This is not a soup that is carried daily however I showed up to this location 30 mins before they were closing and I ordered their 2/2 combo (I think ). The cashier, Nikki, was totally helpful and great customer service at its finest . I placed my order and went to the back to get my beverage which was so refreshing . I was then told, the chicken and rice soup has been put due to closing but yet I had 30 mins left . Nikki took initiative and unpacked the soup and fixed my bowl. I ordered a Frontega sandwich and a medium tea and my total was more than it should be. The kid taking orders in the drive-thru apparently thought I said Italiano and that's what he charged me for. My Spicy Take burger was presented to me on untoasted white bread (sandwich bread). When I inquired about the difference in the menu picture on their website, the cooks and manager stated "oh that's because the brioche buns are in the freezer", and continued to do other work. They did not offer to toast the bread they haphazardly placed on my plate. I have stopped here multiple occasions often to get the wrong stuff at the drive thru. I have been patient till now. This tuna sandwich was the last straw. I can't believe any employee would look at this tiny sandwich and think it was fit to serve. Bread is rock hard. There is barely any tuna inside. Since the bread is so hard and can't absorb the tuna it squeezes out the little that's no matter how you punch the bread and bite into it. Not great when you are eating in the car. So Panera has raised ALL their prices at their stores and evidently cut their quality and portions to the bare minimum. And I constantly get served terrible lukewarm coffee everywhere I go. It's gross. Since Panera is no longer a good value by any standard I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Unfortunately. I suggest you pass this Panera up and keep going. Horrible experience! Went through the drive through and after waiting at least 12 minutes to receive our food; the entire order was wrong. Not only to mention that the manager; Cindy, was the woman taking the order who had a horrible attitude. I went inside to get the order corrected and was approached by Cindy claiming that since she is the "Manager" she would never not repeat an order back to a costumer before placing it. She stated that everything that we had ordered was correct since she had placed/packaged the order. Also, let me mention that another woman who works there felt the need to make rude side eye facial expressions to me the entirety of the conversation. Very much got a "gang" up on the costumer feeling. The conversation progressed to become very disrespectful on her part. Thus, prompting myself explain how this could have been resolved much easier and quicker if she had better costumer services skills. Especially since, THE ORDER WAS WRONG AND NOT PACKAGED PROPERLY. She then stated AGAIN, how she was the manager and she has all the PROPER costumer services skills etc. Eventually, the order was finally corrected. However, I have an ultimate fear that someone spit in our food so I will not be eating any of it. In closing, everyone has bad days but, do not take your bad days out on your PAYING costumers, especially if you are in the costumer services industry. Worst Panera ever. In the event someone cares or reads these - I spoke to the manager about the chicken in my chicken Asian crunch salad it was so dry it was almost powder. I ordered a half roasted turkey with avocado sandwich, received the deli turkey sandwich. The manager offered to "make the order over again for me at no charge to pick up any time..." This Panera was great when they first opened, but, since COVID-19 began, quality has diminished! On my visit on 27August2020, my salads were wilted and my whole apple was served sliced which turned brown in minutes. I had never received a sliced apple at any Panera before this visit. My last visit was 11October2020. My salad was not wilted, but food quality is lacking. Salads should be crisp, soups piping hot, and bread should be flakey on the outside and soft and delicious inside. I agree with other reviewers that the employees talk too much and do not work enough. I used to work in food service and I did not stop moving (cleaning, food prep, customer service) until I clocked out. My mom and I are only a little sorry that we will no longer patronize Panera in Baytown, Texas. The Panera employees will be most sorry. read more

