Out of most sandwich toppings, pizzas were made incorrectly, and nobody cares what's going on in there. Not going back until there is a change in management. After getting my order home I wish I could give a zero. This was the worst meal I have ever had in the 20 years I have been eating at Panera. When I tried to order an egg soufflé on my PANERA app, it showed that they were out of stock. So I called to see if I can order it by phone. I called and got to the automated recording and it said to press "4" to make a non catering order. I pressed "4" and spoke with Alyssa. She stated to me they do not take phone orders and I simply said "well, you guys need to change your automated recording message because it states to press "4" for a non catering order and which I pressed "4" and I got to you". I explained to her that the egg soufflés were out of stock on the PANERA app and I asked her if I can order one over the phone with her to pick it up. She then states again that they don't take phone orders and added to say that they only take phone orders for catering. I asked her if the egg soufflés were still available and she stated they stop making them at 10:00 AM. I told her it was 9:30 AM and that they should be still making more and that I am allowed to order the egg soufflés because it's not past 10:00 AM yet! Man, the lack of customer service from her!! When you're in customer service you go above and beyond. I wasn't even asking her to do anything out of ordinary from her job tasks and she was not willing to even take a phone order, even after I explained the APP situation. WOW!! Alyssa obviously didn't know what time it was. She was just cold and not eager to help me or take my order. I have a feeling PANERA is not going to change their automated system and I would be surprised if they did. I asked Alyssa if she can check to see if they can still order an egg soufflé for me so she put me on hold and came back on the line stating she will just order if for me.... WOW!! I'm thinking we're making progress here!! I shouldn't have to ask her to check, she should have just offered. Again, lack of customer service! Since I felt that I was inconveniencing her, I ordered 2 egg soufflés and who knows when I'll have another one of these because of their service here. She said she will have them ready for me to pick up. I gave them plenty of time (15 mins) before I picked up my order. When I arrived I stated I was there to pick up my order and the gal had no idea of what was going on. I mentioned I spoke with Alyssa and that Alyssa was going to have my order ready. When Alyssa rang me up, there were no "Hi, Good morning, I'm sorry or I'm sorry for any confusion". I got nothing. Instead I just paid and left to the dining area. Also, I noticed that Alyssa didn't put any of the egg soufflés into a small PANERA box like they normally do to keep the food fresh and warm. I went back upfront and they seemed all busy so I asked a man in a burgundy shirt (Manager) for a small box to put my egg soufflé in and I ate the other one on site. The ordering website didn't seem to be working - except that it charged the credit card multiple times. The order was missing several items. Went to pick up a sandwich and salad. I waited 45 minutes watching people come in and out. 45 minutes for a sandwich and salad. 44444444555555555 miiiiiinnnnnnuuuuttttteeess. I was telling my son I hope the sandwich is at good at the very least for waiting this long.. I received two pieces of bread and some sauce. There was no chicken in the sandwich that I could see nor taste. There was also a tiny piece of avocado on the corner of the sandwich. I should have just ordered a baguette. I will never go here again. You couldn't offer me a free meal to eat here. I'd rather run to the grocery store and back and back to make my own sandwich. Went in Saturday for lunch with wife. Used to Fremont location. Ordered chicken noodle soup and salad under you pick two. Asked for low sodium. She said low fat and rang it up. I said no low sodium please. She repeated low fat and rang it up again. The third time she rang up some other soup and rang up full salad. Did not see it until it was brought to the table. Wrong. Wrong, wrong. Server would take back. Had to buy another soup, chicken noodle low sodium. Kitchen just poured water into smaller serving of soup. No dressing on salad. Would not take salad back. I'm from the East Coast and enjoyed going to Panera when they revolutionized the panini scene. While their food has traded quality for quantity over the years, they have been gaining in customer experience in the recent times. A particularly interesting feature which I believe they are on the edge of is app based ordering and service in the restaurant. Each table is coined with a number and you may order to your table via an app which actually worked out really well for me. The space has been upgraded and I noticed they have a decent looking conference room that is set-up boardroom style that you can reserve and then they cater your function. I do believe that this place offers some unique experiences, but the food quality really keeps them from being highly recommended. read more

My Mom and I visited for lunch there yesterday. Just before noon. We ordered our lunch and proceeded towards a table. Several tables were dirty. Lunch was good and soup was nice and hot. Baguettes were fresh. Just before I left I visited the restroom, very dirty, paper on the floors, water and soap on and around the sink. Trash over flowing. This local needs to get into a better routine for the time between breakfast and lunch to prepare for the lunch crowd. Time and attention to detail is needed. read more

Seriously bad service for a lame reason that should NOT be the responsibility of the customer, and is up to staff to DEAL WITH. Ordered curbside pickup. No parking available in front so parked at one of the two DESIGNATED curbside pickup spots outside the side door. Texted I was waiting. 12 min after it should have been ready I went inside. The pickup people couldn't help me and suggested I go to the cashier(!) I had to WAIT while someone's order was taken, only to find out that if you can't park in the front, it's your problem to tell them where you are IN PERSON, i.e. get out of your car, tell them 'I'm parked on the side' - never mind I SAID THAT in my instructions, which were IGNORED because they only bother with the front door parking - then go BACK to your car and hope they remember to think of it when your order's up, I guess. So - if you're ordering pickup, forget it if you can't park in the front spots, and toss 'contactless delivery' out the window, as YOU will have to go inside to tell them what they could easily read on the instructions, and then go back to your car and hope they remember. This particular store needs to pay attention to Quality Control. Panera is usually pretty good. This store is always dirty in the Dining area. Waited 30 minutes for soups and 1/2 sandwich. I have been to this location several times and I'm always pleased with my meal. I'm a huge fan of the BBQ chicken salad. And their fruit cups are always fresh and crisp. the kiosks are always the route I take because I'm a shy person so I'm very pleased they have the option. Wish more places had the option. Panera bread is usually one of my favorite restaurants, this time however I was left overly dissatisfied with my experience. I started off by ordering a tomato mozzarella sandwich, which I thought would be a normal whole sandwich. However, when I received my sandwich, it was a sad half which no one had informed me it would come as a half or else I wouldn't have ordered it. Also while ordering, I had assumed that my sandwich would be coming with a baguette because most things I order from there do, so I was not pleased to open my bag to see chips. My family and I have been visiting this Panera location since it opened a few years ago. They have all of our favorite breads and pastries. It's a big space, so if you want to take your order and sit with a coffee, there is plenty of comfortable room, as private and quiet as you may want. Not only is the staff very knowledgeable and friendly but efficient. Last month when we had made an online bread order one loaf was not included. So the manager, I wish I knew his name, a very friendly young man with short dark hair, threw in another loaf and a pastry on the house -- we said it was not necessary but he insisted. It's a terrific place. But that's not to say that we don't still miss the Borders bookstore that once occupied the space. read more

Just opened yesterday and I was extremely impressed. The food was delicious and the staff seemed to be well trained for being the second day. The line was to the door but it went rather quickly.
