I guess my only complaint is the area where they keep the coffee mugs are dirty and dusty they don't wipe down the shelves and when they put clean mugs on the area, the top of the mug gets dirty and I didn't even notice until I took a sip and there were dust in my tongue....eeeewww gross... i told the lady snd she just said u want a clean mug. She didn't even say thank you for letting us know we will definitely clean that area. So the next time you want to get a coffee mug from that area just ask the clerk and they will give you a clean one from behind the counter. This is more of a general complaint: $9.99 for a tiny Modern Caprese sandwich (all it has on it is some arugula, a dab of pesto, a few sundried tomates, and a thin layer of melted mozzerella) is so ridiculously overpriced. The half sandwich is TINY and is still $7.99. Store specific complaint: the last time I went there and bought the half sandwich with a cup of soup, I still paid over $10 for a lunch portion of food and they put a TINY dab of mozzerella on the caprese that was so small I had to go back and complain because it covered less than half of the piece of bread. For the prices you pay for a sandwich there, it seems ridiculous. I leave there never full and $12-14 out of my wallet just the same. What happened to Panera? In general, Panera is overpriced for average food. However, I always revisit this location whenever I need to get some hardcore studying in. They have the extra comfortable seats, the fastest public Wifi in Vallejo, and you're not trying to ignore the whir of a blender like you would in a Starbucks, for example. A couple times this location has served me less-than-fresh ingredients, but they have always been quick to correct it. The customer service has always been top notch in my experience here. I have never given a review before but this is the worst food I've ever received. The latte was just water with whipped cream on top. The sandwich had hardly anything in it. I've been to a lot of Paneras and I was so excited when this opened in town. This Panera is clean and well designed. Love the contemporary feel. But what keeps me from becoming a regular is the lack of service. Takes forever to order, takes even longer to recieve your food and management is unfriendly and inexperienced. And all I got was a bagel and a iced coffee! I really dislike Paneras new system of having to get up and grab my own food. So either I'll lose my table if I take all my stuff with me or I risk something being stolen if I leave it at the table. The meal prices are just too high for a self service restaurant. I rather go to lunch at a full service place for the same price and better service. And now this location took away ice coffee refills. Ridiculous! Even Starbucks refills coffee for rewards members. So disappointed. This is an $11.00 loaf of bread. Special ordered two days ago. Went in to pick up yesterday, and they had no clue or any records of the order placed on Tuesday afternoon. So we placed the order again yesterday for a pickup on Thursday. As you can clearly see the center is raw. We were so excited to see a Panera opening closer to home. We love Panera's bread, pastries and sandwiches. But if your employees keep serving garbage at the price you charge your customers, we're better off without a Panera in Vallejo. Every time we come to this Panera there is never anyone at the front counter so we self order. And we see several employees sitting in the dinning area on their break. Then We try to find a cLean table to eat at. Usually have to clean it ourselves. The place is filthy with trash on the floor and filthy tables left for long periods of time.The bakery is sparsely stocked as well. Very disappointed. May go to the Fairfield restaurant for better service. To top it off we get a text that our food is ready and go to the counter to find nothing there. What's wrong with this place. I sent my husband to get me a bagel, French baguette, and fruit this morning. They threw my bagel and baguette in a bag with no butter and not. There headset was working so he had to blow the horn and try to get someone's attention. I called the store no answer. I like this new addition to the Vallejo Selection, they are utilizing some space that's long been empty parking lot and it works! Panera is pretty standard when you feel like getting fast food that is relatively healthier than your average surrounding burger,burrito,big slice of pizza neighbor. First visit to the new location, sleek and modern interior. Young employee that took my order was pleasant and engaging with some small talk while I was making up my mind to order a full salad instead of the "Choose your two" standard option. My usual store is in Fairfield but I decided to try the newly opened Vallejo store. I was very disappointed and will not visit this store again. I received inconsistent redemptions on my rewards. On exactly same order, one provided the accurate reward and on the other order it did not. I spoke with the manager and showed him both receipts. He told me neither reward should have been honored. You lost a customer because a pastry reward was not honored! Its not the pastry its the principle. Secondly the salad greens were not fresh, they were yellow and wilted. The last time I was here was about 3 yrs ago and never came back. I love Panera, but the Vallejo is so bad.. dirty tables.. food prep us so bad. I went back last week, and it still has not changed. I ordered this salad with 'chicken'.. the salad was served but I could not find the chicjen. I talked to the manager, and the 'chef' just gave me pieces of chicken in a mini container and told me to mix it myself to the salad. Ordered at Panera at 7:30pm yesterday. Got my food at 8:47 when they were closing. The room was filled with frustrAted customers. I didnt think of anything until I finished ordering. It felt bizarre to me that the cash register person had bad customer service. I asked if they had ice and instead of informing me they were talking about me in front of me. That doesnt sound professional or customer service friendly. The back staff who were making the food need a better system. If they are not making food from scratch then organization and expediting should be a focus on the back staff. Customers that filled the panera the time I went I would say were about 50 customers who still havent got their food. Average wait time was 1 hour per customer!!! Second to review this place evidently, I'm not too sure how someone was able to review this place two months prior to the grand opening LOL . I believe today is the grand opening. We finally have a Panera in Vallejo! I am so happy that we finally got something that's healthy that comes into the city. I must congratulate the building planners who built this brand new infrastructure. It looks amazing! They even have outdoor Cabana with lights which is a really good place to enjoy your healthy meals during the summer evenings. The inside has ample seating. Even have Smart tablets which allows you to go ahead and quick order. They also have a drive-through at this place! So check this out, you can drive up here in the morning and grab yourself your bread bowl soup and take it to work on the go. I will be revising my review once I finish my complete experience here at Panera including a review of the food that I have ordered. read more

Not long into having been open and already TERRIBLE! The workers are unprofessional and hanging out with their friends. One worker in particular was on the clock and just sitting their with her (boy) friend and lounging around. Whenever a coworker or management would walk by she's stand up and pretend like she's working. The only reason I'm saying all this is because there was obviously tons of work to do. The tables weren't bussed or cleaned off AT ALL. I had what looked like a piece of "MUSTACHE" on my plate next to my baguette. It was awful! The only reason I gave two stars is because the cookie was good and the place looks nice. Management needs to step it up and watch their workers more closely. So my first time going into this location in Vallejo. I bought a dozen bagels for a customer and they placed them in a bag. I asked for a box and was told that they don't have boxes which I know is a lie. I frequent the one in Fairfield and the service is stellar.
