A surprisingly "home-style" turkey dinner from a place that isn't trying to be fancy Most Thanksgiving turkey plates at big chains taste like they came straight out of a banquet steam pan: dry edges, tired fibers, more volume than soul. This $16 turkey plate at Denny's wasn't that. When we ordered, the server casually mentioned: "If you're debating between the $15 and $16 options, most guests prefer the $16 one." On the menu photo, the $15 version does look noticeably paler, but we didn't order it, so I won't speculate. What I can say is that the $16 turkey we got was legitimately juicy, tender, and closer to a homemade roast than to processed "holiday tray" meat. The real test? My friend - someone who usually does not like Thanksgiving turkey - cut off a piece, chewed for a second, and said: "This is actually good." That one sentence says more than most reviews. * Turkey - moist, warm, and properly seasoned. * Stuffing - tasted like it actually saw some turkey drippings, not just dry boxed mix. * Mashed potatoes - creamy, with real bacon bits mixed in, which is well above typical diner expectations. * Gravy - classic, smooth, and does its job. The only clear weak point: cranberry sauce. It's obviously the canned style - shape and texture give it away. At this price point it's not shocking, but if they ever upgraded this one component to a simple house cranberry sauce, the whole plate would jump a tier. That said, to be fair: On the days before Thanksgiving, at a 24/7 national diner chain, for $16 total, getting a turkey dinner that tastes this decent and this comforting is already outperforming quite a few places charging a lot more for their "holiday special." This isn't a plate trying to pretend it's fine dining. It's an honest, warm, and surprisingly satisfying turkey dinner. - Dr. C Only writing for what truly earns the stars.

Half of a Cali Club Sandwich with fries
    Stacy C.

DoorDashed the Cali Club Sandwich a couple times this week for lunch. It is such a scrumptious sandwich with turkey, ham, bacon, Swiss cheese, avocado, lettuce, and tomato. The avocado is the best part; it's fresh and they give you lots of it. The fries are good, too, but if you want to make it a bit healthier you can order fruit instead. I've never been much of a Denny's fan, but ever since I tried the Cali Club Sandwich about a year ago I've been going back for it again and again. Removed one star because they forgot to include ketchup with my last order.

Their evening server Guadalupe is fantastic. They are so lucky to have her. She keeps everything running smoothly and everything so clean and organized. I'd snatch her away if I could hire her... but, alas, I'll have to settle for sitting in her section. Btw, it's all her section at night! Thank you, Guadalupe A !!

Fast, good menu, and the server was super nice even though she was slammed everyone was being so mean to her. I felt so bad. She was working so hard and the only person working. I'm definitely gonna go back just for her because she not only gave us good service but she did it with a smile on her face even though the place is super busy and it was New Year's Eve. Dennys had someone else working other than her that night. She deserves a raise.

    Burnt nacho

First time being at this location. We waited for 30 minutes for our nacho and it was not even busy. So disappointed. Burnt nacho that cost almost $18. It was the worst nacho that I ever eaten. Not enough meat and the worst part was burnt chips that tasted so bitter.

This Denny's has been a welcome addition to the area ever since the one across the street closed and this one opened. I e eaten here several times. This time I got the sirloin steak and eggs with a fruit bowl and it was prepared extremely well. They forgot my fruit but when it finally made its appearance it surpassed expectations. Birthday Breakfast Slam

I tried the Birthday Slam, which is offered for free on your birthday (with ID), but FYI it was pretty basic--no toppings/anything extra to make it special. The staff was okay, a bit impatient, but the person at the register was helpful. Service overall was just alright. It was kind of empty when I went.

Usually go when I'm faded asf like after 12. Food be smacking cuz my compás in the back be whipping it up like a 5 star meal or it's maybe just the tequila that makes it good. Service is great and for some reason it's 2016

Very nice, cute little mini Denny's. We got seated right away even though it was Saturday morning, and our Waiter was very nice. Food came out quick and was exactly as we ordered, plus they put my savory stuff on one plate and my sweet stuff on another without me asking, which made me very happy! They were also very nice to my service dog, and no one tried to distract her, which I really appreciated. Plenty of parking, but the accessible spaces are not super close to the door, your best spot if you are going to have mobility issue is to park in back as close to the Apricot Ave as you can and come around the building on that side, this will set you up with their ramp, which is a pretty good low slope, to the front door. I had the new brioche french toast, and it was really good. Partner had the chicken fried steak, he said the gravy needed more pepper, but he's not a great judge of that, so it was probably perfect for normal humans who do not come from a pepper-based atmosphere.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! I walked in on Halloween! They told me they wouldn't seat me due to there dirty dishes? I have no clue as to why it is so hard to wash some for the guests? They then forced me to order out while I'm in town visiting so that's kinda hard for me to eat out of my car. I think went and used the first bathroom I saw NO TOILET PAPER so I went to the next one again NO TOILET PAPER or even paper towels. It's Halloween not only that but a Saturday and this is absolutely the most unprofessional dennys let alone restaurant I have ever been to. Not to mention there extras rudeness and disrespect while all we did was simply ask for a table for 2. Whoever manages this place should really think about getting a new job.

