Visited on 4/15/2015, about 1:10pm. Go here for baked goods only! Saw and decided to try this place because it was a short walk from where our morning errands took us and we were hungry. Delicious Pecan Braid and Bear claw. These were priced comparably to the market. Also ordered a bagel, thinking it came w/ cream cheese for $1.39. Not so. They charge an additional $1.50 for the cream cheese. This was not clear on the menu, putting me off not due to total price, but for the disingenuous listing. Overpriced drinks! Mango Smoothie seemed to be in a 10 oz cup for $4.39. I write "seemed" because the cup is the same height as 12 oz cups I've had elsewhere, but has a narrower brim, making the cup closer to a columnar shape. It holds less volume than the wider brim version. Taste: I tasted the mango, yet the drink was missing something to enhance the flavor. The LARGE Chai Iced Tea also came in this 10 oz cup, at $3.89. It held less than 10 oz, though, given that the cup was full of ice. The tea was gone in 5, maybe 6 swallows. Had I known how small these "large" sizes were, I would've gone to Jamba Juice. The total before tax for all this was $16.55. It was not a filling nor cost-satisfying "breakfast" for two people. 5 stars for the tasty baked goods, 1 star for the drinks, averaging to a 3 star rating for me. read more

Good place for lunch or dinner. A lot of comfortable seating, although it gets really busy during the business lunch hour. My favorites: asiago roast beef sandwich, portobello & mozzarella panini, baked potato soup, chicken & wild rice soup, chocolate chip cookies. I enjoy Panera Bread food. I usually order via Rapid Pickup online for my kids from the Hamilton Avenue location because it is on my way to school. A couple of my visits with this location has been very unsatisfactory. One time they did not get my order ready in time which made my kids go to school late, which defeated the whole purpose of "Rapid Pickup". Another time, they forgot items in the order (missing apple), and they seem to be incapable of paying attention to customized options on the order; they can't seem to follow simple sandwich instructions right (no tomatoes, no onions, etc). Panera is great for breakfast lunch or dinner but I really like there breakfast. I had for the first time there ciabatta breakfast sandwhich and it was probably the best breakfast sandwhich Ive ever had! The sandwhich had egg, cheese and sausage. Panera coffee is good to but not as good as starbucks. The downside to panera is that there is always a long line and the service sometimes suffers because of it. So dont go there if you are in a hurry. Besides that I love their food. read more

I ordered food for a meeting for rapid pickup. it was not ready when I arrived. I asked 3 people, each just looked at me said uhhhh and walked off. Finally I asked for a manger and the girl I asked actually found out the hold up, they had to make the yogurt. Um ok. 15 minutes past my pick up time i get my order. Only it was missing an item. I ask where is the cream cheese and I get a VERY sarcastic did you pay for it? I answer, yes I did. To which I get and even more sarcastic almost hostile are you sure it's not included. I said I know, and I paid for it. Now remember they were late giving me my order and now are making me fight to get what I paid for. So I looked at her put the bag on the counter and said refund me. I don't want any of it. Then I hear a snide remark in Spanish ( yes I know what you said) asking about the coffee in my hand- I paid separate for it while I was waiting 15 minutes. SO unacceptable. not a place I will go to again. It is sad as this could have been a monthly order for a business meeting I have monthly. Customer service matters. read more

Ordered a You Pick 2 to take home. My order was 1/2 Roasted Turkey & Avocado BLT and French Onion soup. I got home ate my soup first, (very good) and then unwrapped my sandwich. It was not what I ordered. I believe it was the sandwich the lady ahead of me ordered a Roasted Turkey Apple Cheddar with no arugula. It was okay at best and more calories than what I had ordered. When I tried to call the store to tell them what had happened I could not get a person to talk too. Very disappointing! read more

