Traumatized isnt even the word. I placed a pickup order and when I brought it back home and unwrapped my sandwich a BUG flew out of it. I did some more looking and there was an entire ALIVE GRASSHOPPER moving around in my sandwich aswell. I've been sick to my stomach all day. I went back and got a refund but thats not enough! Visited on 12/31/25, used the $5 off a $10.00 purchase so we got a couple of cookies - chocolate chipper- $3.19, candy cookie- $3.19, and several bagels. Asiago cheese bagel- $1.99, blueberry bagel, $1.99, everything bagel- $1.99. A nice selection of bread and baked goods. (We also got bagels at Einsteins recently. Nice location in a shopping center with a private parking lot. Very nice customer service. An extensive menu selection. I ordered the Chipotle chicken sandwich with sliced bacon added and a cappuccino. The sandwich was very good. The cappuccino was good; standard for cappuccino flavor. My husband brought me breakfast one morning and I was surprised it wasn't a chick fila breakfast instead it's a Benny from Panera bread. I love love it, the taste is just what I want. This is a clean and well-maintained Panera. They have ample parking and seating inside. Great for breakfast or a business lunch. One thing that may have changed is they didn't take the order out to the table and I had to go pick up from the counter. The coffee, dessert, salad, and soup were made perfectly! Officially DONE with this place. I left a review a couple months ago but took it down to give them another chance with the new menu. It's gotten even worse! First off, even walking in, there is bird shit all over the sidewalk where the door is. Second, when you walk in, you can tell the carpets have not been cleaned in years, it smells old and musty. Now the food! I ordered two of the new double bacon breakfast sandwiches one on the focaccia and one on a bagel. I customized and added tomato to both. Well of course I get home and it's not made how I ordered and there is no double bacon. Three small pieces. App deleted and never coming here again after all these years. LP from Saturday, 8/6. My pops wanted a tuna sandwich so we ended up at Panera bread. It's been awhile since I've visited this spot even though it was right down the street from my apartment complex in DT San Jose. In any case, I ordered him a 1/2 tuna sandwich, got myself a 1/2 chipotle chicken avocado melt and a bowl of french onion soup. They offered a dessert for just .99 and since it was such a good deal I couldn't say no. Opted for a blueberry scone and a bear claw. The sandwiches were yummy. The soup would've been great, but it was lukewarm and in all honesty I was too lazy to get up and ask them to heat it up. But it was really tasty so I just sucked it up or should I say spooned it down :-) Minus 1 star as the blueberry scone was really dry and did not have much flavor, it seemed like it was a day old pastry. The bear claw wasn't much better. It was also dry, and I did not care at all for the almond paste/filling. The staff was super friendly and that's always a plus for me. It's been a few weeks since I've visited this spot even though it isn't that far from my home. This location is located near the Walmart on Tropicana and Fort Apache. The last time I was here I picked up the bagel. My favorite are the breast cancer bagels. They're just the right amount of sweet. Usually the staff will toast the bagel for you and then hand it to you to place the cream cheese on it. I love the bagels and the pastries here. Wish they would bring back the shortbread cookie. Cannot go wrong with the atmosphere and staff who were helpful and wonderful. KC at the front welcomed with a warm smile and told us about the new entrees. What is most memorable about this Panera is that most of the employees and managers recognize regulars and even remember our names. I want to mention Alisha as she always goes out of her way to greet me and others warmly. I primarily go to Panera for their coffee club. For approximately $12 a month, it provides unlimited regular teas. coffees (not expresso or lattes) and other unlimited beverages. It's a great way to start my day with a fresh hot cup of coffee.
