Order was ready. Ordered 3 small mac and cheeses to go. When we got home and opened them up they were 1/4 filled- No joke. My wife called them to follow up. They basically told her "Sorry they're pre packed and pre made and "there is nothing we can do". Each item cost 6.39. It was Not even enough for a 9 year old to eat. Ended up making three children more food. Big waste. Shame on Panera!!!!! read more

So I ordered rapid curbside pickup. I was waiting for a while so I called and the woman said I could come in to pick up. I told her I had two kids in the car that's why I did curbside. she said they were busy and I had to wait. Guess what? not coming back here again and if you want curbside plan for wait. This Panera in Rockville Center was terrible !! Bathroom was dirty roll dispenser was broken on the-floor and big roll laying on the dirty floor ! Who wants to use dirty toilet paper then! Told the worker she went in! I went back as i had a three hour trip home, lady next to me hurt her foot because the dispenser crashed down on her foot! Food was nit the sane wet wilted lettuce, husband had a soda it was diet! They put diet in because they ran out if regular !!! Omg who does that! They were very slow too! As far as fast food sandwiches spots are concerned, Panera's easily the best. Even the comparable Cosi, which seems to be a Manhattan exclusive, doesn't hold a candle to the food at Panera. Sure, It's a little on the pricey side if you're used to getting your used to getting your sandwiches at your local deli, but it's not without good reason. The ingredients are fresh and the service is friendly. Not to mention the wifi is free. There's a Starbucks and Quiznos on the next block, but I'd never think of going there instead. read more

Though the food is good, this particular branch is dirty. The girl, and I do mean GIRL, that was taking the order couldn't even get the order right. When I told the food prep kid, again I literally mean KID, that the order was messed up, he threw a little hissy fit. The service got a little better since my nightmare experience 2 years ago. I swore I'd never go back but its been 2 years and some therapy and I took the plunge and finally decided to return . Let me tell you my tale . 2 years ago I walked in this Panera Bread for dinner with the family . We ordered some hot sandwiches and I order my bread well toasted . Well this clown of an employee barely toasted my bread . Couldn't see his name because his name tag was upside down and his hat was crooked . I politely asked him i wanted my bread toasted . So he toasted the bread until it was so burnt it was black and practically turned to ashes when exposed to light . When I complained to him he removed his apron and told me to come back here and make the damn sandwich. I was shocked said " I never!!!" . he replied "with your attitude I can see why".....I almost fainted .I told this kid I should go behind the counter and teach him some respect. He said if I came back there he'd slap the taste out of my mouth and the burnt bread wouldn't bother me . I demanded from his manager to fire him immediately . The clown got so upset he quit . Satisfied that he will not be working there I left . Apparently he was waiting for me in the parking lot and almost ran me over with his little red sports car . I think it was a Honda . Really like this place a lot, a go to spot on Sunday's for us when we don't feel like going to regular brunch. Park in the back in the crowded lot, can be tough to get a spot sometimes. Inside, there's usually not a ton of seating, although were sometimes able to grab a booth for the two of us; I always go with my wife. Recently went and got a you pick two special, which is good as you can try a combo of soup, salad, or sandwich. I had the Italian combo and strawberry chicken salad, both were pretty good. I usually go for just the signature turkey chili in a large bread bowl, but it was too hot the day I went and I wasn't in the mood for soup. However, that is my go to. My wife loves the squash soup and the Cobb salad, she always raves about it. We usually eat in the restaurant, but sometimes we place an order online and pick up. It's nice that they have a pick up stand where you can just run in and grab your order. One annoying thing about this place, the menu is above the checkout register, and the second you get to the front and are looking at the menu, deciding what you want to eat, they instantly ask you if you're ready to order. Happens every time, without fail. We purposely try to stand far away from the counter and look up at the menu, trying to make it clear were not ready yet. Yet every time they call over to us, are you ready? Duh, I'm not. Almost everything I've had here is pretty good, and I always go for a baguette on the side. The baked goods and bagels are great too, as are the frozen drinks and special soft drinks. I really like the lemonade and acai berry iced tea, get one of the two every time. This place is great for quick good quality eats. On the one hand it's nice that they give you real silverware and plates or bowls, but is annoying to have to separate and clean off all the stuff near the trash can. read more

I love this location. The work space as well as the recreational areas are alway neat and clean. I am always served with a smile and spoken to in a professional matter. The manager is always somewhere to be seen or found on short notice. I have seen him working side by side with his staff on my many visits. The staff is always welcoming from start to finish. The soups and sandwiches typically taste good but today was second time in a month my takeout order was missing something. First time no bacon in the bacon mac. This time no breadbowl was included. This is honestly my favorite Panera. Since it's pretty large, there is always a lot of seating (Plenty of booths, woohoo!) I've visited the Panera in Massapequa Park and Deere Park- although they are good, they is just no comparison for some reason. This Panera, being in the heart of RVC, is so convenient to grab a bite before a movie so you don't spend $50 on popcorn and candy. Their service is always speedy even when it's crazy crowded and it's never really that loud. But what I love most about the Panera chain is that they donate all of their unused baked goods to Island Harvest in lieu of throwing out perfectly good food! read more

