Experience at this location is super hit or miss. Back in the day when I first started working this was actually my first food industry job. I was one of the first people they hired and I think that's why I keep coming back because I always loved the food. I love their bacon breakfast soufflés, their Asiago loaves and bagels are to die for, their bear claws are yummy! I also am a total fan of their lunch items. I wish they started serving their soups earlier in the day. Lots of seating in this area and for the most part easy to find parking! Terrible. Stopped caring about quality and customer service a while ago. The restaurant is often dirty, unkempt and disorganized -- coffee never available or refilled, crumbs everywhere, tables often dirty and not wiped down. The staff isn't particularly friendly when ordering. Now they make you pick up your food from the kitchen counter -- almost every time something is missing or incomplete or wrong, and it feels really awkward there and unfriendly as the staff is shoving trays of food in your face to take away. Basically you're doing their job between bussing your own tables and picking up and delivering your own food, making sure the order is complete before you get to your own table. But they actually have the audacity to ask for a tip! Food is often warm not hot, very sloppily put together, utensils often not appropriate to what's being served (ex. fork when the plate has a cup of soup). Just really disappointing no one has any sense of pride or professionalism. Ordering online and delivery a total disaster -- last time we had half of our order missing and after calling, Panera refused to credit any of the missing items back to my card. They said they'd send me a coupon in the mail, which of course they never did. I know this isn't Canlis, but for crying out loud.... get better service and a more friendly atmosphere at McDonalds these days. read more

I received half the portion size I normally get from Panera for my salad. Also, the server/waiter yelled at us outside about our order being ready for pickup inside, yet we saw him a minute later delivering food to someone else outside. The food at Panera is amazing. The staff are out standing. The atmosphere could be better. The music never matches to the restaurant. Also, sometimes you can hear EVERYTHING the staff say because they are talking SOO loud. Other then that, Panera is great. Young girl who is running orders to tables, is trying to hurry so fast shes running into customers. (maybe manager since she is dressed differently than other employees) We recieved our order without drinks, recieved an apple instead of a fruit cup so she asked if she could just slice up an apple for us? I asked if they were out of fruit cups? She said no and rolled her eyes and said ok I'll give it to you for free. I said I actually paid for it. My bread bowl came in a cup, so instead of correcting it, she gave me a bread round, uncut and cold... Not impressed with your downgrades to your error especially for something I paid for. Horrible management and beyond. Is the ownership dead or senile? Where is the ownership or the corporate from all this? This location has become the talk of the town, but corporate seems dormant. The manager does not seem able to hire someone over 16 or male. The employees are un-interested and seem down. You cannot get even a smile out of someone. We went for the food, but eventually the cleanliness and disorganization got to us. Almost every-time we go there, the manager is training a new 16ish female employee. As a matter of fact, a week ago, my wife and I came in when no one else was in the restaurant, stood for ten minutes across from the manager and his trainee, while he was training her, and did not even bother to even say Hi, Hello, one minute please, welcome, or even look at us standing 24" over him. I was about to burst out and teach him about respect of the customer, but my wife pressed on my hand not to say anything. I really thought about this almost every-time I come back from this panera location but decided not to write. Today he did it. We walked in at 1:35 PM and the line was out of the door. Only one employee at the counter with a line that looks like the security line at the airport. One girl behind that cashier, was just pacing back and forth not doing anything, absolutely nothing, It seems like a new employee who has no knowledge of any of the operations yet. We looked to use the self serve kiosks, They were down. People were very frustrated in the line and most started to leave. I asked my wife "would you be upset if we leave?" she replied "absolutely not" We left. Walked to a place around the corner, got greeted, sat down, ordered, ate, paid, and left. Service was friendly and the food was good also. It is a shame that a corporate store like Panera, is clueless, and their failure is an added profit to their competition. The owner of this Panera should be very concerned, because eating places are a-dime-a-dozen and I know that place costed him no less $942,000 up to 1.6 millions. Wake up before it is too late. The staff are really friendly here! While I was waiting for my order workers made small talk with me! We got our food to go and it was pretty speedy! My Mac and cheese was nice and hot. I like they're Mac and cheese because its creamy and filling. And my husband enjoyed his chipotle panini, only problem was that his panini was all over the bag. There was chicken and oil all over the other items and it made a mess in my car. Bleh. Next time I will check the bag before I go, it must of been on the bottom of the box of his chipotle panini! I REALLY want to give these guys 5 stars! Excellent food! Great service! Even when they messed up! In fact, the manager comes over, apologizes that my meal is late compared to the other. He brings me my coffee, and my cheddar bagel sandwhich, along with a receipt and the money it costs and says "this isn't how I want your experience to be with us, I hope you'll try it again and let me know how it goes". Wow. And I have been back 3 times in two weeks. The souffles are absolutely amazing, far better than any other coffee shop you can possibly go to. I strongly recommend calling ahead and reserving these as they sell out quickly. So why not 5 stars? With GREAT service? And GREAT food? The environment just isn't inspiring...reminds me of a coffee shop in a motel 6. It needs to be a bit cozier in there. read more

