Originally a great place, but quality of both service and food is quickly degrading. Online ordering so far failed in all attempts (five total) - items were either not available, not ready on arrival or not prepared correctly (e.g. bread is not sliced). Employees have very little training and don't know their what they're selling (e.g. "rye miche doesn't exist - you can get either rye loaf or white miche"). I enjoy eating at Panera, particularly their soups in bread bowls. This particular one was out of bread bowls before lunch time in the middle of the week. Located exactly a minute or 2 away from my office. I love how this Panera is just so convenient, it was my first time trying Panera and they def didn't disappoint! All their food seems so fresh and so full of flavor. This particular location has just great customer service. Employees are so nice, always smiling and the food is out within seconds! I can be in and out of here in less than 10 minutes! I love their Four Cheese Souffles, so far I've been coming by every morning just to get one. Another plus about Panera is that they have this rewards card.. that give you free things, so far I got a Dollar off a beverage purchase and a free pastry. The toffee nut cookies are great, soft, and their frozen caramel is really good too! Parking isn't so bad here unless its lunch hour, as far as the mornings def easy to get a good spot. I say this Panera is def. worth the trip, you will not get disappointed! I can't wait to see what my next reward will be :) read more

We ordered two small salads with rapid pickup. When we picked up the food, they were really small, not like what we usually get. When I went to talk to the manager, she argued that it is the correct size. I gave up and said that's fine. Other times if they make mistakes, other managers handle it immediately and apologize. When I told Diana I was going to write a bad review, she said "ok, thank you". Terrible customer service and portions are too small for the money (at least today). read more

ILY PANERA BREAD! Alright, so the sandwiches aren't exactly a steal in regards to pricing (~$7-$8 range) and not exactly the humongous portions ever, but honestly. Their Frontrera Chicken panini is warm, grilled, crispy, with the perfect blend of cheese, basil, tomatoes, and just spoils you after a cool evening of shopping. The service here was pleasant, I got my to-go order in about 5 minutes, and the selection of pastries (muffies!!!) are just too cute. The only point that detracts from the overall PB experience would be the larger portions of bread they sell, and their unwillingness to cut the portions down to fit each customer's desires. This place is a hit or miss. My family and I come to this location a few times a month. It's usually clean when we come. The food we order has missing ingredients almost every other time we order. Sometimes the freshness is also questionable. Most of the time we order a kids meal and add a milk, they forget to bring the milk. During a recent visit they forgot to add bacon to our Cobb salad and tried to pull a fast one on our frozen mocha. What's a frozen mocha with no ice or whip cream? They tried to tell us the ice separated from the rest of the drink but with the majority of the drink "melted" we weren't convinced. We still had them make us a new frozen mocha which came to us with caramel sauce instead of chocolate. Hmm... read more

I frequent Panera Bread quite often. They're consistent and I know what I'm ordering. This location was the exception. After spending $70 on food, waiting over half an hour to receive it, every single person's order in my group was messed up. Most of the orders did not include the sides, the chicken was omitted--out of a chicken sandwich--and I noticed people leaving in haste because they waited too long, their orders were not ready, and they had to leave. Finally, the staff and management seemed unduly perplexed when we requested our orders, as though asking for chicken, in the chicken sandwich exceeded their brain capacity. I didn't want to explode any more of their brain cells so I didn't bother asking for all the other food we ordered which they didn't bother bringing out. Absolutely horrible. Love this Panera. My son loves to come here for a mommy-son lunch date and I happily drive him all the way down here because 1. it's better than the Mountain View Panera which is closer to us and 2. CBTL is in the same parking lot and hello we all know I love CBTL!! ;) Anyhoo, back to my review. Friendly staff! Yummy food and good prices. We always get the pick 2 combo. He gets the smoked turkey on country bread. The turkey has delicious flavor and the bread is so fresh and soft! and I get the cobb salad with avocado (no egg because hard boiled eggs at restaurants creep me out!) It comes with a half of salad in the combo and it's big! Full of fresh ingredients like tomatoes, avocado and crisp lettuce. The salad also has little bacon pieces and blue cheese (I think it's blue cheese...don't quote me on this ;) haha check the menu to confirm what cheese it is.) the moral of the story is, it's good food. quality ingredients and a good price. I usually come here for lunch during my workday. I order the broccoli cheddar soup with the bread bowl and an apple on the side usually. It's actually pretty good and fills me up sufficiently. The price was adequate. The only problem I've ever had with this location of Panera is that they have messed up twice on my Chai tea latte...after I had specifically said that I wanted my drink cold. They made my drink hot. But that's only happened twice. They offered to remake my drink because the second time that happened, I decided to let them know that this has happened. They were really kind in offering, however, I was in a hurry to return to work and it would have been inconvenient and a little awkward to wait around for them to remake my drink. I will still eat here, though, but will probably make a better attempt at communicating the drink ordered is cold. The food is always delicious whenever I go and I cannot complain. Female cashier is extremely rude and unhelpful. I asked a simple question about the menus and apparently after I turned away my coworkers saw her roll her eyes at me. And the boy running the foods to the tables wasn't much better. I just wanted to check my food order before he dropped it in front of me and he kind of snapped at me telling me it was the right order. And then gave me attitude when he asked for the pager back. I've never received this level poor of customer service at any other Panera before, it's too bad because I really use to like Panera, no desire to go back now. read more

