We went during lunch time, which I realize is a busy time, but this time it was pretty ridiculous. I understand That they are trying to encourage people to use the kiosks systems to place their orders, but come on people...One cashier to service 15 people in line...you can't possibly think that's reasonable! We had taken my 94 year-old mother for her birthday lunch. All three of us got our orders and the soup was cold on EVERY order. When I mentioned it to the server he told me that I could go warm it in the microwave myself, but he wasn't permitted to warm food...?! The sandwich I ordered and the sandwich I received were two different sandwiches. We each had a glass of green tea which tasted like there were chemicals in it! Yikes! Quick service every time we come, even during lunch hour when it's packed. Food is good. Workers are friendly. Wish they had a second fountain drink machine. There's always too many people trying to get drinks and people here seem to get crazy when they have to wait for their coke! I don't like being pushed around by others and that seems to happen here when I go to get a drink here. read more

I have used this location for catering on two different occasions for lunches at a local care facility. The feedback from the staff was the presentation and quality of the food is excellent. I will use this location again. The catering director has always been helpful in seting up these events. read more

Let me start by saying I love Penera. I love the salads and soups. This location is close to my work so I tend to frequent there but the attention to detail has gotten to a point that I have to say something. It has not failed that if I order two breakfast sandwiches, one with meat and one without they always get one wrong. They make two sandwiches but they make them exactly the same. I either get two with no meat or two with meat and if I don't check both chances are I will have one wrong sandwich. Come on guys do a better job of getting it right. I am usually on my way to work and really don't have time to double check and wait for you to redo it. Maybe it's time to go back to not eating here in the morning again. At least I will save some money and the headache that goes with having to tell them they did it wrong again. Ugh!!! read more

The reason I chose panera during my work break is that it is a healthier option and I can easily get in and out within 10 min. Now... you want me to wait in line in order to place my order. Let's be honest the food is good. If you are looking for healthy... it is not the best around but the taste is there. I must be honest... I do not know if I can continue to support this business. I feel like they are making it harder and harder to deal with people. I have had MANY issues with my order being correct so, I like to call my order in and pick it up. Typically, Its a work order and I am ordering 3-5 items. This time they tell me that they are no longer accepting phone in orders unless to pre-pay via credit card. I enjoy paying with cash and now I need to find a card in order to eat here. COME ON!!! Why do I come back? There are plenty of restaurants that will take my order for a salad and let me pay cash once I get there. Nonsense!!! read more

On 6/2/11 I went to Panera for the first time. I asked if there were any souffles available. I was told they would be ready in about 2 minutes. So I ordered one and a coffee and took a seat to wait. I saw them bring the souffles out and put them on the display. I then waited another few moments expected them to put mine in a bag. The two ladies working then proceeded to stock napkins, silverware ect. They took a few more orders as I continued to wait. Then a new customer went up to order a souffle. I then went to the counter and asked for mine. I feel that the customer service was unacceptable. I will not be returning even though I found the food fantastic. read more

I first went to the Panera Bread in Orlando. Was impressed with the food. When my high school buddies suggested Panera in La Verne, we went and found the same consistent service we enjoyed in FL. The panini is definitely my favorite. It's tastefully done, not too heavy. Definitely great for health conscious folks. The food was served within 5 minutes. The restaurant was a bit understaffed, so there were old plates left on a few tables yet to be cleaned up. But understandably, they were trying. a good neighborhood restaurant that you can go in and out of in 40 minutes. read more

What to say other than send you staff to school so they can figure out how many ounces go into a 20 oz drink. I ordered a Chai Tea and paid the upgrade to go from 16oz to 20 oz. I get the tea and there is almost 1/4 less in the cup. I asked why and the manager tells me she has to leave room for the toppings. What toppings? I told her I don't want any toppings so if she can fill the cup up and she tells me "no, because this is how it's made and how much she can give since she has to leave room for toppings." I don't want toppings, so why leave room for something the customer does not want? Let's see, you pay the extra to go from 16oz to 20oz, but only get 16 oz, so how is this considered a 20oz drink? In addition, if you stick with the original 16oz you only get 12oz, but they call it a 16oz drink. So let's recap, in Panera Management thinking, 20oz is really 16oz and 16oz is really 12oz, and if the customer does not want "room for toppings" it does not matter because the training book and policy states to leave room for toppings. Glad to see they listen to the customers...oh wait they don't because apparentley the training manual tells them not to listen to the customer and what they want. What a crack management team!!!!! read more

