It says press here, but there's nothing on the website after you order with that option and they don't pick up when you call to tell them you're there. This place is horrid! I've been working from home for over a year and we had no Panera that I could order from. Now that I'm back at work I thought I would give them a try. I ordered through Doordash, as I always do. I placed the order at 11:25 it took them over 2 hours to make a salad! Then when I called them they claimed to have NEVER gotten the order even though I had my confirmation and my card had already been charged! I finally heard from my dasher who basically told me the place was in chaos, every order was wrong or lost. He did manager to finally get my order. We were passing though on our way from the cape to Bedford and decided to bring lunch to the family. When we arrived there, I found that the the cookies I had paid for were not in the order, even though verbally verified that they had been put in. It was $77 order. I called later to get a credit for the $8.25 and was first told by the manager Sabrina Di belle, that I had to come back to the store for my refund. When I told her that I lived far away and could not do that,I was told I could not get my money back via a credit to the card I used, only a voucher. They get my order wrong every single time! I used to love panera. Then they changed the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad from Romaine Lettuce to the no good, horrible, very bad kale arugula whatever blend. Ick. So...when I order I always take away the ick blend and order it with just romaine. Except every time they screw it up. So I tell them and they re-make it or give me a free one next time. $12 for waiting twice as long as everyone else or for getting a salad that "next time" will be wrong too is too much money, too much frustration, too much time. Great place to hang out and get work done Free wifi (altho speed can be intermittent), the black cherry smoothie is awesome, and comfortable atmosphere. Very unhappy about this Panera. I ordered a bowl of ten veggie soup. It was about half full. They refused to fill it more and told me I could get a refund if I wanted. Even the manager said this. The soup was good but I felt cheated. If you sell a bowl, fill it up. Two stars for the good taste. But that's it since customer service is bad, and so is the portion size for the cost. This was dreadful. I used to live within 5 minutes of a Panera and while it is not my favorite "fast food" spot - it was always relatively quick and easy. This Panera was anything but... There was a long line so I decided to use the little kiosks. I order a cup or Chicken Noodle and half a tuna sandwich. It said to go wait by the pickup area and so I did... for 35 minutes I waited for a soup and sandwich. I saw people come and go before I even got my food. Twice they asked me if I was waiting for something and twice I was like yes, the order I placed awhile ago. Twenty minutes after I ordered they told me they had no tuna. Well, that's helpful to know now. So I changed to turkey. Five minutes from that, "we don't have honey wheat bread." At this point, had I not already paid, I would have left. I said to use whatever, I really didn't care, I just wanted my lunch. Finally, 35 minutes after I ordered, I got my meal with no apology or kindness and proceeded to go to my car. I had a few minutes, so I tried to eat some of my sandwich and surprise, surprise, they got that wrong too. I have been to a few Panera's and they are pretty much all the same. Same menu of creative sandwiches and soups and baked good. A little overboard at times and somewhat pricey. This location sits in a shopping center in Framingham near Target and is probably one of the busiest locations I have ever seen. It is set up really strange and the seating is sparse and the counter help is a little disorganized. The worst thing about the place and most Paneras is that there is no sequence of a line or waiting area. It is a big mess of people crowding the register at the bakery thinking this is where they place the order. On the one occasion I was there, it was so crowded, no one knew where the line started or ended. It is such a turnoff that you want to just call it quits when you enter the mass of crowds. I would actually skip this location since you are in an area where there are plenty of places to eat with less of a crowd and which are more organized. read more

I have been going to this Panera restaurant pretty much since it opened many years ago... And I have witnessed how a great idea can turn sour. Quality of food: It used to be a great place you can quickly get a quality meal for decent money. Over the years the quality has steadily declined and prices have crept up. To add insult to injury all their offerings have gotten smaller. At this point I can go to a full blown restaurant and have a real meal and spend roughly the same money. Service: This is their biggest let down. Their service (especially recently) has been atrocious. Painfully slow, mistaken orders, missing items, total chaos behind the counter. Throw in the occasional language barrier for good measure and the final result is pretty much as mentioned above- chaos. Final words: Avoid. There are so many better budget restaurants in the area - it is not like Panera has cornered any market- by a long shot. read more