The food is decent, but there aren't enough electrical outlets... and during lunch hours they limit wi-fi use to half an hour... I understand that it's super crowded and they're trying to move people through.... but it's really not sufficient if you're trying to have a productive lunch. I went with my sister 3 weeks ago and I ordered 3 blue berry bagels, one chocolate bagel' and 1 cream cheese. The cashier told me they ran out of blue berry and asked if the orange cranberry ok. I said yes. Then I paid for my order and she gave me orange cranberry muffin instead. I told her I wanted bagels not muffins. So she said she will void the order and run it again. She redid the order again and it was still wrong so she needed to cancel it and redo it again, but it was still wrong. She put 3 cream cheese on the order( we asked for only one) I got tired of redoing the order so I just pay for it. I paid total 3 times and she said that she voided the first two orders. I asked for credit receipt so I know I didn't get charge 3 times She said no credit receipt just check your credit card with your bank. I was not happy at all and want to talk to manager. She just pointed the manager at corner and say she is there you can go talk to her. This is the worst customer service I ever experienced. WARNING: This place is going SERIOUSLY downhill. I used to love this place but will not be coming back to this one ever again, due to the TERRIBLE manager Paul who was there Saturday night on 3/12/2011. I was going to ask to speak to the manager, until I realized the person who had made all the mistakes was in fact the manager, Paul! There errors during my visit included: 1) Taking an order and charging me extra to replace the fruit cup as a side, when they didn't have fruit. 2) Buzzing me that my order was ready, when in fact it was not ready for 5 minutes after I was buzzed. 3) The baked potato soup I ordered was not good -- it was cold, unwarmed, and the potatoes were an odd, uncooked texture, so I exchanged it. 4) I was given a cup of soup, when I had paid for a bowl. 5) When I asked for the bowl, the manager Paul insisted the computer stated I had paid for only a cup. When I showed him my receipt, he said his computer had abbreviations that said I had ordered a bowl. When I showed him my receipt clearly listed a "bowl", he insisted his computer said I ordered a cup, and that his computer was hard to read. 6) I was charged a 69 cent additional charge to upgrade my side item to a fruit cup. When I got that refund, I asked for a bag of chips for my side, since I was no longer upgrading to fruit (which wasn't available). Paul claimed I would get only a 10 cent refund if I received any side, I said I thought the 69 cent was an increase from the included side to the fruit cup, but Paul insisted if I got the 69 cent refund (for the fruit that they charged me for but did not have in stock), I would receive no side at all. So I took the refund with no side. After I got my refund, Paul offered to "give" me a bag of chips, apparently out of his "generosity", and I declined, due to his claim that my meal wouldn't come with any side. In short, I think Paul was incompetent and frankly dishonest, and the potato soup was so bad it was inedible. I will not be returning, and I will no longer be meeting friends at this location, and I will suggest to my friends not to eat at this location any more. The good news: The Panera on Stevens Creek is still good, and when you're in Campbell, better options include Aqui, Sonoma Chicken House and Twist Cafe in downtown Campbell! read more

I must have bad luck at Panera because every time I go there, I have the worst customer service. I love the food at Panera but not the service. After this last time, I may not go back. It seems as though every cashier is NEW and has no idea what they are doing. I came here for lunch over the weekend with my girls. I ordered three lunches and two cookies. The cookies were never added to the order (no big deal) so I figured that I would just purchase them after we ate our lunches. When I went back to get the cookies, the same cashier rang me up and the total was around $6.53 I gave her a ten dollar bill and she gave me no change. I told her that I gave her a ten dollar bill and she said very rudely, "No, you didn't! You gave me the exact amount!" I repeated myself and she then repeated herself. It was very busy in the restaurant and I didn't want to make a scene so I just took my cookies and left. I probably should have spoken to the manager at that time but I had my kids with me and they were ready to go. I did call the manager later that day to complain about the cashier and she was very nice. read more

The food is good/ok. You must check your take out orders before you leave. Also, if you pay with a credit card, be prepared to have a $1.00 tip automatically added without your knowledge! Per the 'manager' the new company 'they' hired to process credit cards will automatically add the tip until the 'original' receipt arrives at your bank! Not good business practice. Used to work in the neighbourhood and every morning I would go there for my breakfast. As soon as you enter all the staff will greet you Good morning with a positive smile! The service is impeccable and everybody is very courteous . I went back again yesterday and the service was still way above many competitors standard. However I do have something to say to the Panera Company. It really is about time that diligent employees of yours should be allowed to receive tips from your grateful customers. Your employees make us feel like family so why can we not show a little gratitude? Starbucks, Peets, and the rest all have a tipping jar. Management though shouldn't be having a share of the tips since they are on salary. The rest of the staff are on hourly rate. By the way I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast with egg, bacon, spinach and tomato in my warm bagel plus the lovely hazelnut coffee! Brilliant start to a day! So the other day I was sick as hell and wanted some soup. I went over by Panera because they have an extensive menu of soups. I got the you pick two combo. I liked their onion soup but it had a little bit too much salt if you ask me. I also got the asiago roast beef. Over all nice flavors. The roast beef was a bit dry and over cooked. The bread was too hard and the insides of my sandwich kept falling out. The baguette that came with the meal was perfect. Crunchy outside with a nice soft center. The staff was very friendly but I got my meal to go rather than for here like I asked. Im not one of those bitchy customers who will hyperventilate over trivial stuff like that but it would have been nice to have my meal on their nice plates. My tea was very good and they had a great condiment bar. They even had soy out (extra brownie points)! They also have another condiment bar with extra mayo, mustard, random stuff, and two types of butter. Usually my experience with Panera is better than this.
