I came here at 7am and wasn't acknowledged until I said hi to the girl working. We proceed to order our food and get coffees. There were no creamers out by the coffee and we had to let them know and wait for them. I ordered a bagel bread sliced (iykyk). At no time was I told they can't do that. And i wouldn't have ordered the bagel had they told me that when I ordered. When we go to the window to pick it up I mention my bagel isn't bread sliced. They told me they can only slice bread in their bread slicer. Which, St. Louis Bread Co. (aka Panera) started the bread sliced bagel so not only is that wrong but it's incredibly inconsistent. I've never been to one where they can't unless it's been super busy (which is totally understandable), however we were the only ones there. And we're talking across multiple locations in multiple states. Apparently this is the only one that can't (or won't?). Panera should strive for a consistent experience across their stores and this one wasn't it. Do better. read more

Panera Bread, what happened? Panera's is normally a good option for a decent lunch. But this location is pathetic. Ordered the pick two with a chicken and wild rice soup. The sandwich half was fair. But the soup was worse than canned bought at a grocery store. Too thick, tasteless, no salt. Inedible. The place itself was dirty, looks run down. Maybe I am lucky, but have gotten good service here. First, the food. You know what you are getting at PB, they all have similar menu. Today was cold, so opted for the turkey chilli with arugula on top (arugula is good on almost anything). Yummy! Pic enclosed. My other go to choice is the Thai chicken salad. Another nice thing is PB posts the calorie count on their menu. My target is 700 calories a meal, lots of choices meet that criteria at PB. Service at the counter can be slow, so here is the trick. Order at the kiosk, grab a pager, find a table, connect to their free WiFi, ... And before you know it you'll have food! Great interior with lots of seating and fireplace. Super clean. Ample parking too. Pics of interior and exterior enclosed. Servers were friendly. Manager stopped by too, to make sure everything was ok. Across from the outlet malls. The service at this Panera is a hit or miss. I've been to the drive-thru during a lunch rush and received my order in a timely manner. I've also placed an order inside when it was dead and my order took a very long time. Customer service is also a hit or miss. I've experienced great customer service, but have also encountered some not so friendly staff members. The only consistent in my visits is fortunately the food. I haven't had any issues. My orders have come out as described and tasted great! There's plenty of parking available. The space is clean, open, and naturally bright. Nice, modern interior. There's even a fireplace. Plenty of seating and great for working. There are lots of outlets to plug in your devices as well as semi-private areas to work quietly. My go-to orders are: Frontega Chicken Panini $8.59 Modern Greek with Quinoa Salad $9.99 Vanilla Cinnamon Roll $2.79 Again, I've never had any issues with the taste or quality of my food. The Frontega chicken panini comes with basil, focaccia, mozzarella, red onions, Chipotle mayonnaise, smoked pulled chicken, salt & pepper, and sliced tomatoes, served warm. Yummy! The modern Greek with quinoa salad is composed of feta, cucumber, kale, almonds, kalamata olives, Greek dressing, quinoa tomato sofrito blend, and romaine lettuce. I sometimes add grilled chicken if I am ordering a whole salad. Love the textures and flavors. The vanilla cinnamon roll is to die for! Especially when you get it first thing in the morning when it's fresh. Satisfies my sweet tooth everytime! Most of their pastries do. They seem to have a decent selection of pastries, even in the afternoon. Panera will always be one of those "safe" places for me, as far as food goes. There's something for everyone. Went here for dinner last night. Ordered my usual tuna sandwich. This was the last time I will come here. I stopped going to the cumming one because of hygiene reasons. I was waiting for my sandwich and watching them make the food. The person making the food never changed her gloves. She touched the microwave and the other appliances while touching the food she prepared. So I try the Dawsonville Panera and same thing. But recently I noticed the tuna wasn't their usual albacore. It's more mayonnaise and less chunky. It was like a table spoon of tuna and the rest was lettuce. It was mainly a salad on bread. It doesn't even taste like real tuna. This place was empty, as it usually was every time I came here. There was no place to sit because every table still had dishes on it. So I had to clean an area just so I could eat my salad sandwich. I no longer will come back here or any Panera for that matter. I will try Atlanta Bread. Maybe I will get a real tuna sandwich with tuna on it. read more