First off, when I order my special custom sandwich I don't want a damn fresh pressed grilled cheese. Second of all, don't take my soup back with it in order to fix the sandwich. The guy serving me looked at me like he walked in on me porking the owner of Panera's wife. These questions are inappropriate in this kind of setting. You don't automatically assume that just because someone is visibly different than the demographic you normally serve, therefore he/she must not be an American. Mr. Tony cashier, stop living in a bubble. Get out of Massachusetts more so you can see a variety of people who don't look like you. It's 2015, you know, not 1960. New to the area, and in my new-found state of BEING INSANELY POOR (MA jobs don't pay as well as CT jobs do, boo!), I've been unable to afford internet access in my apartment. So knowing that all Panera Bread Co's have free wifi, I decided this place would be my new favourite hang out. Not so much. I went there a couple times with no issues, but then subsequently I'll buy something to eat or drink, only to find out that their wifi isn't working, and I feel jipped having just purchased their not-cheap food for the luxury of wifi. My frustration with Panera Bread extends well beyond this specific location. However, my recent experience at this restaurant set me off enough to write the review. IMO, Panera has lost most of the appealing traits that once made it a decent eatery despite being a chain. Recently, in their desire to speed up service and serve more customers, they have completely lost focus on quality. My sandwich today literally had all the turkey on one side of the sandwich and all the avocado and mayo on the other side. The mayo was clumped on half the sandwich in such a manner that made it completely unappealing; the lettuce looked to be a week old. The sandwich appeared to have been prepared by a two year old. Why do they have pictures of their sandwiches on the walls? Nothing in the restaurant is served in a manner even slightly resembling the picture. It's amazing what people will do for free WiFi access. My wife, daughter and I were looking for a lunch place yesterday. I needed to check email, so we agreed to find a place to do both. The first choice, Barnes and Noble on Rt. 9 in Newton, was a bust since they don't have free Wifi (an important distincition). So, it's off to Panera bread in Framingham. What a mistake. The place is crowded, the food not very good, and expensive - $25 for a couple of soups, sandwiches, teas and chocolate cake. The cake was the best, although it tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for a while. Next time we'll try somewhere else. We've heard that Brueggers has free WiFi, but have been unable to confirm. Why is it so difficult to find an on-line directory of free WiFi establishments? Seems like a no-brainer for Yahoo or Google (or someone enterprising). read more

Ordered 12 sandwich boxes for a work lunch. When we opened the boxes and started to unwrap the sandwiches, many small flies came out. Fruit fly looking insects. They were in the bread,meat and the pickle. Every sandwich had this and even the box of cookies we ordered. They sent out a new order but I have never seen anything like this ever before. This restaurant is an example of how you do quality fast food that tastes great with great service. There are other local choices but if you're at target and homegoods, Panera is the choice. The menu is fresh and varied and took less that 5 minutes to get soup and an Italian sandwich and oriental chicken salad. The best part was the store manager, Brian, stopping by to chat. He was busy clearing tables but chatting with many customers. It's clear he takes pride in his restaurant and the attention he pays to the patrons. We also met Bruno, his assistant, moving food once our alarms went off. I watched the crew preparing food and it was evident they were better motivated than McDonald's and burger king. Normally I don't review chain restaurants but tonight's service is begging for me to voice myself. Young little Indian girl greeted me at the register. I explained what I wanted and was very clear and articulate. She needed clarifications 3 times about my order, so I repeated myself even slower to make sure she got it. One clarification, I can understand, but 3 times was a bit much. And it wasn't a language barrier issue either. Then I wanted the cherry smoothie, she said they were out. That bummed me out. So I requested a mango smoothie instead. She asked if I wanted whipped cream, I clearly said no thank you. She politely wishes me to have a nice evening, then hands me my receipt and the plastic indicator. I notice on my receipt that whipped cream was indicated on the receipt after about 3 minutes of waiting. I looked up and on the counter and I see a lone mango smoothie with a bunch of whipped cream on top. I said to the ladies that made it that I clearly asked for no whipped cream on my mango smoothie. Then the girl had the audacity to say: "Can I just scrape it off the top?". I couldn't believe that question was even asked, I was infuriated so I gave a dirty look and shook my head no. She then yelled at the cashier lady to be more careful with the drink orders. Then she made me a new one with no further verbal exchange. If they mess up a drink at Starbucks, they wouldn't even think to ask that, they just apologize and take the drink back and make a new one. But wow, I was shocked. The Panera is fine but ALWAYS adds chicken to the PLAIN Strawberry & Poppy salad. There are two options for this salad printed right on their menu but even when the correct one is entered into the register, the wrong salad is made... They also always lag on their rapid pick-up orders. No one is ever ready to check the bags before they hit the pick-up shelves. So the completed orders just sit, delayed by the last step. read more