I am a vip sip club member. I come all the time to get breakfast and my free drink. Today I went through the drive through (like I've done many of times) and asked for my mobile order and was told that I had to walk inside for it. I was feeling sick so did not want to possibly get others sick. This is my second visit while there is not a huge flow of customers coming in. I ordered a drink but they somehow forgot about me after 5 min of waiting... I went up to the counter to ask about it, and about 3 min later someone came. The team member that brought my drink to my table said "I'm sorry about that," but it's a subpar service recovery... which needs work. My first visit was last week on a Thursday; i ordered a strawberry poppy with grilled chicken, sliced apples, and a drink. I came around 3pm while the dinner folks didnt arrive until about 4:30pm. It got packed quick. My experience on my first visit was average. The salad was delicious but left me wanting - it seemed meager for the price of about $12 - needs at least 4 oz more of salad and strawberries. The apples appeared a bit "mealy" eg: mushy, bruised. Next time I won't ask for sliced apples. The fountain drink was free refills so that was worth it, I guess. Once the families came for dinner time, it was hard for the folks to find seating (lots of groups came from some sort of event). I was lucky I had a little place where I could do my reading/studying. As for the knowledge of the staff: this was the most annoying - the manager ought to train the staff on their products. When someone asks for a recommendation, they should be EAGER to help and not say "Oh I don't know... they're all good..." with a lackadaisical attitude and not giving eye contact. I've also tested this on a simple question: what's a good espresso drink you recommend that's iced? I had the same response from a different team member who was working the kiosk. Nevertheless, the drink was a very good Frozen Caramel - blended well so I wasn't drinking chunks of ice. I've been to Panera in NJ and New York City --- it's much much much busier than the one I visited in Baytown. I even remember when Panera had the Honeydew Green Tea drinks, which were awesome. The portions were very good in the East Coast that I usually ended up saving my salad for when I got home, especially when I did a You-Pick-Two or had a half soup/salad with bread on the side. Customer service is the key to having folks come back AND knowledge of your goods. I probably won't come here for a while until the staff are more experienced. I'll do an addendum in the future. This place is best for [small] families and for those who could care less of the novice team members and those working the food prep at the back - and I'm not being condescending - the manager needs to train their team with what Panera is about. It's supposed to be cozy and warm and inviting.. right now, it could use some work. Oh yeah, their Internet speed is about 1.6 Mbps down and 0.68 Mbps upload speed using speedtest. I averaged both during their peak and trough hours. Not worth it for doing work or even reading. Again, I am very familiar of Panera restaurants... this one is a bit of a downer and could use a lot of help. read more

First of all let me start by saying I've had a good experience with the people inside the restaurant at the counter in the past, but this review is for the people at the drive thru I experienced today (I won't generalize that all are like this, I know there are different people working different shifts so I hope they're more professional than my experience today). So I wanted to get a chicken tortilla soup and asked if I could have it without spinach, the girl on the speaker/intercom asked me to wait while she checked ( Keep in mind I've ordered the soup without spinach before from this same location, and they had gladly given me the soup without it) so the girl comes back on the speaker and says that "no" "they cant do that". I find this strange... How hard is it to not place a couple of spinach leaves in a bowl of soup?? So I keep asking questions then second "woman" gets on the speaker to talk to me and sounds annoyed that I'm asking questions. Finally I realize the "second woman" on the speaker didn't want to help me so I figured to place the order for the soup anyway and just leave because I was too hungry already. When I stopped at the drive thru window I pay with one girl. Then the second "woman" from the intercom/speaker (she had a very recognizable voice) shows up with my food and with the same voice of being annoyed with me. She rudely hands me my food saying "here you go!" giving me an ugly look and then rushed to close the drive thru window right away! She didn't even give me a chance to say anything, as "bye?" "Thanks?"... Really?! (No it wasn't a busy customer hour either where the place is packed with people and they gotta rush). It really saddens me to see a place as recognizable as Panera hiring people who present an image of being annoyed at customers! Just for the record, I'm attaching a picture of the soup which could not, for any reason on this occasion, by no means, be served "without spinach"... And you can see the leaves on the soup. Seriously if I was able to pick it out with a fork you can avoid putting in there like they've done in previous orders before. But unfortunately now by the time I took it out the flavor of the leaves had already sucked in the hot broth.... It's not about "spinach in a soup" or "mayo on a sandwich" it's about showing professionalism towards customers and being polite. However today was the total opposite. She ordered a bagel, cut in half with cream cheese. No cream cheese and the bagel wasn't cut. This review is not for the delivery drivers -they are always super sweet and awesome!!!! However, for the third time we have ordered from them the order has been incorrect. Previously they have left off avocado (that costs extra by the way), incorrect bread selection, stale bread, and pathetically skimp toppings... but today takes the cake. One sandwich was supposed to come with fresh mozzerella (extra charge) and extra fresh mozz on the side... the "side" of mozz was about 1inch long, and the sandwich had regular sliced mozzarella. The other sandwich, which I'm guessing no one has received training on how to make, was missing fresh basil (listed and pictured in description) and was very dry. If chipotle mayo was present, could have fooled me! So we called to let them know The orders were incorrect. I was placed on hold for five minutes, so I hung up and called back. The girl who answered the phone, seemed to take personal offense at our criticism of her sandwich making skills. She insisted that she put mozzarella on the sandwich, which yes, she did, but the incorrect kind... and had nothing to say in regards to the other sandwich, simply with exasperated tone, asked if we want her to remake the sandwiches and send them over "if that's what (you) want..." UHHHHH. YES? We would like the sandwiches we ordered and paid $20+ for, yes we would. Sigh. When they brought our replacement sandwiches, the mozzarella was correct on that sandwich, no complaints... But the other sandwich, and only a half portion by the way (paid for full, but at this point, fuck it) was practically SWIMMING in chipotle mayo, in the most passive aggressive way to correct a wrong order ever, I had to eat it with a fork. And again, no fresh basil, but a cup of basil pesto which is not what is supposed to be on the sandwich, but nice try I guess. The delivery girl also brought us a bunch of extra mayo packets as if the drowned a sandwich didn't have enough. The free cookie they bought was delicious. Five stars. I understand that nobody wants to work at Panera except for children, but these children need an ass whuppin'. Pathetic. If they need help on how to correctly make a sandwich this badly, they could probably just ask the person who ordered it. Or check the website. The pictures do a pretty good job of showing them what the fuck is supposed to be on the sandwich. Won't be patronizing this location again. read more