I like to go to Panera when I am not overly hungry. I usually order 'You Pick 2' where I order a sandwich, soup and bread. My favorite is their Lentil soup with quinoa and chicken. But they are usually out of it because it's so popular. Today, I got their Frontega Chicken panini and southwest chowder. It was ok. The service is good and the servers make sure they ask you if you need anything with a smile ! I am surprised at their negative reviews. Come on people- this is a chain restaurant and people come in and get out so quickly, that there's hardly any opportunity for you to judge their service. It's a different story if you just don't like their food. They also have a kiosk where you can order w/o having to wait in line. Download their app and become their loyalty member to earn freebies on your birthday and after racking up points. I am taking a star out since the parking could at times be full and you have to drive around to find a nearby spot. Also, they are always out of my favorite item. Lunch on a cold day called for tomato soup and grilled cheese. The tomato soup was creamy and had good flavor. The grilled cheese was possible the worst sandwich I've ever received in a restaurant. First, for a place specializes in bread, I expected something better than wonderbread. And, for a place which promotes 100% clean food, I expected something other than American Cheese. Also for the price I paid, I expected more than one slice of said American Cheese. On the waste side, I appreciated being able to compost and recycle at Panera's restaurants. The quality of the food here is decent, no better or worse than that at any other Panera Bread I've visited. Why the bad reviews? I have always had great success ordering from this location using the app, however I can't speak for in house service, or external delivery services. My orders and modifications are always correct, and the food is prompt. Also, I did a family style meal and it comes with so much food for $35! I don't write Yelp reviews, but I had to create an account and wrote one for this Panera Team. I'm particular about where I spend my morning work time bc I need somewhere with high energy and good vibes. Every time I come in Jonah and his staff are SO friendly and kind. They are always ON it...always checking and making sure the coffee is still perfect and fresh, always paying close attention to guests and order times. I hear them frequently communicating to each other, making sure everything is running smoothly, as it gets super hectic during rush times. They even made it a point to remember my name :) Today as I was doing my usual thing, Jonah stopped over and gave me a gift certificate... just for always smiling and being kind back to them. For a quick lunch/salad Panera is great to order ahead of time where you can buy online and then pick up at the store. It will take 10 minutes, and there's never been a time where it wasn't ready, even if our order was large (five or more salads). I also like that when you do pick up in the store, there's a specific pick-up location so that you don't have to wait in line and ask for it at the counter. I usually get the Chopped Salad with Avocado and it's about nine bucks. The portion is large enough where you won't finish all of it. The quality of the romaine lettuce though isn't the freshest as oftentimes I've seen it's wilted and close to its expiration. The portion of the avocado is never consistent either. I assume they give you half an avocado and sometimes when I've ordered it's less or more. You're paying extra for avocado, so it's fair to say that it should always be the same portion/half an avocado. read more

Since my first visit in 2011, they've cleaned up the queueing model from "most efficient for Panera, not so much for the customer", where I'd have three separate areas to pick up my items, to a more rational one. Food: The coffee is really good. Pastries are okay - muffies (muffin tops sans bottoms) are great, the rest is ... just okay. Bagels: they're no Eltana. I'm burnt out of the asiago and really want a poppy (not 'everything'). Soups: pretty good, especially the French Onion in a sourdough bread bowl. Sandwiches: okay. Their food is okay. Nothing special. I had never really tried their stuff before but I signed up for their coffee subscription so I figured I'd try some things like bagels, cinnamon rolls, etc. Nothing stood out as really amazing and the staff seemed annoyed when I would order coffee for curbside. It says ready within ~15 min (but it never took that long) except for the last time. I sat outside for 25 min and was about to just leave and right when I put my car in reverse someone came out and, again, seemed really annoyed. I canceled the subscription and stopped going. Why is this restaurant even open? For the second time in a row I have come here for curbside delivery and no one ever comes out to deliver my food! They've taken the curbside signs down, so there is never a designated parking area and every time this has happened, manager Joe is on duty. Aside from the fact that he doesn't even let you speak before rushing you off the phone, he doesn't try to solve the issue either. I tried to explain to him that my call was based on this being the second incident, I also stated multiple times that I was at the store in the car described in my profile. Notified them I was here via my flashers, the app button and the email confirmation (I even turned on my location setting to be sure they new I was here). But yet again no food. What was even more insulting was that he kept trying to blame the situation on door dash. With me repeatedly reporting that I was right outside the front door at this point! Panera - I knew you when you were St. Louis bread Company, and I used to believe in your brand and customer service. They have healthy food, although I do work at avoiding carbs. except for ... their mac & cheese. It gets me every time. It is difficult to find a quiet place in the store though, so for one to one meetings, I prefer somewhere else. They are conveniently located in a corner so there are lots of windows and plenty of parking. I don't mind walking though. It's healthier to walk a few steps. I would say for breakfast, I like the quinoas or their steel cut oats. Their tea and coffee bar is always a part of my stop. Unlimited refills during the time I am there. read more

