I also noticed somebody upset waiting for there order. After getting our food I ordered tomato soup grilled cheese sandwhich. It litterally was the smallest sandwhich i ever seen. With no more then 1 slices of whatever chese they use. I make better grilled cheese at home And i dont belong in a kitchen. After eating my meal im left still hungry. His meal was another small sandwhich . Very small.. thats fine but our bill was the same as if we went to jersery mikes and got huge sized sandwhiches. At least there we leave full. Panera Bread is a good place to eat and has some quality employees. I ordered chili online a while back and they could not fill the bowl due to running out and gave me a soup for free to apologize. The food is normally hot and very fresh! I'm definitely coming back! read more

COVID mask requirements may have been lifted in Washington but I felt fearful today to see a staff member preparing food and another carrying food to the table without masks. The manager said the restaurant decided to let employees decide whether to wear masks or not. Although I love Panera food, I won't be returning in the near future. Easily the worst experience I've ever had at a Panera. The kid taking our order had a slight attitude because we walked in right before closing. I know not the best time to come in, but family just arrived after 8 hours of traveling and was starving. We got it to go Because we knew they were cloaking. Came here to sit while I got my oil changed at Tvetens Auto Clinic... I ordered a cup of soup... no bread, no, chips... just a cup 'o soup. First the wouldn't take a few cents off for all the extras I was doing without... and then it took them almost 10 minutes to put some soup in a cup and call my name. There were only about 4 customers in the whole store and all but me had already ordered and gotten coffee/food. So it's not like the girl with the soup ladle was overwhelmed with orders coming in. This Panera Bread is a great place to grab a bite to eat when you're around the Lakewood Town Center. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting. The free Wifi played a large factor in my frequent visits and a HUGE plus in my book; you will see many people surfing their laptops and I've never seen the staff try to run anyone off, even when it gets crowded. Their sandwiches are incredible and you can even order lattes there! They're decent, nothing out of this world but their food more than makes up for it. read more

Coulda stuffed 3 people for the price at Subway (w/leftovers) and gotten better food and service. All that and theres conveniently placed wastecans around should you choose to bus your own table. The only reason I use Panera is for work. The only plus has always been the lack of a TIP jar. This location has one and that's enough to ensure I don't call in any more orders. My office and I placed a substantial order on Friday using the rapid order pick up service at the Lakewood location. We found out that not only did we did we pay for additional items that we never received, the sandwich someone ordered was made with a really sweet bread and made the sandwich disgusting. After calling the store, I was told to email Panera's Customer Care Team and I would receive a "prompt" reply. Here we are almost a week later and no reply. This Panera Bread is placed in an ideal location. The atmosphere is lovely. It wasn't too crowed when I stopped by. I had planned to get my cheddar broccoli soup to go but I couldn't resist the atmosphere and decided to eat there. I came in direct contact with three employees. All had smiles. Really frustrated with this location. I typically love the food at Panera but the service at this location is always lacking when I visit. They either seem too busy or understaffed to pay attention to customers waiting to ask for something. Additionally, my boyfriend and I tried to order rapid pickup on Christmas Eve (around 4:45). It worked online & even charged my card right away for about $20. When we pulled up, the store had closed at 4 and we asked the manager on duty that was still cleaning the restaurant up if we could simply get the refund - totally understandable to close early on Christmas Eve. She took our information down & said the charge would be cancelled right away. 2 week later, I've still been charged for the food I never got to eat. I mean yeah it's only $20, but still if you say you'll cancel the transaction cancel the transaction. read more

