The service is great, ordering and getting your food are very convenient, the menu is vast and filled with healthy choices, and there's a lot of comfortable seating, including outdoor seating. This has the food and coffee of Panera but not the feel. Usually Paneras have a welcoming, cozy vibe where you can read a book or study for a test while sipping bottomless coffee and enjoying a You Pick 2. The one by my university even had a fireplace. This location has an open seating plan, similar to Starbucks, where tables are close together and people on the other side of the restaurant can watch you eat your meal. There is also zero table service: If dining in, you pick up your meal by the kitchen (sometimes they call your name, sometimes they don't). When you're done, you dump your tray at a trashcan by the exit. The focus seems to be on the drive-thru which is how I recommend this location be experienced. That said, I've been here a couple times and the food and coffee do not disappoint (I recommend the cinnamon crunch latte and Asiago bagel breakfast sandwich). Also, it's next to Flyby Philly's, so it's convenient if you want to grab a coffee after enjoying a cheesesteak and amoroso crunch. read more

The management at this location are really attentive and nice. I ordered the poppy seed chicken salad but the cook forgot the chicken. I couldn't come back because my lunch was only 30 minutes but the manager offered a refund or a remake. I put the salad in the fridge until I could go back and the manager on duty was more than accommodating. I didn't want the food to be thrown away so I just simply asked for some chicken. It was cold. I didn't feel well. What's the best cure? Soup! Where could I get it easily? Panera Bread! And that's how we wound up there. Apparently this particular location is relatively new. It is spacious, full of ample parking, and it even has a drive-thru. On the day we went, it seems that the entire neighborhood had the same idea. Fortunately, the girls working at the counter worked quickly. Even when my companion went back to order a dessert, it was quick despite the cattle of people. He had chicken noodle soup, I had broccoli cheddar. We were warmed up sufficiently and it hit the spot. Have to say though what got my attention most is the ambiance. It's a great place to study! I usually avoid this location because it's been hit or miss in the past, but I decided to give it another try. Unfortunately, this will be my last visit. I went through the drive-thru and ordered the Pick 2 special with a BBQ chicken sandwich and potato soup. When I checked my bag, everything seemed fine, but when I got to my destination, I found they'd given me the wrong soup. I drove back to the restaurant to get it corrected and decided to dine in instead. While eating my sandwich, I found a hair in it, which was incredibly off-putting. As I was getting a refund, I overheard the manager whisper to an employee to tell "Valerie" to put a hairnet on. This was beyond disappointing--why are staff in the kitchen without proper food safety equipment? I have tried to give this location the benefit of the doubt. First, I love the soup and salad deals; they are affordable and yummy. The staff is always very nice and accommodating. The business is newer and clean. Now, a few months ago, I decided to dine in for lunch. I ordered a different soup and salad pick 2. I was done with my soup and was ready for my salad. Halfway through I found an insect leg and my stomach was turned for the remainder of the day. I brought it to the attention of the staff and a manger (quietly), and they refunded my meal. I left and didn't return until a couple of weeks ago. Everything was fine. I didn't see bugs or hair or anything that would deter me From returning until yesterday. I ordered a chicken Caesar and broccoli cheddar soup. Soup was fine but, in the beginning of me eating the salad, I found an fine curly/wavy and short strand of hair. My hair is braided (not exposed), and my texture is Afro and tight curls. In addition, the hair was a light brown (mine is black). I was again disappointed. I usually don't give many chances after anything being in my food that shouldn't be, but I know that this franchise is usually clean and consistent. This location has tablets you can order on and you take a pager and they deliver it right to your table, no human interaction required. I like the tablets because sometimes I get overwhelmed staring at the board deciding while the line is growing behind me. I like that it shows you the ingredients and lets you make mods right there. We went to the Panera Bread on Apalachee Parkway in Tallahassee FL on Sunday (Oct 2, 2022) minutes for Lunch and there was plenty of staff behind the counter. The floors were extremely dirty as if they hadn't been moped in days food particles throughout the dining area. Couldn't find a clean table anywhere. I spoke with a Manager and he came out and wiped the table and benches off and all the food particles went off onto the floor. The floors again looked as if they hadn't been mopped in days. When my half tuna sandwich came out the bread was so hard you could knock somebody out with it. They brought me out a new sandwich. The young staff behind the counter were too busy texting on their phones. I have been going to the Panera on Blairstone for years and