One of the nicer Panera restaurants in the area. A lot of "road warriors" catching up on e-mail and phone calls before hitting the road. Coffee was fresh mid-morning, they did a good job keeping up with it. Parking lot behind the restaurant is $1.50 for two hours, but keep an eye out because an expired meter will cost you 35 bucks. Minus one star for small number of outlets available to charge devices. read more

Your typical Panera lost two stars for two reasons. First reason, they kept asking if I was ready to order. Please don't rush me. Not only that no one behind me were ready. We were all standing AWAY from the counter. Second reason, the bathroom wasn't clean. My mother always said don't eat food from someone whose kitchen and bathroom is dirty. Well the kitchen was clean but the bathroom could use some work. Like every other teenage foodie on a weekly budget, I LOVE Panera Bread. I don't love finding a parking spot and on top of that, having to pay for that spot! I circle the lot at least twice 1 out of 3 times I go to this Panera. By noon it's packed so my odds of getting a booth are slim. On the upside, the employees run service fairly quick and are very kind. My cheddar and broccoli soup infatuation will have me circling that lot as long as I live on Long Island. read more

Great place for breakfast. Bagels are average but breakfast sandwiches are good. My favorites are pumpkin or cranberry orange muffins. Tried the recently introduced pizza. Has the consistency of a bad frozen pizza. With a number of really good pizza spots nearby, suggest one of them if you want pizza. read more

The new Cuban Chicken Panini is delicious, and I like to pair it with the French Onion Soup with the You Pick Two deal, which I think is excellent. Every time I go I get the PICK 2 and I always leave satisfied and full! The asian salad is great, the dressing is perfect. I enjoy getting the broccoli cheddar soup and what's even better is getting it in a bread bowl. (I mean, if a bread bowl full of broccoli cheddar soup isn't comfort food, than I don't know what is!) They even have this soup that was like a chicken stew, it was so tasty, felt like a chicken pot pie! It seems like this location can fill up really quickly at lunch and especially on the weekends. I think some of the items can be pricey, but the PICK 2 is the best deal they have since your soup comes with bread and the sandwich comes with chips or an apple. I love Panera and have been coming here for years and a frequent rewards panera card member. But I don't know if they just recently hired incompetent people or what but the staff who were making the food really ruined my night. First there was a hair in my soup. Second they put spice in my mother's sandvwich when we told them not to and after they said they'd fix it we waited 10 minutes later they hadn't changed her sandwhich and we had to remind them and not once did we get an apology. I feel disgusted by the way the employees treated us. I doubt I'll ever come back if I have to deal with rude jerks. I'll be going to Merrick panera instead. The girl who served us was just miserable and unprofessional. I hope the managing staff realize the bad impression their employees are leaving. read more

Super disappointed in this Panera. I wish I could give this zero stars. First of all, I open my salad and there is a brown moist piece of something indeterminable in my meal. I'm not sure what it was but it was disgusting. Then, I realize that on top of that, they got my order wrong and charged me for items that I ordered in my salad (chicken and avocado) THAT THEY DIDNT PUT IN THE SALAD! One time my boyfriend and his friends were seated in a booth by the floor to ceiling windows, when a roving horde of prepubescent tweens stopped by and made "I love you" hands signs and other suggestive gestures towards my bf. Asides from this isolated event, this particular Panera Bread consistently offered some good experiences. This is a decent Panera Bread that is sizable, neat, and pleasing to the eyes. The booths are big and spacious and there are several tables throughout the place. It has a welcoming pleasant atmosphere with a warm and pretty interior that you won't find in most chain places. Service is solid, the food is constructed at an acceptable pace, and the food is not bad. The soda fountain is on the side so you can get free refills. If you have change parking is not a problem as you can park in the metered lot across the street. This Panera is at a great location, in walking distance to the movie theatre, bars, and other great businesses of RVC. read more

Typically I avoid chains and franchises, especially for sangwiches. Yes I said sangwiches. That's how I say sandwich, come at me bro. Quiznos/Subway/Etc. will never stack up against a good deli. That being said, I can make an exception for Panera. Their bread is good, their meat is decent quality, portions and prices are appropriate. Their iced green tea is really good too. My go to menu items are the asiago steak sangwich, Thai chicken salad, chicken Caesar, or the chicken hummus power bowl. Panera's baked goods look great, but the calorie counts tend to scare me away. Every time I'm about to order one, I hear Arnold Swarzenegger's voice in my head yelling PUT THE COOKIE DOWN!!! Anyway, Panera is a viable lunch option in RVC if you're looking to eat and run. read more

Bread is terrible at this location. The bread on the side is the KEY to Panera. Especially if you get salads or soup- BREAD side must be phenomenal. This was only my 2nd time at Panera. The first time, I wasn't inpressed, however, I didn't know the menu and ordered items I didn't like. The 2nd time, which was tonight, was so much better. Portions were smaller than usual in the you pick two (especially salad), and restaurant was unclean the two times I came here. Food is not great. Salad lettuce has been wilted quite a few times - it is obvious that it is not fresh. They give out brown avocado's when you order AND the chicken is always chewy!!! The only good thing about this place is the bagels. The employees could be more attentive; they seem miserable to be there! read more