This location is in the Lakewood Towne Center, there is plenty of parking. Inside there is a good amount of seating, also pleasing jazz music in the background, and free wifi is a bonus! Anyways, there are so many items to choose from, breads, muffins, donuts, cookies etc. I ended up ordering the Mediterranean veggie (Which had cucumber, tomatoes, onions, pesto?, feta cheese). A whole bunch of goodness, I also had a bowl of the chickpea chili, which was delicious. I think I actually liked the chili the best. I got the meal deal, half sandwich, soup and my choice of whole wheat baguette, apple, or a Italian loaf or chips. I ended up getting the whole wheat bread, which made a great partner with the chili. When my son-in-law went to go change the baby there was no changing station in the men's bathroom - was hoping to post on here to make a suggestion that one be put in the men's bathroom. Well, my next experience here was epic. I got the usual Asiago roast beef sandwich and the garden vegetable pesto soup. It wasn't busy at all so it took some time for our food to come out. The assistant manager brought us the food. She dropped it off and we both just stared at the soup. Something was wrong right off the bat, there wasn't any steam coming off the soup... Both of them!!! So we got pissed off and walked up to the counter. The kid behind the counter was a complete tool. We stated that the soup was cold. Little prick says well there's a microwave right over there. My husband started to get loud saying that it was his job as a food preparer, making sure its good to go before serving the food... Pretty simple huh? I stated that I want our money back for the piss poor service. Finally the manager (who originally dropped off the food) said she would take care of it. She kindly took the bowls of soup and came back with hot, steamy, soups. The only reason I downgraded 1 star because of that little prick being extremely rude. I expected the sandwiches to be a lot better, being that their bread is baked fresh each morning. This was the first time at any Panera Bread for both my husband and myself. I was expecting something like Grain D'Or (which has GREAT sandwiches, mainly because their bread was so awesome). My husband and I went to Panera for lunch and the sandwiches sounded good. My husband got the Bacon Turkey Bravo (neither of us thought there was anything "bravo" about it), and I got a 1/2 Cuban & 1/2 Turkey Artichoke Panini. The bread for the Turkey Bravo sandwich was normal sliced bread (the sign said that it was "Tomato Basil Bread" and the Panini bread was a rustic white loaf/baguette type bread, thought the sign said that it was Focaccia. The staff there is was very amicable even though it was lunch rush. However, the woman that took our order kept trying to get us to add more food to our order. She asked if we wanted chips, a drink (which we thought was a combo with the Bacon Turkey Bravo - but it wasn't). After that she tried pushing pastries onto us. I really only wanted half a sandwich, but I was told that they only sold whole Paninis (though I could swear that the sign had the whole sandwich price in large print, then 1/2 sandwich price in really small print next to it). You could order the Bacon Turkey Bravo in a 1/2 sandwich option, but not the Panini. When I received my sandwich, each half was wrapped separately (and made separately). I don't understand why I couldn't just get a 1/2 Cuban. Maybe because it would have been the smallest 1/2 sandwich I ever saw? I don't think that either of the sandwiches were worth the over $8 that we paid for each. We ended up getting a tiny bag of chips for $1.60 and a "pick two for $6.79". So my husband had a cup of chicken noodle soup and a tiny salad. I didn't try the soup, but the salad was just normal salad, with iceberg lettuce. I suggest you look at the menu if it's the first time you are going to eat there, so you know what you want and that there are no chips and sandwich combos (just the "pick two" combo which you can add a 1/2 sandwich to for $1.60 more). We spent $30 on that lunch. I think that we could have gotten a much better lunch elsewhere for less than that. I did get a Panera Bread card which is good for a free smoothie or pastry the next time I buy from the restaurant (though I doubt I'll ever go there again). I think that Panera is "trying too hard" to be more than it is. I'd rather have Subway - I could have gotten six foot longs. LOL read more

Waited in line more than 15 min. Two customers ahead of me. One cashier. People lining up behind me, some customers walking past the line to the counter pretending to read the menu. When a second cashier finally arrived, he did not offer to help the next person in line, but instead helped a line jumper. Coincidentally, that same cashier had appeared earlier to give someone a complimentary cinnamon roll because they "had been waiting for an hour" (his words, not mine). Such a disappointing lunch with family and friends today. Unfortunately I'll be there again in a few days because I've already made arrangements with another friend to meet there for lunch. Wish I could change the location. I ordered a Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich which is supposed to have basil pesto on BOTH sides of the bread. It only came with (and I'm not exaggerating here) maybe 1/2 teaspoon on one side of the bread. There were maybe three crumbs of feta cheese in each of our three sandwiches. I was not asked if we wanted our bread toasted (that's standard in the sandwich making food business). Had to hunt down mayonnaise to make it even slightly edible and had to find an employee to get silverware to apply the mayonnaise. Such a letdown. Wish I didn't have to go back there. read more
