Worst experience I've ever had at a Panera. Where to start. 1. There were like 4-5 transient people outside of the store and the outside tables were dirty and covered in trash. 2. They were running the deal where you can get any bakery item for $.99 so I opted to get a dinner entree and a kitchen sink cookie. When I ordered I was told that is the only bakery item you can't get, but that's not what is advertised and other locations do it. 3. I asked if they could warm the cookie and was directed to a public microwave, again the two locations by my house both will warm the cookie. I usually frequent this place at least 3 times a week and get the same sandwich which is chicken panini which I customize at the kiosk. They never fail me with the quality of my sandwich they are delicious but today was a huge fail!! I waited a very long time for a sandwich and when I received it I was furious. They put together my sandwich like a 5 year old. I keep calling them and no answer all day. They forget some ingredients and burned my bread. Came in today for the Pick 2 option to go, and they forgot to put my sandwich in the bag. Pick 2 literally means 2 items, and they forget one of the two?? I don't like giving ratings like this but it was necessary. I ordered from this Panera for delivery through the Panera app.My items were never delivered. They told me they couldn't do anything about it since doordash delivered it for them. I contacted doordash and they said Panera would refund me my $30 which they never did. They get 2 stars because it's covid. Ok first off, I ordered breakfast from them a few weeks ago and Uber eats delivered it with missing food. I called and the manager explained that everything was in the bag and she packed it herself. So it was blamed on the driver who delivered the food. I had a disappointing experience in this location, I've always seen great customer service in all the Panera's that I visited but in this location the employee in the register didn't even bother to ask me if I needed help with my order. I was having a hard time with the kiosk and there weren't any other customers other that me. Also when I left the store my order was missing all utensils. What is the point of a company having online ordering if you can't place an order at 2 in the afternoon the day before and be reasonably assured that the order is going to be ready? I haven't been here in a long time and I always forget why I don't come to this location, until I get my order...Came in at 8:47am on a Wednesday, and they were out of souffles...which caused one customer to yell complaints that sounded like this was normal...and stormed out. Got two breakfast sandwiches for me and my bf...took awhile. Saddest sandwiches ever. OH YEAH, THIS IS WHY I DONT COME HERE. Tasted OK but Egg McMuffins have more product. Ordered a caffe mocha coffee...was pretty gross. It tasted like somebody put skim milk in watered down coffee with some chocolate syrup.¹ He ordered a black coffee, which they were out of and only offered flavored coffee is which he doesn't like. To make it more unappetizing, the clerk behind the counter was not wearing her hair net. The cook had her hair styled, to where strands were hanging around her face outside of her hat, on purpose. I went to this branch this am around 10:15 am no one was in the counter when I arrived Customers are lined up in their kiosk. Later a guy in blue polo rolled up sleeves came out from the kitchen with an unhappy face did not even bother to ask me if I have been helped .I presumed his the manager today. Around 1020 a lady came out and finally asked me if I have been helped . She still has her bag. No apron. I said No and she asked me if I am paying cash or card . I said card and she told me to use the kiosk and when I looked back the line was quiet long. I left in a hurry to get to another restaurant deserving of my business. My business is very close to this location so we (three of us) order once or twice a week online. Never had any problem with other Panera locations, but this one is something else. Hardly an order that is correct. Ask for extra dressing, it's not there. Ask to omit certain items off a sandwich, it's there. Whoever runs this place does not deserve the position. They don't pay attention to the details. We got to the point of betting that what Panera will screw up. Get it together, please. Your food deserves better. Marla the manager is a ROCK STAR! I had an issue today with my rapid pick up order, and she was very kind, respectful, apologetic, and offered me an immediate solution with several options. She said, "What works for you?" Incredible customer service. I love that Panera offers Rapid Pick Up. I can place my order in the app and run right in (usually at 6 am) and pick up my food from the pick up window. Food: So I think it's safe to say, the soups is where this place makes itself separate from others. I usually crave a bread bowl now and then, and when I do I come here. Broccoli Cheddar is my fav. Sandwiches are average, nothing you'll drool over. Mac n cheese is pretty solid as well. Just wish the sandwiches were taken a little more serious, which could really make this place scary good. Service: Its more of a drop your food off and leave you alone spot which I can appreciate. The type of food you get you wouldn't need service for and the drinks are served via machine so you can get your own, so no stars for the service here. Ambiance: It's usually not crazy packed, but a nice enough place where you can go eat a salad or soup and it feels good to eat there. People tend to either be alone on a laptop or a small business meeting. They have an outside sitting area as well for cool nights. Overall: if you ever want soup and a sandwich. Here's your place. Hello! Let me start off by saying I'm not one to complain but I've been to both of your Riverside location and I must say both are extremely nasty! Whenever I go into either location, the tables ALWAYS are dirty...the tables need to be wiped all the time, the area where drinks are, continues to look messing...I honestly surprised the heath department hasn't given both location a B rating. Just today I was given utensils that were dirty... if it's this nasty upfront I couldn't imagine what it looks like behind the scenes. My last two purchases here have been stellar. Last week I walked in and bought lunch for my staff, I was running late but they rallied and got a dozen sandwiches out the door, individually packaged and labeled, kept me updated on their progress and got me back on schedule. This morning I needed 3 traveler coffees ASAP, I caught an employee going in, they got them going before they even opened so that I could stay on schedule. I love the egg souffles at Panera bread. But every time I go in they are done cooking for the day. Now I am not talking about late. Usually before 10:00 am. Today it was 9:40 and all of the souffles were gone. I am done with Panera's. I am generally a Corner Bakery Type girl but today we had a serious case of the broccoli soup craving. So, the four year old and I stopped for a soup break. The wait was pretty long. Long enough that I was getting close to irritated. When our food arrived it was delivered by a lady with a smile who offered us cookies because of our wait. And then the manager came and checked on us and made a deal with the 4 year old to finish his food. The customer service was fantastic. The type of place they probably remember the regulars. The food was good. Sandwich tasted fresh with not too much sauce or artificial flavors. And the broccoli soup hit the spot! read more