Panera is so average or below average. This particular location is actually better than most. They get the orders right and they are fast. However, I think they have the potential for a slam dunk and they really just miss. The food is so mediocre. The name makes me expect something much better . Got the Asian chicken salad this last time and it was meh. They offer apple as a side and I always expect it to be apple slices but they just whack an apple on your plate. This location however is VERY clean, including the bathrooms, and I noticed the guy cleaning up the dining room was doing an extremely thorough job, which impressed me. Parked and went in to find my food waiting in the "pick up" area. Drove home to find an item missing. Tried to call the store only to have it ring endlessly for 30 min. Finally reached someone and the manager explained that they "focus on the instore customers and there wasn't much she could do." I am a fan of the franchise because of their cinnamon crunch bagel... SO GOOD. But we brought a foccaccia home and it was less than stellar in particular given the price. Big fan of Panera, they always have fresh good food. I usually get the Broccoli Cheddar soup and an extra piece of bread. When I went in today I noticed they had a new rigatoni dish with spicy sausage and peas, which I'm dying to try still. But I got the usual, with a Turkey, Bacon, Avocado sandwich, and a pecan cookie, great decision as they were all delicious :) Despite the fact that the line was long, and it seemed to be pretty busy...I got my food in probably 7 minutes or just a little bit less I was pleasantly surprised. I don't know why it is the norm for them to forget items when you place a takeout order. Last night the expediter, who I watched check everything in the bag against the receipt, gave me a bag missing one of our sandwiches. Thankfully we know to check because they mess up orders so often. Sure enough, one of the sandwiches was missing and she was defensive about it when I brought it to her attention. Had attitude pointing out that there was a sandwich in the bag...but she was not getting that yes, there was one, but the OTHER one is missing. Then one of the line employees found it, they chuckled about it, and she she gave me back my bag and never apologized. My salad was not as good as usual either. It's truly a mixed bag going to this Panera. We came here a number of times over the summer, preferring to sit on their lovely little patio outside. The thing is, their food and portions are so inconsistent it really just comes down to who is prepping the food on the line that day. I've been to different Panera locations hundreds of times and this is without a doubt the worst. Service is absolutely terrible. Here's two stories: Once I ordered food for two people over the phone, they said 15 minutes. I went in 20 minutes later, she said the food wasn't done yet, gave me an attitude about it too, like she was annoyed with me for coming in too soon, even though it was 5 minutes after it was supposed to be done. 15 minutes later, they still hadn't told me it was done, I asked another person who said it had been sitting behind the counter for 20 minutes. So it was sitting there when the first girl gave me attitude. I checked the food when I got outside, they gave me the wrong kind of soup. I went back in and told them, another person got annoyed with me. They got me the right soup. I got back to work to eat it, I was given the wrong kind of bread. I asked for whole grain, they gave me white. Today I ordered lunch again over the phone, he said it's going to take 15-25 minutes. Don't give me a range, there's no point in my going in after 15 and waiting for 10 minutes. And 25 minutes? That's ridiculous, it should be 5, MAYBE 10 if they're busy. I may complain to the manager if I get rude service again when I go in or if my food isn't ready. read more

I'm usually a fan of Panera for a quick lunch or dinner. it's not normally my first choice, but when I go, it's usually for convenience. With that said, the Framingham Panera is really terrible. I recently went in for a quick dinner while running errands on a Friday night at around 6:30pm. I decided on you pick two with half a sandwich and soup. I chose a Panini with avocado. They informed me that they didn't have avocado. I picked a different Panini, and they didn't have the bread or the spread for that one. Finally, I picked a turkey sandwich and asked that it be made as a Panini since I'm pregnant and I cant have deli meat unless it's been heated up. I asked to dine-in and went to get a drink while I waited. They had no lids for my medium drink. When my name was called, everything was in a bag. I told them it was supposed to be for here, and they offered to give me a plate. I said no thanks and sat down. My soup was 1/2 full and the sandwich looked as if it had been tossed on the press for 10 seconds. the cheese was not melted and the turkey was cold. I returned to the counter and nicely asked them to remake everything, and this time, make it for here. The manager rudely asked me "what's wrong with what you have?" when I listed the problems, he huffed and said "fine we'll give you a new meal" - never an apology or offer to refund me.
