Mkkayla, the manager, may have offered us the best Panera experience we have ever had. From letting us try soups we hadn't tasted before to tolerating our big families chaotic requests, she made us feel welcome throughout. super weird experience. I love Panera and have always felt welcome this time though we went in and there was no greeting from any staff which is fine, as long as I can get my mac n cheese. We walked to the counter where your order is taken and there was no one directly in front of the register. We patiently waited for about five minutes just talking about what we might order, and there was a boy near the bakery area squeezing soup into a bowl. We made eye contact with him but he never said a word. of course, it's understandable if he's busy to not take our order, but he didn't even offer a, "Hey, someone will be with you in a minute." So we stood there for about 15 or so minutes without being helped. (There was no line and there was only one other party in the restaurant). I then called out and asked, "excuse me sir," but the boy Ignored us still. A man near the ipads for orders turned his head (I didn't know if he worked there or not) and I asked him if we were supposed to order at the iPads or the counter. He actually did end up working there and mumbled under his breath as he walked behind the register. He asked us, annoyed, how we knew he worked there. We just kind of shrugged. He then took our order, then another woman who was much more helpful finished our order for us and we went and sat down. As my friend and I were taking our first bites, the man who initially took our order approached us, and leaned against the counter. My friend and I looked at each other and he asked, "how did you know I worked here," we kind of didn't know how to answer this. He was the only guy in the lobby and we never even directly called out to him. We also never claimed that he worked there, just simply asked where to order. Not impressed with the Kalispell location. Have had Panera all over the country and usually very little mistakes. 3 out 3 times at this location my food has been wrong every time. One time I even had half of someone else's sandwich......how the hell does that even happen. read more

This location was a let down. Broccoli cheddar soup was cold the Napa almond chicken salad was good but the portion wasn't what I was used too from other locations. The restaurant was dirty for a new location. Dirty floors and mats, food and crumbs under tables and booths. Dirty tables not being cleaned by staff in a timely matter. The bathroom was dirty trash can overflowing, filthy sink and toilet. The worst part though was watching employee after employee including a manager taking smoke breaks in the parking lot in plain view of eating customers and then coming back inside to work smelling like packs of cigarettes and not washing their hands.... Is was dirty. The floor sticky. The tables and seats needed to be wiped off. Had limp lettuce on my seat. It was 3:30 in afternoon with plenty of help but they needed supervision. This Panera is only doing drive through because of short staffing. No access to lobby/dining area. It always takes 20-30min in the drive through line to get the window. I ordered soup with a baguette and a bagel. When I got to pay, they didn't know my order. I told them again. After opening the bag it didn't have the banquet and no spoon to eat my soup. I didn't have a way to communicate this without getting back in the drive through line and waiting another 30 minutes. :/ so I left and sipped the soup from the bowl. read more

I'm surprised this has such low reviews. I went through the drive-thru and experienced impeccable service. Service was prompt, accurate, and friendly. My Cuban sandwich was delicious and I had the best chocolate chip cookie of my life. I would definitely say this is the best Panera I have been to and I'm looking forward to getting another one of those cookies! read more

The food tastes good but it's hit and miss if you will get your order correct or in its entirety. Constantly out of stock on items, constantly forgetting items on orders or getting the wrong items. All of these mistakes have been on "to go" orders, and I guess maybe shame on me for not digging through my bags before leaving, but when the order is clearly printed on the side with quantities, I trust them to be fulfilled. read more