I haven't had the Fuji Apple Chicken salad for a while and needed a quick bite for lunch. I'm sorry I did! Salads are supposed to be fresh! I took it to go and when I opened the salad at my desk I was unpleasantly surprised. It looked like something that's been sitting for a while. Then to make things worst, I'm having to run to the bathroom 2 hours later. The bay area has some great food for only a couple dollars more. I won't be returning to Panera EVER again. read more

Can I give less than 1 star? I can not begin to express my disappointment. The service at your bakery today # 204481 was awful. From items that were not in my catering order, to my order being combined (I placed 3 large orders and expected them to come as 3 items not combined) to the rudeness of the acting a manager and then the franchise store manager Stephanie to customer care not giving me any resolution, neither the store or customer care offered to get the items out to me. All of these people need a lesson in customer resolution. All you need to do is say a few simple words, I am sorry, how can I help, lets get this taken care or this is what we can do. I did not need a lecture on how to place an order and if you felt I needed one maybe resolve the problem and fix the fact that you didn't complete my order and then follow with in the future if you could please........ Please Panera, teach your employees some simple rules in customer service. As an Event manager I will be sure not to count on them in the future. read more

I'd like to give it a 5-star rating but the WiFi kinda sucks here. Perhaps we get spoiled around here (and maybe I'm being lame!) but it's way too slow. Otherwise it's a wonderful place. Hey, maybe I should have left the bad bit until the end....the staff are all very nice and the food is awesome. It gets a bit crazy around the middle of the day (with all the office workers), but outside those times it's pretty relaxed. You can always find a seat and the service is quick. The outdoor seating needs to be seen to be believed. I've never seen anything so nice at a place like Panera. I cannot wait for the warmer weather! read more

Not a great place for vegetarians. They make their vegetarian salads in the same utensils as the meat salads. I found a piece of meat in my Greek salad more than once. When I brought it to their attention, they did not offer any remedy other than that's how they do it. read more

I have a complaint but first I have to say that I'm a loyal Panera fan. Panera's food is almost always well prepared and healthy (if you make the right choices, which are many), and their service is great. Compared with most other restaurants out there, Panera is my first choice. My complaint is one I could make for many other restaurants and fast food place: TOO MUCH PACKAGING. I have to remind the staff every time I get a pastry to-go that I don't need it in a cellophane windowed box with a knife and fork and a wad of napkins in a paper bag. When I remember to ask, I ask for only a tissue. All of that other stuff is just landfill. So, please, everyone, tell them you want minimal packaging when you get to-go orders. By the way, if you haven't tried the Thai Chicken Salad -- try it. read more

I love Panera's food however, very disappointed on when I receive my to go orders they are never correct. I will order a salad and they will forget the dressing or the avocado...or order a sand which and the bacon is left off. This location has done this to me several times now which is unfortunate cause its on my way home of a long commute and like i said I really enjoy their menu. I feel I am already paying a high price for the food and to not get what I ordered is just upsetting. =( read more

This was one of the worst experience at a location. The service was horrible and the person that was making a sandwich didn't know the menu. I ordered a sandwich toasted with no mayo with turkey lettuce tomato and avocado. When I receive the order there was no turkey on it it just was bread lettuce tomato and avocado. When they remade the sandwich it came back with the wrong turkey that originally comes with the sandwich and she had put mustard on it not only mustard but spicy mustard which I don't care for. When I told her that the order was messed up again she argued with me about what I had ordered which I thought was extremely rude. She had to have another lady come back and make the sandwich was I felt I didn't understand why there was such a big issue. Whenever see if the sandwich for the last time the lettuce had been posted along with the sandwich which it made it will tag along with the tomatoes. I definitely would recommend whoever orders here to check your order before leaving no matter what. This location definitely needs to work on their customer service and how they approach things.