I'm eating the Cinnamon Crunch bagel as I write this review. This place replaced Michael J's Restaurant. I had been watching the transformation (remodeling). Didn't know what was going to replace it until Panera Bread sign went up one day. We were very excited cuz we LOVE the food at this chain restaurant. The best bakery there is. The sandwiches are very good, too. We always get the cuban chicken sandwich and the napa almond chicken salad sandwich. YUM! and their brewed coffee is so good. BTW, the place is packed, line out the door during lunch hour. We got there at 11am and it was already busy. Just be patient with them, it's only their second week in business. read more

Sadly I go here all the time and usually have no issues! Tonight, not so much! With my whole family sick, I decided to get soups and desserts, my soups were wrong and only received half the pastries I ordered! Ugh! Too sick to return! And I even tipped them! I have been to Panera several times, so this review isn't over one visit, it's over the many visits I've had. When it first opened they were swamped all the time, but that is expected for a new successful business! They literally built this from the ground up. I already know Panera prices and how busy their lunch rush could be from other stores, so all that was expected. A lot of people complain about their always being a line...but that is not the business fault that they are busy...i've never seen their employees just hanging out and not doing their job. Anyways, I love their sandwiches and soups. The first time there I think they messed up my order, but I have been going since and the service is accurate and a lot faster now. I also really like their Panera rewards card, it feels good to get free food! Anyways, I like this Panera because the food is good and the ambiance is nice, it's a great place to sit at and do homework while enjoying a sandwich or even just a coffee. read more

meh. make sure to take your receipt and check what they put on your ticket. i came in today and ordered a small soup with a soft dinner roll but i got a sprouted wheat roll. when i told the girl dropping my food off that this was wrong she said "were out of soft dinner rolls." so obviously the front cashier girl didn't care enough to tell me they were out of an item and just put some random item in place of it. that's not how you're supposed to take people's orders lmaooooo what a joke read more

I used to like this location. Is it just me, or did they change the menu? I distinctly remember that when I used to order a half sandwich, that I got a little salad with it. I don't like the way we have to go get our own drinks. They used to have good green tea, but not anymore. I got half of a tomato and mozzarella sandwich, and there was an itty bitty tomato, and 2 tiny slices of cheese in the middle. I got a bag of chips even though I asked if I could substitute a salad for them. The person taking my order was not helpful, and seemed annoyed that I didn't want chips. The food is not what it used to be. I remember ordering the same sandwich and having big slices of cheese and a couples of slices of tomato. Don't think we're coming back. My son's portion was teeny. He is still hungry and so am I. We are going to have to go home and have a snack. My husband got the full chicken sandwich and he is the only one who feels satisfied. read more

All three times they have misheard my order and tried to give something other than what I've asked. I visited the store in La Verne CA. it was dinner time so i thought we would give then a try. First off ordering was a pain no one in my party could understand the girl who was taking our order, we are not hard of hearing and speak only English. After that we went to find a table, there were several tables available but all were dirty and had dishes on them, I had to find someone to clean a table for us. Our order was delivered to our table - we ordered Full Sandwiches but they looked like some stripped down al a cart version, the plates they came on were very large so it looked empty even with the side order, one person in my party had their sandwich delivered on two plates- what was that all about!. I also had a Brownie it was hard as a ROCK It must have been 3 weeks old The sandwiches were just so so not very good at all - way too much hype. Also the wi fi users took up too many tables for way too long, so customers wanting to sit and eat had trouble being seated or forced to go outside - it was very cold that night - not good! All in all I was very disappointed. They just didn't live up to expectations. read more

Not only does this place have horrible service but to have personally witness the manager herself treat a blind lady poorly was just beyond me. The blind lady seemed very capable but she asked the manager probably not knowing she was the manager for guidance to the restroom. Without hesitation the manager came off unbelievably rude saying it is not her job to go out of her way for customers for such requests. And it doesn't end there once the ladies Access driver came to pick her up she told the driver to never bring handicap to their business without supervision!!! Are you kidding me! I really don't like to complain but just have to this time, after experiencing the same issues when I go to this specific Panera, it's disappointing as a customer. Ordered 2 coffees in a mug, bagel & bear claw, go to pour coffee, bottom of the coffee, uugghh! They had 3 milk canisters all empty, asked for a refill on each & cashier looked at us as we were bothering her, someone came out from the back to grab only 1 canister to refill, didn't check others until my husband told him, they all were empty. The coffee counter was filthy dirty, no one wipes or replenishes necessary items. My husband had first cup of coffee, went back 20 mins for refill, no coffee, he had to ask... took 15 mins, really??. I ordered a bagel which sat up at their counter, I went up with # & offered to be a waiter & pick-up my order. Other customer was complaining as well... this is terrible. Management needs to step it up & have staff checking counter, refilling & be courteous to their customers. Looks like Starbucks will receive my business, they are efficient, polite, smile & greeting is welcoming plus all is refilled!! read more