Chose this spot for lunch without checking yelp first. I have to agree with a two star rating. Panera is typically consistent in the freshness of its food. I was very disappointed in everything I ordered: tomato soup and steak sandwich. In addition, the bathroom door was sticky and the toilets are not clean. I ordered a whole Bacon Turkey Bravo Sandwich. to go through a grub hub gift card for pickup. They do not deliver to where I live. The sandwich had just two slices of turkey on each half, each slice of turkey was folded in half, and each half sandwich was basically 2 slices of really thick chewy white bread sandwich. Not stale, but chewy. So for two sandwich's, there are only four slices of turkey. BTW, the turkey itself had a kind of rubbery feel to it. So I have to ask, where is the meat? I will NEVER be going back due to the lack of meat. What is the point of buying a sandwich with no meat on it? The sandwich cost me $12.99 via grub hub for pickup, which cost more than in the price in the store. My wife and I stopped at this Panera on our way home from Blairsville, GA where the Cuban restaurant we wanted to try whole in the area was closed on Monday's. We arrived at Panera around 5:20 PM for dinner and the place was almost empty. There were two other tables occupied. Ordering was quick and our order taker was friendly but not outgoing or with much knowledge of the menu outside of what she could find on the terminal. I ordered the Steak and Arugula Whole Sandwich that was served with a pickle spear. My item was very good and the portion size was adequate at a cost of $8.99 with no sides. The food was fresh and I would order this sandwich again. On the downside, my sandwich did not have much meat. The meat was piled nicely in the middle of the bread but the meat only covered probably 50% of the bread. In the menu, this sandwich is served with the following" Grass-fed seared steak, arugula, vine-ripened tomatoes, pickled onions, garlic and herb cream cheese spread and mustard horseradish sauce. My sandwich had steak, arugula, and tomatoes on sourdough. Three was no pickled onions, garlic herb cheese spread or mustard horseradish sauce. My next complaint on this location/visit was that we waited 15 minutes for our order to be called. They provide a buzzer to alert you to pick up your order at the window and it never went off despite us being the only ones who came in or were served during our visit. After 15 minutes I walked up to the counter and found our food sitting in the window but nobody to ask if it was in fact ours. I waited and finally took the order and went to our seat. PRICE/CHARGE: This is the biggest area of concern for me. My receipt shows a total of one iced tea, on whole sandwich and one-half sandwich to be $19.37. However, upon leaving the store I checked my account and I was charged an authorization of $23.06. There is no explanation of this additional amount authorized and there was not anybody at the register or available when we left to ask. I understand automatic gratuity but if that is the case here staff member did anything to assist us during our visit to earn a tip or warrant one. I will be watching this as the charge is settled and if it is settled for the amount authorized I will be contacting the corporate offices of Panera. The receipt does not show any reference to any gratuity being automatically added so this seems to be a deceptive business practice on the outset. read more

Came in for breakfast ordered steak egg and cheese, they were out of everything bagels at 9 am, not a huge issue. But when the food came and what you see why I was dis satisfied, there is blood on the bagel. When brought to the attention of staff, management came and explained that its normal. And was reasonable rude about it. I mean the far lines are still bright white, the steak was cold to the touch. Wouldn't have even written this had it just been a food error, I know very well how accidents like that happen in a kitchen under pressure. But the rudeness of management? Mmmmm I sure do love Panera. Nothing warms my heart more than spending 15 dollars on soup and bread! With this being such a hole in the wall restaurant, I figured I'd attach some photos. I've been really into photography lately.... and since Panera does sell black coffee, I figured I'd come wearing all my new threads from urban outfitters too! As I sopped up my $7.50 bread into my $7.50 cup of soup, I couldn't help but salivate into my soup just a little. This was actually hilarious, are y'all ready for this? I'm getting prepared to go for a 5 hour drive to Savannah, GA and I get