After paying $12 for a simple sandwich and got 3 pieces of cold meat on a toasted bun. Nothing else. After telling the manager, they were rude and did not care to make up the error. Ordered a breakfast sandwich, a pecan braid and a coffee to stay. They forgot the pastry, and when I let them know they didn't offer a freebie as their policy above the pickup window states. Also, it is freezing inside the restaurant. Today is cool and misty outside, but it's warmer outside (63°) than inside. Another customer also commented on how cold it is. I asked the staff twice if they could increase the temperature inside the dining area and was told "I'll ask". The cold air continues to blow. I am wrapped in a blanket from my car and leaving now. We had terrible customer service when we waited at the register at 4:15pm for 10 minutes and didn't see a single employee--it was a ghost town. I made the risky move of ordering from the self-serve tablets. When my food wasn't delivered to my table, I went to the window to pick it up myself. It was then that I notified the manager of my experience, only to be told in a matter-of-fact tone that the kitchen was too busy dealing with the drive-thru to take orders from dine-in customers; no apology was offered. I have eaten at Panera Bread all over the US and normally enjoy it. When the store opened in Dawsonville, I was excited and have been to the store over 30 times but may not go any more. I stopped in for lunch today and it was the third bad visit in a row. The young female that was acting as the manager could have made a great video on how not to manage people. As I stood at the window to get my food, she fired the worker standing next to me and told her to get the "F" out of the store. She was ranting and did not care who heard her. Other workers near her were in an argument. It took three tries to get my order correct. They quit putting unsweetened Tea out for the customers several weeks ago so now you have to get it from the food pickup window. All in all, it was a total train wreck. I am going to Atlanta Bread from now on. What a shame! read more

Went to this Panera for a quick dinner. The staff was extremely fast and attentive. The soda machine was a little iffy as the Sierra Mist didn't come out tasting well but everything else was flawless. They forgot to give us our cookies and I didn't have the receipt but they said "not a problem!" And gave us two warm chocolate chip cookies that were to die for. I highly recommend this place and thought they did an amazing job. read more

Overall bad experience. The staff wasn't very friendly nor professional. They were out of bread... when does panera ever run out of bread!? They gave me an apple instead, the apple was rotten. The avocado on my salad (and my friends sandwich) wasn't cut almost at all, it wasn't ripe, and the seed lining was still in it. The table was sticky and there was trash laying on multiple tables around the restaurant. They were very slow so I saw no reason why someone couldn't go around wiping off the tables and picking up plates that had been there for what seemed to be a while. Visited this Panera with a friend after shopping at the outlet across the street. This Panera must be relatively new as I have not noticed it in the past. The interior is new with self serve kiosks and lots of tables (with charging ports) for those looking for a place to study or to have a chat with friends. Unless you are paying with cash, you can use the self order kiosks located right by the door. You choose your food items, grab your drink, pay with card, grab a buzzer, and the food is delivered to your table. Food came out pretty quickly as it was not a very busy late Saturday afternoon. My friend ordered a sandwich and drink and stated that the sandwich was great. However, throwing out trash for us was a little confusing. There were no trash cans around or by the doors. We saw other tables leave their trays and bowls, so we left ours as well, but I'm definitely not sure if we should have. I'm not sure I realized how expensive Panera is until my friend paid ~$12 for his sandwich and drink. It is your typical Panera, but $12 for food that comes from a bag is a bit overpriced. I will still come back for a Pick Two, but I could have a nice meal elsewhere for the same price. Lastly, we barely had any contact with a server or cashier as it's self serve and nobody was at the counter when we walked in. There was no greeting and I honestly wouldn't even know anyone worked there if one of them didn't bring us our food. Tables were covered with plates and drinks, but nobody cleaned up for the duration we were there. Not a big deal since there were many open tables, but just a thought. read more

Went here a few days ago with my fiancé and I will never go back to this location. We waited an hour for our food. When the food came out the mac n cheese was cold, the bread was undercooked, and they also forgot our fruit cup. Also, it was extremely dirty, crumbs all over the tables and chairs and they were out of napkins in the napkin dispenser. Very disappointed. We will never return. read more

Absolutely terrible service. The people that work there walk around like they don't know what they're doing and haven't got a clue on how to have any kind of customer service. The actual purchase experience is very disjointed.. While I was waiting for my latte to be brought out one of the cooks came out of the kitchen and asked a gentleman if he was waiting for a bagel bag. When he said he was the cook pointed towards the kitchen and said it's in there. The guy didn't know whether to walk into the kitchen to grab his order or just sit down. Me and my buddy never been here so we thought we would go, heard from a friend and he said they had good food for a relatively decent price. So we go in there and first off the menu was the most confusing thing ever. After somewhat figuring out what I wanted(with no help) I ordered my food sending up a prayer. Then my total said 17.32 for a quarter of a sandwich, a 8oz Mac and cheese, a ration of bread, and a fairly good caffeinated drink. This location is big, and they also have drive thru. The staff is very courteous, they also bring the dishes to the table and pick them up. The only problem is that is not too clean. As always the food is good, my kids love their grill cheese and I love the quinoa beets salad. Their mango and the pinnacle/carrot smoothie is delicious. We love Panera!!!! read more

Thought I was going to be more impressed because it opened only a couple years ago. I do like that it is very spacious and has a lot of pockets to hang out in. They were out of a lot of things, including almost the whole bakery :( and that's what I was looking forward to. Almost every table had crumbs or trash on it. Panera literally always forgets something or screws up an order. They have forgotten many green teas in the drive through. I always get the Mediterranean veggie and the last few times they forgot the hummus and chopped the veggies for a salad. So it's a few chopped veggies between bread. I just wish ONE time an order could be correct. I stopped contacting panera after all the mistakes because they don't ever do anything other than "well say my name at the window and we will give you a free xxxx" except, who actually remembers to do that? read more