Second time at this location, we utilized drive through, tried to order an avocado sandwich, they were out of them. Ask for half a dozen bagels, cream cheese, and a small coffee. After going back and forth with them we thought they had it until she said it was fourteen dollars!! The half dozen bagels are 6 and change and the coffee is 1.89?! Went up to window and they still had more questions about our order. Finally a guy came to the window, I asked how many cream cheese come with the bagels? He said we give one for each bagel. He left, came back, and said how does twelve dollars sound? I said, goodbye. I ordered the you pick two and asked for no avocado in my salad and no tomatoes on my sandwich. Both of my items had the items I requested off within them. That's fine, I can always take them off, but then I open the dressing for my salad and just the inside of the container was coated with no other dressing. Good food but hectic servers. The location has a high school vibe with different groups of staff all just hanging out. Almost feels over staffed. There is always inappropriate small talk and workers standing around doing nothing other than getting in the way at the drink stand while they fill their cup as if they were a customer. What a disappointment! All the soups looked so good on the website that we had a hard time choosing. We decided on the French Onion Soup. When we got home and opened the containers, there were NO croutons or CHEESE on top of the soup. Just the broth and onions. Good enough but hardly onion soup and definitely NOT as pictured on the website . Additionally, the place was crawling with kids...some working. Most not. Apparently, it's the new hangout. I decided to try the new Panera. Waiting in line was long. I ordered the turkey, avocado, BLT It was horrible. The bread wasn't toasted, ice cold bacon, and the turkey was round globs of tasteless rubber. The service to bring our food to the table was prompt and courteous. I won't go back. read more

I ordered online for the first time ever to pick up Panera, I have had the pleasure of eating in several times. I have to say my order was great, they had my meal sacked and ready for me to walk in and pick it up, My drink was right next to my bag. If I had known how quick and efficient this process was I would not have even shut my engine off. It actually took longer for me to get out of my vehicle than to pick it up when I went inside. There is this place in lakeside,MT called Glacier Perks, it's a cute Montana coffee shop with great food.(amazing soup) it is so much better than Panera bread, which is a joke. Over priced food That isn't good, serving sizes that are tiny. read more

I am sorry for the lateness of this comment, which is why I don't have my order number. I was in Whitefish, MT for a destination wedding for my nephew and his new bride in Glacier National Park on August 6, 2019. My job as the aunt was to provide a light meal after the wedding, while the bride and groom went with a photographer to capture their special day. I had a lot of anxiety with this task because I am not from MT. but then I remembered I used Panera catering in my local community. I reached out and spoke with Will who was the catering manager. I had to accommodate a vegetarian, a vegan and pescatarian in the mix of 28 people we had attending. I also needed to have the food remain food safe for at least 4 hours to accommodate a two hour drive to the destination in Glacier National Park, the wedding and a warm summer day. Will (I regret I don't remember his last name) did an OUTSTANDING job. He talked me through the options that would work for my group, and assured me that he could make the food safe with ice and bagging, which also meant I didn't need to purchase a variety of coolers from a local store. I picked up at 2:00pm our catering, bagged and boxed neatly and began our journey to Glacier National Park. The wedding setting was beautiful at Pray Lake where there was a picnic area on the shoreline. We took out the bags, which were neatly organized and labeled, of salads and half sandwiches, chips and cookies and well sealed bags of ice. Everything was temperature correct!! The extended family and guests had plenty to eat, everything was fresh and we had this magic moment with our family. I highly recommend Panera in Kalispell and the catering manager, Will. read more

While the staff have made a couple goofs in my order (specifically I abstain from pork due to religious reasons & some bacon has made it's way into my salad...), when manager Will learned of this, he was quick to accept responsibility and work to make things right. My family has found him and several other staff to go the extra mile to help us feel welcomed and valued as customers. The excellence in customer service trickles down from leadership to help make for a great dining environment. That combined with delicious food & a warm cozy fireplace has made Panera one of our favorite places to eat in Kalispell :) read more

I'm not impressed. Management needs to get some of their employees under control. Horrible service. A kid so high he cannot function. I watched a group standing out by the garbage cans smoking and I'm certain they had pot due to the smell. I arrived just after they closed for the evening and saw a group wit Panera hats on walk out to the dumpsters and light up cigarettes, vapes, and what looked like pipes. I could not believe my eyes. I went back to my car and sat for a bit and they all eventually went back inside, there was a small handful of people inside still, it seemed they were the only ones working. I went back the next night before they closed and stood waiting for ten minutes before anyone even acknowledged I was there. I'm wondering where the adults are in this business and how it's still functioning. I've never had a good experience at this Panera location. And wonder who the manager is, as I have called directly and always end up talking with a manager on duty who seems to be a child and not interested in what I have to say.