it was always clean and food was for the most part always good. I was originally excited for this location to open because of the drive through (mainly the separate drive through lane for mobile orders). The mobile order land was only open for use during the first week or so of the restaurant being open. It takes a while to get your order because you have to sit in line with people who just placed their order at the restaurant. Very disappointing. First time at this location since they moved. As we walk up to the counter my feet are sticking to the floor as if I'm walking on fly paper or glue. We reach the counter and no one greets us young lady just stands there looking at us. Not terribly concerned about that just surprised since I was always used to a warm greeting at Panera's. A lot of times, we snub national brands in favor for something more "authentic" and local. I'm a big proponent of keeping the business local, however there are a good number of corporate brands that not only do a decent job of reporting greater and greater earnings to their shareholders, they are consistently superior with their customers and employees. Every time I come to this Panera (this, BTW, is "my" Panera - i.e., it's the closest one to us) I'm greeted with friendly and familiar faces (familiar, because these employees genuinely appear to enjoy working here, which speaks to a good corporate culture - in not comp. plan). The product is consistently good, if not great. The bread itself is fantastic. Any company with the brass ones to call themselves Panera is obligated to deliver on bread quality and they certainly do. As I've previously reported, every way of doing business with this store is excellent. The app is trouble-free. Queueing up in line is problem-free. Calling an order in is a breeze. To me, this is one of those business models that seems headed towards mediocrity but no. Panera handles all aspects of its business very well. Bakery? - Solid. Pastry? - Same. Coffee station? - Tops. Barista? - Stellar. Soup/Sandwich galley? - pros. dining room cleanliness? - Immaculate. Restrooms? - Patrolled. Windows? - cleaned. Outside dining area? - shaded and comfy. Panera customer service *still* sucks) I ordered online for delivery with a xmas gift card (otherwise likely would have skipped all this frustration) Total came out to nearly $50, left an above average tip (25%) and the delivery time wasnt that bad (thanks doordash driver, I know you did your best!) FAst forward, food arrives, turns out it isn't my order; I tell the driver, they say, "It is sealed. I deliver what they give me, call the store". Not an ideal response but that's a downside of outsourcing your delivery drivers, which is an acceptable and reasonable roadblock operating under the current norms of food delivery. #GIGECONOMY I call the store, they attempt to throw all the blame on the driver, "It is his responsibility to check the order" even though THEIR staff handed it to this sweet older man, likely not terribly tech savvy but trying to earn a living. The manager then said they would contact DD and get my UNdelivered order (it was still on the shelf at the restaurant) delivered with no apologies and no offer of retribution. She took no ownership of the situation. Maybe $50 isn't much for a Panera order, (bougie much?) but any amount of patronage coupled with a bad experience deserves more than buck passing. read more

Ordered a "grilled" cheese sandwich here today. A very bored, looking woman handed me the bag at the takeout window. After I got too far to turn around, I opened the wrapping and noticed that the sandwich wasn't grilled at all. It was just plain overly thick sandwich bread. When you want a grilled cheese sandwich, do you want it grilled. This was very poor service, and a very poor representation of what Panera service. Zero stars if I could. Seems to be the go to spot for students in the E. Park Avenue area, and little away from campus. Used to love Panera! I order from this location frequently but lately their lack of good customer service, not even from staff but from management specifically, has run me off. I ordered delivery and called when 45 minutes after my order was confirmed no driver had been assigned to pick it up. Not a big deal. I called Panera and asked to speak to a manager to see if they could help move the process along, because they were closing soon, and she basically said she'd look into it and call me back and hung up before I could ask another question. She never called me back. Worried, I drove there myself to pick up my order just as the doors were being locked. She had no intention of calling me back and was more than happy I guess to let a customer pay for food and then toss it. And now tonight, we picked up our meals and came home to find out that part of our order was missing. I called to speak to a manager. I was offered a refund and half an apology. I've always loved the food at Panera even though my options are limited due to a somewhat severe dairy allergy (not to be confused with lactose intolerance). However, tonight we didn't know what to make for dinner so we ordered online and went to pick it up. I got the Bacon Turkey Bravo and made sure to customize it to not include cheese, but when we got back home I found that they had, in fact, put a decent amount of cheese on my sandwich.