Well, we ordered via the kiosk and ordered one steak white cheddar sandwich panini and one chicken salad sandwich and a pb&j for the kid. I can only attest to what I had which was the panini which was served to me cold, the meat inside was ice cold, so I asked the server who brought it back and warmed it up for me which looks like they microwaved it. They brought the plate back without the chips that came with it but at least the sandwich was hot. The meat was tossed on top of it in one pile so I had to lay the sandwhich meat out on the bread to at least look appetizing. The taste was really gross, no flavor at all to the meat and the bread was hard at this point after it cooled down. I ordered a cappuccino as well which they had forgotten about completely so I had to go back up after 10 minutes and ask for it. They seem highly disorganized and don't seem to care much about their jobs. read more

I've been here about five times, and have yet to have a meal on par with other Panera locations. Today there were only two small pieces of avocado on my Thai salad. There's an upcharge to add it, so I feel ripped off. They sent it with italian dressing instead of the Thai dressing. The toppings were really skimpy - there are supposed to be peanut dressing and cashews but both were absent. The lettuce was wilted and what little avocado was on it was browned. My half sandwich was small and had wilted lettuce and almost no hummus. Honestly, every time I get food from a different Panera it's great. I won't be eating at this one for some time to come. Every time my kids and I get here, I need to wipe a table for us. It's ether no one to ask to do it, or they wipe it and leave super wet. I guess they change mac-n-cheese receipt but kids used to like them, now both of them complain about the taste. Every time I order half salad they charge and bring me the full one. This time they gave me wrong salad twice. It looks like it's been too many teenagers working at this location without any adult supervision... kids having fun behind the counter and can't care less for the customers... I don't think we would come here again any time soon and it used to be my kids favorite place for lunch. read more

I've been going to this location for about 8 years, and it has gone considerably downhill. Half the time I go here they get my order wrong- today it was not putting any egg in my ham, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich- an item that is straight off their menu with no modifications. Then I had to walk around the store trying to find someone to help me correct my order, all of the employees were in the back and no where to be found. They usually forget to put my side of bread in my takeout order so I've made it a regular habit to check. I'm not sure why the service and general lack of care at this store has gone way down, but I hope they fix it because this is the only Panera in the area and I (used to) like to go here often. read more

Ehhhhh. Was not impressed by this location. Very busy, very long lines, very dirty. There were probably 20 people in line. We used the little self ordering computer up front. It was very easy to use, and easy to customize the entrees to how you like it. I would recommend using this over ordering through an employee; like I said, you can make whatever modifications you want to your food and don't have an annoyed employee or line of impatient people behind you. Lots of seating at this location, even with how busy it was we were able to find a small booth. The floor was disgustingly dirty, as was the booth itself - looked like it hadn't been wiped or vacuumed in weeks. Food came out rather quick. I did not receive a receipt (NOT ok with that - I use my receipts to keep track of my spending!!) so I don't know exactly the names of what we ordered. My mom got a You Pick 2, some sort of strawberry salad and some kind of sandwich with a baguette. Her baguette was probably 3x the size of the one I got. I got a chicken caesar salad and a smoked turkey sandwich. The sandwich was good; but the salad was probably one of the worst salads I've ever had at Panera. Barely any chicken, I didn't see any cheese (which is one of my favorite parts of it) and it was completely drenched in dressing. Still love Panera no matter what, just won't be back to this location again. read more

I am in the middle of my worst "dining" experience in a long time. How can two kids meals, a half sandwich / half salad, a bowl of chili and 4 sodas cost $45??? That was my first eye opener a 1/2 hour ago when I placed my order at a McDonald's style cash register / order taker. Then I proceed to wait 1/2 for the food, does that food sound complicated, I don't think so. Then a twelve year old looking girl brings out food to the table, and just sets it down, no apology about the wait. THIS IS MY FIRST AND LAST MEAL HERE!! I typically love Panera food but this location needs some work. They're almost always out of something I want (i.e. coffe, bread, soup, etc.) and its always ridiculously dirty. It seems like the tables and chairs rarely get wiped down and don't even get me started on the floors. I usually get the half sandwich and soup which is the perfect size for me, but every time I get a half sandwich here it's mostly bread with very little substance in between. My boyfriend orders the whole sandwiches which are packed so it doesn't make sense why the half sizes are so small. I do like the self ordering stations. It lets you customize your food without annoying the long line of people behind you. read more