Panera is convenient but I have to say thats pretty much it. Their delivery service for work orders is excellent. They are always punctual and my orders are always prepared correctly. Unfortunately I am not a fan of the actual dine in restaurant. This particular location always has sticky tables and the workers are not the friendliest. Salads are good and my favorite was the seasonal arugula salad and the squash soup. Panera is aight...I think that service can be much better. Their foods are simple and is a great place to grab a bite when your not feeling fancy. I usually don't order tuna or chicken salad from anywhere but I really like their napa chicken salad. read more

I love this panera and I love the general food at panera but this specific one was not so enjoyable I went yesterday and I have noticed that the staff does not smile at all unless they are off shift and I have gone maybe once twice a week for a year and 2 employees were talking about how one was drinking before her shift and another employee never gets the food orders right and gets them to a customer at the wrong time like 40 minutes after the order. WORSE SERVICE EVER! We love Panera Bread and stopped here on our way back home. We got in at 7:10am (they open at 7am), they had NO coffee available yet and when they finally brought out the coffee, they only had dark roast ready, no other option, we don't like to drink coffee so strong. If that wasn't upsetting enough, I asked for cold milk to put on my coffee, the employee told me they had NO cold milk available, only half and half. I asked her how do you do the chocolate milk for a child? She answered (lied) with half and half. Absurd! I had to pay $2, for a kids milk and also to ask twice for extra sugars for my coffee. I've only dined at a Panera restaurant twice before and it was never my favorite salad and sandwich eatery. Cafe Express and Jason's Deli earned most of my business over the last 20 years. But in the middle of the pandemic, I longed for a salad that I could buy while still wearing my pajamas and slippers. So I visited the drive-thru and attempted to order from the menu, but they were out of most everything. They sold me the sorriest salad ever--it barely had any of the advertised ingredients and what was served was hardly edible. The young ladies operating the store were pleasant, and it was no fault of their own that their store was low on product. However, if you are going to knowingly serve sub-par menu items at full price, you risk losing business. Honestly, if there is a store that deserves to close as a result of this pandemic and economic crisis, it is definitely this one. read more

We stopped in at this location while on a cross country road trip. The service was outstanding and the staff were all very nice. They did forget part of our order but took care of it so quickly and so easily that it really doesn't detract from our visit at all. The outdoor seating was nice to have as it allowed us to enjoy the weather and keep our dog with us. The food was about what you would expect and was good. Panera is a nice option to have if you would like to have healthier options while traveling than the typical fast food. Overall we would stop in at this location again if we find ourselves back this way. read more