the bright idea that I should stop at Panera for a bagel and some coffee. We specifically asked for HOT lattes. We get to the window and we see they've already made 2 iced lattes and there was nobody behind us. Tried to stop them but they didn't even look over. When they finally came over with the iced lattes we said "sorry, but we asked for hot, can you please remake them?" It took at least 7 minutes and no one was ahead of us or behind us. When she finally comes over with the remade lattes, we drive off and I realize the insulated cups are ice cold. I stick my finger in the coffee and much to my dismay they were ice cold, again. Now i'm pissed. So we drive back through and talk to some other girl about them being ice cold and she goes, "oh, well, our steamer is broken." LMFAO like it's broken??? So instead of just straight up saying "sorry our steamer is broken," they give us iced lattes, and then when that was wrong they make us chilled coffees in insulated cups. It was so stupid I was actually dying laughing. Like, you guys are IDIOTS. And on top of that, the two dumb girls behind the counter were both on their phones the whole time. This is a typical Panera that is new to Dawsonville. It has a nice layout where you can sit and work or study or even catch up with some friends. The food is the same as all Panera's, but I did find on our first visit the grilled cheese was sub par. The bread was crushed till completely flat and all the cheese was out of the bread. Basically it was grilled bread with some cheese on the crust. Not worth the 12 dollar price when added with a pick 2. Becareful when you do the pick 2. The board has the price for if part of a pick 2, a half or a whole. Picking 2 can add up fast to be 10-13 dollars for a sandwich and soup or salad. The bakery items are good. My husband loves the sugar cookie and I like the chocolate chipper. If you order a meal with a drink you can get any bakery item for .99 which is the best deal they have. Sign up for the rewards club and every 12 visit or so you get a free item. read more

My mom and I were on vacation to visit the North Georgia Premium Outlets. This Panera was located about 5 minutes from our hotel. Since we have one at home, we thought it would be okay. I ordered a pumpkin muffin and a soufflé. She ordered a chipotle chicken and avocado wrap. I got my food immediately because it was kept ready. We waited 15 minutes for her wrap, and it was cold. She waited for them to make it a second time, and it still came out cold another 15 minutes later. They also made my frozen caramel coffee wrong as well. They just served it as plain coffee. The manager was rude, and she never apologized. She did not care that they served us frozen food. It just proves how "fresh" their food really is. Came in for a late lunch today on my way home. This restaurant has gotten better since my last visit. The food has always been good, price a little high, but worth it, the staff actually seems to care, but it looks like you need more people. Today, I saw the reason I come to Panera. I saw the managers taking time to sit down with their crew. No, it didn't look like anyone was in trouble. It was what looked like two managers sitting down and talking to their employees. One by one, they came out of the back, sat down and talked, looked serious, joked around, went back to work, then, the next one came out. People caring about the people that work for them. This is what makes this place special. To those managers, thank you for being the managers you are! You can tell your employees respect you. Just left Panera after giving back the worst looking food. I returned the food because it was cold and not exactly what I ordered. After the food was returned I saw that it was the same food because I took a bite out of the sandwich. They didn't even change the mistake. The worst part is the tea area. I was dispensing tea and noticed that the entire top of the container had a thick film of MOLD. I told the so called manager on duty who didn't think that it was a problem. I asked for some fresh tea and was told that they had run out of it. Anyone that drank the hibiscus tea got an extra bonus of penicillin. They got an 'A' from the board of health. Ordered a breakfast sandwich, a pecan braid and a coffee to stay. They forgot the pastry, and when I let them know they didn't offer a freebie as their policy above the pickup window states. Also, it is freezing inside the restaurant. Today is cool and misty outside, but it's warmer outside (63°) than inside. Another customer also commented on how cold it is. I asked the staff twice if they could increase the temperature inside the dining area and was told "I'll ask". The cold air continues to blow. I am wrapped in a blanket from my car and leaving now.
