Time for a tax client in West Chester. I came to Panera and the team was on it. There was no line, and everyone was all smiles. I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese on chibota bread with an everything bagel and a cup of coffee. They were out of the coffee I wanted. Drew - I haven't been to Panera in awhile so was excited to try it again. I got the bread bowl with chicken noodle and chips. The man taking my order was nice, and we went to find our seat. All of the booths were dirty. No big deal for me I just wiped them off for us. But doing that twice, one time where we sat to wait for food, then at our own table was kinda gross. Food came out hot. Chips were pretty small and basic. Bread bowl wasn't hot but the soup was. Over all pretty decent meal for $10. To top it off you have to bring your own plates to the trash can and that was piled up. This is an embarrassment. Ive been here a few times over the last year and its the last time. Only once did I actually get anything. There customer service is awful. Whose training these guys? On a Sunday waited in line 3rd in line no problem with that. The young kiddo taking orders was not listening to the gentlemen place his order at all. Hes being patient but as I watched her continuously screw things up for him and his kiddo, I knew there was no way she could get a bagel right when she couldnt get his order right that included a bagel lol. I know its challenging to find good staff but you need a whole new leadership group here. We came to Panera at 7:30pm. They said they were out of baguette. When I pointed at the full rack of baguettes and asked: what is that then? The lady said: "oh, that is the baguette for tomorrow. If we use that today then we don't have bread for tomorrow". Then they called our name and our order was missing a ton of stuff. Turns out that was not our order. It's always dirty when I go there no matter what time of day. Staff is nice but they don't come out behind the counter to clean seating area. Tables are all crooked in size. Nothing is wiped down. Beverage center is always sticky. They really need to update and upgrade this location. I always feel dirty leaving there but food is good, not great but OK. Now it's a third rate chain waiting to fail. Every time we go they are out of .....Today there is no RYE BREAD IN "Bakery". No bagels, no avocado, no service. Dirty bathrooms. We've eaten at a few different Paneras in the past, mostly at this one. Our last 2 visits, including today, have not been good. Last time my wife got cold onion soup. Today it was 4 or 5 different things. She ordered chicken salad on an Everything bagel--it came on regular bread (we checked our receipt to make sure it was listed correctly) I earned a free half sandwich which expired in 3 days, so I ordered one to go--it was put on a regular plate as tho I would be eating it there. A piece of plastic (possibly from a fork wrapper) was in my wife's salad. The manager raised a time card issue with our clerk while she was in the middle of taking our order. Very rude to both us and the employee. Do this in private. Used tables (still limited because of Covid) were not cleaned. My wife wasn't given butter and when she went back up and found the butter tub empty, she asked the clerk if she could have some butter and was told she (not the clerk) would have to go up to the front counter and ask for it. Whattttt? (By now, there was a line almost out the door because of only one clerk taking orders.) So as you can see, the problem isn't the quality of the food which has always been good, it's all the other things you have to put up with. And they are primarily bad management issues. Plus the difficulty of hiring good employees when the government is paying them almost as much to sit home. This will be our last visit here--there are 2 other Paneras nearby. My prediction is that the days are numbered for this location. Not sure why they are even bothering to remodel this location. It might all be for naught. read more

Well not long again I visited and they no long have P&J sandwich so the grandkids no long come to Panera. Today we came in with Grandma and she wanted a Ham sandwich and amazing they no long have Ham because of Covid. This Panera location that I visited a few weeks ago 5/23 for the first time for a curbside order which was a good experience, food was good and the service was great. I visited again 5/25 for an in store pick up and was very disappointed, the store was grubby & the pop machine was disgusting, I ordered the choc.chip muffie which was printed clearly on the bakery sticker attached to the bakery sack it was in and received a choc. chip. cookie instead, which I do not like Panera's choc. chip cookies. Arrive at 8:20 am with my son. They only had 3 types of bagels available to sell. Then to top it off , I was getting coffee and they also ran out of Hazelnut coffee. I picked it up and went back to my car and drove to school to eat (it was so nice out) and noticed my roasted turkey avocado sandwich didn't have turkey on it! Surprised to see so many negative reviews. I come here a few times a month and the food quality and service has been consistently good. I tend to come after the busy breakfast or lunch times.... Maybe that's the difference. Anyway today I'm having the beet-quinoa salad. It's delicious. Very fresh! Lots of interesting ingredients. Such a generous serving I had to double check that I ordered the half size (I did.). The parking can get nuts with the busy Chipotle next door, but otherwise, it's a great Panera. This is one of the S-L-O-W-E-S-T locations I have ever been to. There is never a sense of urgency. As with any Panera the cost is high, you have to pickup your own food and clear your own table.