It's nice in here. Small, cozy great idea after closing g the bigger one a block away. Double Burger was good.... Service man and his wife are customer service oriented. I was shocked at how nice and clean it is in here. Neighborhood breakfast spot for sure.

Sat outside (they have good seating) no wait (pleasantly busy tho, good sign ) Got the crab cake Benedict and after talking to Juan our server, I ordered the Breeze Benedict and we shared 1/2 of our orders to each other. The Tri trip in the Breeze sounded good and it was. My boyfriend liked it over the crab cake Benedict (made with imitation crab-I called around but could not find a brunch place that didn't use imitation) . Homemade hashbrowns (not frozen). Very abundant and tasty. I noticed that the decor had changed to a beige easy going feeling. But that was not as noticeable as the service. My father did the restaurant business so well and will always be my benchmark for personable. So Juan was like meeting that kind person with a wonderful attitude, who gives you his honest feelings on popular/his fav menu items. I told him my dad would have liked him. The restaurant is extremely clean and the decor gave off a really elegant boho chic vibes. All of the real plants made the space very welcoming. The service was ok. Other waiters seemed to check on their tables frequently but we seemed to have been the table that got only one check in towards the end of our dining experience. The food was also average. We got the "my way omelette" and it was good but not as big as other diners omelettes. The country potatoes were made well. The Breakfast Board was also very average. The idea of the board was great but taste-wise, it didn't taste unique in any way. I would also recommend getting it to share as a party of 4. As a party of 2, it was way too much and we didn't want to take a Togo box since it didn't taste spectacular. The drinks were the best part of our meal. The ube latte was extremely tasty and milky. The strawberry matcha tasted great! However, for the price of the drinks, I'd rather get them from a boba shop. Overall, great ideas and great vibes. However for our taste preference, we will not be back.

Dishes arrived very late; we were nearly forgotten when we tried to order, and then after ordering, we waited 40 minutes between appetizers and the main course. Not because they were cooking it; they just forgot we were there and when they brought out the dishes, the scallops were no longer just-cooked, and the burger had been sitting for a bit. No apology, just an acknowledgment it was late, and no discount (not even on the stale bread). They offered us wine, we said we didn't drink, and they just moved on. Hey there Party People…read more I've been to the Table several times since my first review for the restaurant and just felt I needed to restate the obvious....this place is great. Hubby and I wanted to have brunch The Table is the best spot. You can get bottomless Mimosas for a very reasonable price. But first and foremost the food is what you go for. Not to mention you can take a very pleasant walk along Willow street and check out the shops after a great meal. The menu really lends to sharing plates so you can really get your foody on. We had the beignets to start. Made with ricotta and lemon curd for dipping. The beignets were very moist and a little dense because of the ricotta. The sugar coating was light and the crust was perfectly crunchy. What really made the beignets sing was the lemon curd dipping sauce just added a deep layering of flavor. Then there was the Heirloom Tomato salad with artichoke hearts. It was a tasty bite. The fry on the artichoke hearts was light bringing out the artichoke flavor. The treatment of the heirloom was clean simple and the whole dish together was just wonderful. Finally we had the Chicago Roast beef sandwich. It was huge and made me glad that we were splitting the dishes. The sandwich really reminded me of the east coast because of the peppers and carrots medley that was on the sandwich, which packed a fantastic little kick to wake up the pallet. Their Au Jus dipping sauce brought the hold combination together. Per my Hubby, who is a real Roast Beef lover, the whole sandwich was next level. Rather than addressing what actually happened -- a customer being racially harassed on their premises -- management's response was to ban me, not the person who harassed me. If a business allows this kind of harassment to go unaddressed and then punishes the target of it for reacting, that's a real problem, not a minor service issue. This is the San Francisco Bay Area. We should expect better than this. Avoid this place if you don't want to find out how they'll treat you when something like this happens to you.

The pandan drink was a light and refreshing highball and I found the dill cocktail to be creamy and delicious, but didn't really leave me with a sour aftertaste. For food, we went with the drip trio platter which came with fresh pita bread pieces, and the drip trio of hummus with roe on top, chilled tzatziki, and muhammara. Then we moved on to the oysters which were fresh, will a dressing of an herb oil of some sort. They also had a complementary palette cleanser in between which was a shot of watermelon and orange juice. For maincourse, my husband went for the tagliatelle and I chose the ravioli, both choices were corroborated by our server to be the right ones to go for. The tagliatelle is expensive because of the lobster and caviar that it comes with. However, the pasta is delicious and comes in a decadent sauce. Not a lot of lobster pieces though. The ravioli had a robust mushroom flavor and came with a light sauce of mushrooms, crispy fried shallots, and pine nuts. We skipped dessert because we were pretty full already. Would definitely recommend this place for a cozy dinner out but it's quite expensive so might not be a place to go to frequently.
