Due to location, I tend to have a lot of meetings here. The service is standard, the food is good but expensive for what you get. This location is one of the few that still gives counter service as well as those stupid time consuming kiosk ordering systems without seeming "put out" or "pushing" the system. I wish they had more than one green tea option that isn't pre-sweetened but that's a personal thing. It's a solid 3 for me. So sad to leave a bad review because the food is good but the the price for what you get is very inconsistent and expensive. I really like the chicken walnut salad sandwich but like today when I ordered a half sandwich I got a whole lot of bread and a apple for SIX DOLLARS ! I kid you not there wasn't even enough on the bread to taste it. It was maybe a small teaspoon. Enough for a cracker. I went to the mgr on duty and showed her thinking she would say .. on my yes let me fix that for you but instead I got " yes that is the correct amount for a half sandwich " ! I said you have to be kidding ? She straight faced said no not kidding. I said that has to be embarrassing to serve that as a sandwich. This is probably my most favorite place to eat! I try something new every time and I am never disappointed with what I get. I have been coming back for more things to try. This location is very friendly and clean. The staff is very nice and willing to serve you. They also offer free pastry for your birthday, if you are a signed up member. You earn points from your purchases, towards your next meal. So it's worth it, if you come frequently. Plenty of choices to choose from for drinks, like different tea's. They offer sandwiches, soup, and salads. They also have pastries to try. Everything is fresh, and the size of the portions is not small. They also offer catering options for business and individuals. But today I ordered 4 bowls of soup and they contained about 1/4 cup total of noodles and chicken the rest was all broth. I always forget about this location as an option for salads and sandwiches. Went here for the Grilled Cheese with Bacon and Tomato soup. The soup was great. The sandwich was good also, I just never really found the bacon!! In my opinion it is not a Grilled Cheese and Bacon with bits of bacon, it should have strips or large pieces that you get in every bite. Cookies are always good. And there bakery offers many options. Had the worst sandwich I've ever eaten and the soup was ok. How do you serve a sandwich with soggy bread when it was just made? Why put quarter chunks of avocado on a sandwich? Slice it over the sandwich.... The steak and blue cheese salads was horrible too. My daughter barely ate it and she usually can eat the whole small bowl. The tomato soup was ok. I ordered off the Pick Two menu. I ordered the roasted turkey, apple, and cheddar sandwich and a side of creamy tomato soup. Nowhere on the menu did it say the sandwich was basically a salad on bread. The store was out of tomato soup, baguettes, and spring rolls during a "dinner rush." I'm sitting in the Paradise Bakery at Mesa Gateway Airport and it's awful! The 20 somethings that work here are giving young people a bad name. Sluggish, grumpy, no smiles or "good morning". They look like they hate their jobs. They've got it made for customers since we are captive with only about two places to choose from here. No rhyme or reason to ordering...we wait until they are finished chatting with coworkers. Trash overflowing, out of creamer at condiment counter. They look like they'd benefit from some of that coffee they're selling..but..oh yea...just RAN OUT...have to wait for them to make some more. read more

Amazing experience at Panera this morning. The manager, Stephanie, went out of her way to make my day! So thankful for her fab customer service and great attitude! Walked in to order my food in the middle of me ordering some cranky Karen who worked there walked up to me and the cashier and asked me to pull my mask up all the way up my nose. Not only was she rude about it but she cut me off in the middle of ordering. I would've been happy to do it but her attitude was so ugly I ignored her. There a way to ask people things and saying " can you pull your mask up thank you" in a demanding tone is not it. Food as it should be? I don't think so. I picked up dinner for my family on a Friday night for something quick and easy. I am not a huge fan of Panera and miss Paradise Bakery, but my boys received certificates from their school for a free meal. I ordered 4 meals total, only 1/2 were edible. The turkey on my sandwich had an odd texture and was very wet, almost like it had been soaking in a liquid all day. Do I want dry turkey? Of course not. But wet turkey is a little strange. The real issue was with my son's grilled cheese sandwich (pic included). The cheese was burnt, rock hard, and so old the top piece of bread wouldn't stick to it. It was cold and I'm pretty sure was made the day before (or earlier in the week, ew). The meal was free, yes, but we expected a meal, not fake plastic food you used to see on dessert trays in restaurants years ago. Do yourself a favor and don't visit this location. read more

