This location in Chesapeake's Edinburgh neighborhood is always clean and it attracts small families couples, too! We like to order ahead on their app, so that we can enjoy our meal right away. We enjoy the Panera menu, especially the salads and You Pick Two option.

I don't usually review chain restaurants, but this brand-new Panera deserves a shoutout! Stopped by today and was immediately impressed -- the space is bright, modern, and super clean (as in, still-smells-new clean). They've clearly put effort into making this location feel inviting. Lots of natural light, comfy seating, outlets everywhere (remote workers, take note), and even a little outdoor patio area that's surprisingly peaceful for being near a main road. They've also rolled out the new Panera Tastes Good Rewards system here, which made paying super easy, and I got a free pastry for being a new member. Yes please. The kitchen sink cookie was worth every calorie. If you're in the area and looking for a cozy spot to chill, work, or grab a quick lunch that isn't fast food, this new Panera is worth checking out. Here's hoping they keep up the great service and fresh vibes!

It was so much fun attending the grand opening event today with my friends! There was a giveaway spin the wheel for door prizes as we made our way inside. Me and my friends were all within the first 100 guests so we each got year long reward certificates! The inside was clean and neat, though a lot smaller than other Panera Breads I've been to. The staff were all friendly and fun. I decided to try the Asiago Sausage Egg and Cheese bagel sandwich (10/10). It was absolutely hot and fresh, tasty, and def worth me ordering again in the future. I also had a Hot Caramel Latte (8/10) I thought I had actually ordered an Iced Caramel Latte, but actually made a mistake. The latte was still good, it really wasn't very sweet though, so if I try it again I'll def need to add some sugar. Overall a fun event, happy I got to attend it!

I ordered a Philly cheesesteak and was told upfront that it would be about a 20-minute wait on the grill, which I was completely fine with. But after 50 minutes had passed, I finally had to go up and ask about my order. When I finally got my food, it was clear things were not handled well. The fries were made immediately and left sitting in a closed Styrofoam container the entire time my sub was cooking. By the time I received them, they were a soggy, wet pile of fries with zero crisp left. As for the sub itself, it was about 90% bread and maybe 10% actual filling. It took three hard, crusty bites before I even reached any meat--and when I did, the flavor was disappointing and lackluster. Definitely not what I expected from a place known for subs. Their "Italian dressing" is really just a ton of oil with a tiny splash of vinegar. They should just call it what it is instead of something misleading. To top it off, I had to ask someone to wipe the table before sitting because it wasn't cleaned. Overall, this visit was a miss from start to finish. Long wait, soggy fries, a flavorless sub, and unclear menu descriptions. I really hope they improve consistency and quality, because my experience did not match the reputation they seem to have

A dinner at Court House Cafe in the Great Bridge section of Chesapeake is a reminder of why certain…read morelocal institutions endure. Consistency--both in the kitchen and in the dining room--has made this longtime favorite a reliable choice for those who value substance over flash. The service reflects that same steadiness. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable without being overbearing--always ready with thoughtful suggestions for anyone navigating the menu. I began with the garden salad, a straightforward but well-executed mix of fresh greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, and sweet Vidalia onions, finished with housemade croutons and a balanced balsamic vinaigrette. It's a simple dish done right, which sets the tone for what follows. The she-crab soup--an award-winning staple--delivers exactly what you hope for in a classic rendition. Rich, velvety, and deeply satisfying, it's best enjoyed in a cup unless you plan on making it the centerpiece of your meal. For the entrée, the French Dip stands out as a clear highlight. Built on a soft roll and filled with thinly sliced prime rib--slow-roasted to achieve both tenderness and depth of flavor--it's served with a properly seasoned au jus that brings the entire sandwich together. It's a dish that leans on quality ingredients and careful execution rather than unnecessary embellishment, and it succeeds because of it. Court House Café continues to earn its reputation the right way: consistent food, thoughtful service, and an atmosphere that feels rooted in the community it serves. In a dining landscape often chasing trends, this is a place that understands the value of doing the fundamentals exceptionally well--and doing them every time.

Court House Cafe's reuben is THE best reuben sandwich I've ever had. The pastrami is tender and doesn't get caught up in between your teeth like other places and just enough sauerkraut to not be overbearing. The steak fries are always hot and crisp. My only gripe is that I prefer Heinz ketchup with my fries which they do not have. The service is always top notch and the girls there are always friendly. My drink was never empty. Now, wait times may vary but it is worth the wait.

Not sure why they couldn't tell us this before the order. Anyway, no biggie. We ordered an app, mozz sticks and split the 4 cheeseburger sliders with fries. The mozz Sticks came out about 40 min later. They were so over cooked that all the cheese was completely blown out of them. We tried a few and it was nothing but bread. The waitress was nice enough to take them back and just remove them from our tab (it would be too long to wait for them again). Another 20 minutes and we received our order. The fries looked amazing!!! I was so disappointed to find out that looks can be deceiving. They had no flavor. I feel like maybe it was an oversight? I have read other reviews and others raved over them so, maybe the kitchen just forgot to season them. But they tasted like pure oil. But those burgers. Holy moly. Those burgers are were soooooo good! They don't make up for the others but I was glad not to leave there hungry. They gave us a coupon for our next time coming in. Told us not to open it and let our waitress, so they could tell us what our percentage off was. I opened it in the car bc I will not he back. It was 10% off in case others got this as well. Just a heads up
