece of meat and a piece of cheese this was supposed to be the panini all bread I thought the price was a little much for a half a sandwich with no meat. Then I ordered a salad to go with it when I picked up the salad I asked for a ranch or peppercorn dressing they told me know that you get the dressing that they have with their salads and that's it. Okay I have my own dressing at home I can handle it. I also ordered a cup but their broccoli cheddar soup which was good but when you put it in a bag. He threw a hunk of bread on top of it not wrapped just threw it in the bag. You don't know how sorry I was I stopped there. I the total of my bill was over $16. For a dry terrible sandwich sandwich. A cup of soup and a small salad. After that $16 I could have went someplace else and had a nice dinner and probably would have got a beverage with it. This Panera is horrible. It isn't clean, service is slow and they are inconsistent with their meals. I order off the "hidden menu" the chicken hummus bowl. It is different every time. Sometimes it's small , sometimes it is more than enough I have had frozen chicken, icy tomatoes, globs of humus or teaspoons of humus. They drive me crazy. I'm new to PANERA bread. My friend took me once and i fell in love with it, so I told my BF and brother how good it was and to try the broccoli and cheese with the bread. Well I didn't know exactly how to order properly and the cashier with the name tag Matt was kinda rude and not helpful. I thought maybe he had a rough day. Well I came again today with my friend and again (ordering for the 3rd time ever) he cashed me out and was still rude and not helpful what so ever, it was really an uncomfortable feeling actually. I'm giving it 3 stars because the other workers are really nice, and the Cafe is really neat,had plenty of seats, and kept clean. I probably won't be coming back to this location because of how poor the customer service is read more

I have visited several of the locations in Western NY and have had a couple of issues that I have reported. I met THE BEST manager yesterday at the Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst location! Of course I didn't get his name! I asked why the watermelon salad wasn't back. He was hysterical. He threw something into the garbage and told the kitchen staff I needed a watermelon salad immediately! Made everyone laugh. He then seriously talked to me about it. I told him it was my FAVORITE salad anywhere and why was it not back! He apologized (even tho it's clearly not his fault). AWESOME personality. I sat and was able to see him interact with at least 3 customers during my lunch. I waited until after and approached him. He said "no you can't have the watermelon salad even if you wait!" I told him I thought he was terrific! One of the best managers I've seen at any Panera! You need more managers like him! I was there yesterday, July 10th around 12:30-1:00. EXCELLENT! Deserves a raise or should be doing training of other managers!!!!! read more

I couldn't find the place where i ate so instead i'm writing it under Panera Bread. It was bad there were too many olives and i wasnt a fan.

This one's long because it sucked. So if you like reading yelp reviews here we go. It was December 2nd, approximately 7:30pm when I had the an awful dining experience. Of course I'd give this location zero stars if I could. I took the time to make a yelp account and leave this review just because it was so bad. So, my girlfriend and I ordered 4 small things, baguette sides, a couple pastries, and two drinks. We ordered our food for pick-up. We get there and I go to grab the food and cups and there's only one cup. No big deal, asked someone for the other drink because we got two. One employee then helped me out but didn't know what the drink was and asked a girl behind the counter, she didn't either and yelled to someone in the back who finally knew what drink I was talking about. All good it's just a cup. Foolishly I didn't check to make sure everything was correct in the bag, the ordered seemed standard. I was juggling two full drinks and a large bag under my arm so I wasn't thinking too much about the contents, because they should be right anyway. So we drive home and open up the food and I'm missing a sandwich. My girlfriend's half salad is also approximately 5 pieces of arugula and there was no dressing. Now I'm okay with a messed up order it happens, annoying but whatever I'll just eat what I have and probably not go back to that location. BUT, my girlfriend was not and insisted we drive back and get our order fixed because this has happened to her more than once now. So we drive 10 minutes back to get fixed up. I'm a little embarrassed cause I don't like to complain. Having worked in retail and the food industry when I was young I understand mistakes happen. So she goes in and comes back out a little later with what's supposed to be the good order. I did a pick two with one BBQ flatbread and one half sandwich, which is the one missing. Instead of the new half sandwich they gave her 2 bbq flatbreads? What even is that? Now I'm mad because one mess of is excusable but back to back after someone complains and you screw up the order worse. To top it off my girlfriend said the female behind the counter was dismissive about the whole thing. Annoyed to go back in again and have them fix the order again, we gave up and headed home with 3 bbq flats and no sandwich. Safe to say we'll never be back. read more