My husband and I came here for Sunday brunch. The place was not too busy, there was one family ahead of us in line. We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches and a scone. We waited for 20 minutes and still no food. An employee approached us and asked if we received everything... although we still had the tracker on our table. We told him we had yet to get our food, so he immediately went to see what was going on. We waited about 10 more minutes for the guy to come back and tell us they ran out of the brioche bread, and asked if we would've liked some other kind. (So our food was not yet made). We finally got our food, my over easy egg that was supposed to be on my sandwich was extremely well done, it looked like plastic. Needless to say, we will most likely not be returning to this location. We have never had this bad of an experience at a Panera bread. read more

Not the usual Panera experience! The staff here particularly Denise and Ryan were fantastic! Some of the nicest people I've met in any restaurant. The food was good of course but the people made this experience fun and light hearted. I enjoyed Denise having fun with all the stuff we ordered. I was worried about there only being one cinnamon scone left, so when we got to order I demanded the last one and the fun started from there. Wish it was my Panera near my house but I go through there a lot and will stop again.! Great staff at this location. read more

Let me start by saying my trouble with this specific location has been ongoing: * Coffee station constantly out of coffee, sleeves, napkins. Every time I come here it's a good 5-15 minute wait for black coffee. * When asked about coffee sleeves, older lady with short grey hair and glasses gave us an attitude. * Served us cold food after 30 minutes. When asking the front counter about it they responded the only option is for you to microwave it (myself) or we can remake it for you (begrudgingly). * On top of that, they served me the wrong food after punching in my order incorrectly. * Then they sent ME to the window to ask them to remake it. The lady yelling out customer names said, "well we've been yelling names for 20 minutes." * Why did they give us a pager with a number on it if they weren't going to use it? After shouting a customer's name 2 or 3 times... why not walk it to them, which is what most Panera's do? * I honestly thought they were yelling at the kitchen staff because they've done it before and I wouldn't put it past them to do it again. They are not kind. * LITERALLY YELLING customer names in the most hateful way. The lady (if you can call her that) yelling and being rude was wearing a black shirt and hat, long blonde hair, tied back in a ponytail. * We've had not one, not two but FIVE other RANDOM strangers come up and complain to us (my sister-in-law and myself) about the attitude and service they've been receiving. I'm not sure of the exchange of words but a couple said the manager came up and barked at them about something. * Doesn't know a thing about customer service, supply and demand, or keeping things stocked and ready. * Always waits to brew new coffee or refill napkins, sleeves and creamer when customers tell them their out. No doubt with an attitude. Why don't they check and stay on top of it themselves. No excuses for being busy. I've been in the restaurant industry for 6 years. This place is absolutely disgraceful. And for the prices. Unless they get new staff and learn how to operate I won't be back. * My sister-in-law made a good point to say that there were many people from out of town visiting Dawsonville from Charlotte and for soccer tournaments this Panera is a "piss-poor" representation of Dawsonville. read more

Chili was good (once I received a clean spoon) but salad was only fair ( green goddess Cobb with chicken). The food is overpriced, as it always has been, and I spent almost $20 for a sandwich and a drink, The sandwich was dry, and the blood orange lemonade had begun to ferment in the dispenser (a bit carbonated and tasting of alcohol). Got a tuna fish sandwich and the bread was old or just dry and there was a conspicuous lack of tuna fish on the sandwich (about a tablespoon's worth) The manager of this place must be bad because there is no consistency at all in the quality of the food. With the onset of covid it is even worse because we tend to order out and don't feel like taking the crappy sandwich back. The quality of Panera ended up driving us to Atlanta Bread when we lived in Cumming and it appears the same thing will happen in Dawsonville. read more

This is the most inconsistent restaurant I've ever eaten at. The first couple times I went there it was great and my order was correct and now it's a 50/50 chance I'll get the right order. I order an egg white and cheese sandwich on brioche bread and a frozen caramel cold brew with no whipped cream and a shot of espresso, and I've gotten the sandwich with 5 different kind of breads than what I've asked for, sometimes they'll add bacon when I say "I just want egg and cheese" and they will either add whip cream to my drink or will not include the added shot of espresso. I've worked at Starbucks and I've worked in a drive thru and it's not that hard to get a simple order right! Really hope the staff improves. read more

I just got home from ordering a Panini and I'm in actual shock. Let me preface this with the fact that I live 1 mile away from this location. I got home and the first thing I noticed was the insides of the sandwich were not actually under the bread. It was spilled throughout the box. And no I didn't drive like a nascar driver on the way home. The bag was still the entire time. So I lift up the bread and start putting it back together and quickly notice that the PANINI is refrigerator cold. Not only that but the cheese is in a giant cold clump. Like the fresh packaged mozzarella kind you buy in a grocery store. One half of the sandwich barely had chicken and the other half was discolored and rubbery. See picture. One side has half a leaf of old lettuce or spinach stuck to the bread. The other half is similar. Also you'll see in my pics that the tomatoes on one side are the ends of a tomato. It literally looks like they grabbed old chicken from the day before, and cheese from a package in the fridge.. threw it on my sandwich and handed it to me. Or this looks like it was an old panini from yesterday that was never cooked or made right. ALSO I went to grab a napkin to wipe my hands... the napkin was already used!! I'm disgusted and have no idea how they thought this was ok to give to a customer!! read more
