Ended up here after having a little too much "Mary J" and seeing their commercial on TV, and honestly... best decision of the night. First time trying this place and I was impressed right away. The restaurant was clean, the vibe was good, and Isabella (according to the receipt) was super friendly and patient while my indecisive self stared at the menu for 10 minutes. She recommended a few items and told me to try the Mozz at medium heat. I ordered the Dave's #3 and the Not Chicken #3, and both were absolutely fire. I'm really excited to have a new chicken place on the Southwest side of town, and Dave's Hot Chicken (and its brightly painted exterior) is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. This is a fast casual spot with fair prices and good food. A couple of things I really didn't like about this place. First, there is very limited seating. For a restaurant that has a large space, they need to have about twice as many tables. We had to walk around with our trays of food trying to find a spot to sit to eat. Our food grew increasingly cold until we finally found a place. Second, they have one of those dreaded "it's going to ask you a question" tip screens. This felt particularly offensive here for several reasons. One, you place your own order, pick up your own food, and clean your own table. So, uh, what am I tipping you for? Also, the tables were very dirty, but they do provide a pack of cleaning wipes that you can use to clean your own table. Again, no way I'm tipping for that! I opted for the chicken sandwich with fries. All of the ingredients were high quality, from the soft and fresh bun (it had that perfect "squish" to it) to the tangy slaw and excellent pickles, I have zero complains on the taste of my meal. The sandwich was plenty big, and the side of fries was large too. I think you could share a meal here, especially if you got the slider and tenders combo. As someone with an aversion to spicy food, I ordered the mild spice. The flavor was excellent, but I could honestly have withstood a little more heat. I think I'll move up a notch or two on the scale next time I go. I really loved the seasoning and spice on the crinkle cut fries, it elevated them from being just plain old boring fried potatoes. Flavor-wise and quality-wise, Dave's is one of the better chicken joints in town. Parking is free and easy and the food is fairly priced for the quality and portion size. Just add some more seating and take away that annoying tip screen and it would be a solid 4 star place. read more

Edit: I just found out we're also missing 5 sauces we paid extra for that are supposed to go with the flight of saucy bites as well as the "cutlery kit" and "napkins" we added to our order. If it happens to you just charge it back because they also don't pick up their phones after numerous attempts. Edit #2: reached out to customer service as instructed and the representative tried to offer me a voucher 3 times ($15, $20, then $30), but I declined each time because every single one of them were of lower value than what my losses are. If you're in Vegas and love hot chicken, Dave's Hot Chicken is definitely worth stopping by. The chicken is consistently crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. You can really tell they've dialed in their seasoning and heat levels -- whether you're going mild or pushing into the extra hot territory, it still tastes good and not just "spicy for the sake of spicy." I personally got mild, and it still had great flavor with just enough kick. From a business standpoint, Dave's feels like it's following a success path similar to Raising Cane's -- focused menu, strong branding, fast service, and a cult-like following. Honestly though, I think Dave's is better than Cane's. The flavor is stronger, the vibe is more energetic, and the music is louder, which gives it more personality. Now, about the shakes: I'll be real -- they're mid. Not terrible, but not amazing either. However, adding cereal definitely helps and gives the shake more flavor and texture, so that's the move if you order one. Overall: great chicken, strong brand, better vibe than Cane's, and a spot I'd recommend if you're craving something flavorful and satisfying. We ordered the 4 piece mini sliders medium spicy which come with pickles and Daves sauce 4/5 and the Dave's #1 meal - 2 tenders on toast with seasoned fries medium spicy 5/5. Absolutely delicious !!! Dave's Hot Chicken has opened another location on S Rainbow Bivd (right off the exit from 215 west) . We have tried several different menu items: a chicken sandwich, Dave's bites, loaded fries and the chicken strips and everything was tasty. The flavors are on point, excellent spice, excellent crunch, great coleslaw. I also liked the sauce with it . The crinkle cut fries is very tasty too. You get to select how spicy you want the chicken, we got it lite mild which was perfect, not too spicy ,but not bland either. My wife likes it "no spice " and it is perfectly seasoned as well and chicken tenders are so juicy and perfectly crispy, not dry. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. They are very attentive and helpful. We have met the manager and she is so nice, friendly and customer oriented. The atmosphere is very vibrant, cool and inviting. The restaurant is clean and very nice, also very spacious. It is beautifully decorated with colorful graffiti art. Very Instagramable!!! Highly recommended!!!