I'm extremely frustrated with this location. I can't tell you how many times I've come in- in the morning and wanted bagels and there are only a few left of varieties I don't care for,. It's 9:30 AM it's not like I'm here right at 11 . They obviously make an order each day and that's it. I've been told - well somebody came in and ordered four dozen bagels. This is the fourth time I've come in and the situation has happened. I didn't think I needed to get to a bakery store by 6 AM in order to get bagels! The staff is nice it's not their fault. Management here sucks, or this wouldn't happen Over and over! I'm sure the owner loves it as it saves on their bottom line. I'll take my business somewhere else. read more

I love the Panera next to my work in Chandler! Unfortunately this one is not good. Food was alright but there was no where to sit!! Literally every open table was dirty. Even the tables without dishes and that appeared to be cleaned weren't wiped clean. Parking is also horrible in the area. My suggestion is to make the drive to another Panera or go to Kneaders down the street. read more

Me and my husband come to this one often in the morning for a coffee since it is in the same complex as where we work. I rarely leave reviews, I can count on one hand the amount of times I have, however the style of customer service today was such a letdown it made me feel ashamed to have worked for this company previously. 4:30, during my lunch, I went to buy two cookies for us as a treat during our 10 hour shift. Not only was the cashier, Savanah, apparently more interested in speaking with the gentlemen who worked there going on break, I was given the wrong food after both of us varying what the other had said. And was on my receipt correctly. When I returned a little before 8 to fix it because my husband couldn't have that particular cookie, I waited over ten minutes to be served and not a word spoken to me by the cashier or the manager, tall gentleman with dark hair, who saw me standing there while the two couples in front were deciding what to order. I love Panera food, but this has to be the worst store in the franchise. Very poorly managed to say the least. Every time I go there for breakfast the store is lit, sign says open, but doors are locked and no one inside. With Village Inn, McDonalds, Chick-Fil-A, and others close by, open and ready to serve, I cant see this store staying in business much longer. Textbook ordinary. I ordered the Pick Two and got the Greek salad and French onion soup as it was pictured in the menu and looked delicious. Needless to say, what was delivered to the table looked nothing like the picture. The 'Greek salad' consisted of a bowl of lettuce with a sprinkle of feta cheese, 4 olives and a few tomato wedges. This is not a Greek salad! The French onion soup didn't have any submerged bread or cheese on top... just a cup or dark broth. On the upside, I like the ambiance here. Good styling. Nice noise level. Worse experience ever at this Panera. My husband went in for 6 bagels bread sliced. This is a common request for all Panera, but this place is unlike all others that I have been to from Indiana to Missouri to California. When he stated he would like them bread sliced, they cut them in half. He told them that was not how he ordered them and ask them to make it right. So what do they do, they bread slice the ones they halved and poured both kinds in a bag together and handed it to him. I couldn't believe they would be so bold as to give such mess to a customer. They came out from the kitchen to dbl ck on me for specifics on my allergies and were in general the nicest group of people I have had an interaction with as a whole in the restaurant industry in some time. Right! Went to paradise Bakery this morning while dropping our dog of at the vet's office. I brought home the Spinach quiche, quiche muffin and the Beligian waffel w/ strawberries to share with my husband. I must say, the quiche was DELISIOUS!!! The waffel was just ok because they left off the whipped cream. That's the best part! Anyhoo, try the quiche, it's wonderful. For that, they earn another Star! read more

This place is AMAZING. My mom and I went recently and were in awe of all the great, healthy choices! I got a small salad, and it was NOT small - GREAT portions!
