I have been to this Panera on several occasions; however, only recently did I return to meet up with a few friends. The center is under construction which really restricts parking, especially since LA Fitness patrons take up a lot of the parking anyway. The bathroom, just like I remember from previous visits was not clean. Other than that, this is your typical Panera with coffee that is OK and a lot of bakery items. Awesome place! This was the first time I went to Panera, and while a little hesitant with the reviews, I had a great experience. George, who was standing by the register greeted me, and asked if I knew what I wanted. I told him it was my first time here and he quickly ran me through the menu, and that their "U-pick 2" special is a great pick because you can try to varieties of their main dishes made into smaller portions. With his advice I had the Frontega chicken, and broccoli cheddar soup. The soup was hot and tasty and the panini was crispy yet had a nice soft center. I have been going to penera bread several times a week for 7 years and lately the quality has been going down along with the sanitation. Today i ordered a chocolate chip muffie and it was placed into an old dirty bag with jelly along the inside. When i got home to eat my muffie and noticed it was covered in jelly i was outraged. I am super sick and all I wanted was the low fat chicken noodle soup. My boyfriend placed an order for pick up over the phone and got a few more items as well as the soup. When he got home, the grilled cheese we ordered was literally freezing cold and the soup was not in the bag. I'm sorry but I don't think someone should have to double check the bag to make sure all of the items are inside, the customer service should make sure all items are in the bag. I've been going to this Panera since I was in high school. It's truly a staple in the West Boca community. My favorite thing about Panera Bread in general surprisingly has nothing to do with their baked good. I love their seasonal items and constantly changing menu. Also, I love their new dedication to making all of their food items "clean ingredients." This may not be for their full menu, but last time I went there quite a few of their items were clean. This means that they are striving to include ingredients devoid of any additives, chemicals, or preservatives. I recently read a report that rated restaurants "report card style" based on the quality of their meats. Restaurants that got a low score of a C-F served meats that tested high in hormones. Panera and Chipotle were the only two restaurants with an A rating. This makes me feel a bit better about eating their meat. I'm giving this Panera three stars for two main reasons: 1) they've messed up my order more than once, so their accuracy is not worthy of more than three stars. 2) a couple of times I had to remove quite a few bad lettuce pieces from my salad. Bad as in, black around the edges, or translucent--just not good. This could be just an issue with the chain itself, but I do NOT like wilted lettuce in m my salad (God that sounds bitchy doesn't it?). But hey, it's my review and I'll whine about lettuce if I want to. Favorite salads: Chinese citrus cashew chicken salad. The hoisin dressing, cabbage, pineapples, cashews, and cilantro? My kind of salad. Romaine and kale Caesar--healthy spin on a classic. Fuji apple chicken. Greek salad. Favorite sandwiches: napa almond chicken salad sandwich-- it's so simple, yet so good. The bacon turkey bravo--classic Panera favorite if you like Gouda cheese. Chipotle chicken avocado melt (new and really tasty) Favorite soups: French onion, broccoli and cheddar, and vegetarian autumn squash--a seasonal soup that's really velvety and delicious. Favorite other stuff: thai garden chicken wonton broth bowl--I don't know why I like this so much. I feel like other people might think it's a weird item to order from Panera, but I love the warm salty broth with vegetables and wontons. For breakfast: two words only. EGG SOUFFLÉS. These fucking egg soufflés are so damn good. They come baked into a buttery croissant with toppings such as spinach, cheese, bacon, sun dried tomato etc. it's honestly the best breakfast item ever. Ordered two chicken salad sandwiches last night around 9pm. Picked them up, got home. No chicken salad existed on the sandwiches. As you can see, no meat all. Hardly anything on it in general. Lettuce, tomato, feta (which I don't like), and a teeny glob of pesto which isn't even part of the chicken salad anyway. Paid good amount of money for nothing. Since we couldn't make it there in time to get (correctly) what we ordered, we sliced our own onion to give it some kind of flavor.
