We came here for a Saturday night date night and literally everything was perfect! The food was amazing and the service was the best we have had anywhere on the beach. As a local you end up going to many restaurants, and it becomes clear which are really great restaurants run by great people and which are tourist traps. This restaurant is definitely the former, our waitress let us know that they have been family owned and operated in the same location for 18 years! I could go on about the service all day, I have extremely high expectations around service (I also work in a service industry) and I was wowed by our waitress. On top of being just amazing, she gave great recommendations that I will ordering every time. Moving on to the food, my husband had a bleu cheese burger because he is a carnivore and loves burgers, he said it was great and especially loved the bun. I stole some of the mushrooms off of the top and could taste that they were super fresh and sautéed to perfection. As for me, I wanted to order one of everything, but restrained myself (a bit) and only ordered the cod stuffed peppers, the shrimp, and the goat cheese croquets. I highly recommend the croquets and the shrimp. If you are a local, you need to put this restaurant in regular rotation! I know we are going to for sure. read more

Panizza is so yummy. The empanadas are home-made and always fresh (the pastries too). There's a great vibe inside and I love to sit outside on a nice day and drink coffee with friends. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Miami Beach. I always loved the vibe of this little place. Today's experience was difficult and started with a waitress that didn't speak English. The little special toast are a tourist trap and it's no longer a place for locals. Adding the tip above 15% automatically for 3 adults and asking for tip without marking it additional tip is a clear documentation that they try to get you with this. Sorry to say that this little place is no longer on our local favorite list. I'm glad we have options in the area. Too expensive for what they offer. read more

Sandwiches got the chicken burger and chicken Milanesa. Milanesa didn't have too much flavor but the chicken burger was good. Desserts are actually delicious had a chocolate croissant and a dulce de leche pastry. They automatically grat you here so they don't care if you need to be somewhere. Took 35 minutes just to check out and when I told her that we were in a rush, she rudely checked out 3 other checks that got there afterwords before mine. That is mainly why I'm giving this place 1 star. Food wise they get a 2 star and for dessert I'd say 5. Our server was sweet but the lady who works the register was super rude. Again food not that great but if you're looking for desserts this is a great spot. read more

I'm getting to this review late, but I walked in last week on Tuesday. It was my first time. I was greeted at the door by a very friendly waiter. The food all seemed very fresh and authentic. I was looking for something different and found it. Very good food, high quality food. They have sandwiches, salads, and I believe also pizza. The place was decorated with Italian and Argentinian art, maps, etc. The food I'm sure was also Argentinian - Italian fusion. The guy at the register had the coolest mustache. And apparently on Tuesday evenings, they even push the table back and have $10 tango lessons followed by free open tango dancing. I believe they also have wine. Very nice place. This cozy bistro is located on the west end of Lincoln Road, a bit separated from the busy touristy strip which is a nice break. They serve delicious argentine pastries and empanadas. They serve other breakfast items as well but we mainly go for the pastries. Most of the pastries are in the back part of the dining area, it's self serve. You pick the kind and quantity of pastries you want, collect them in a basket, bring them to your table and enjoy. The mini ham and cheese croissants are so good it's difficult to eat only one. The croissant, also called media luna, is a sweet pastry which is a nice contrast to the savory taste of the ham and cheese. You can find the mini croissants, sandwiches and empanadas on the main counter. Make sure to let them know you'd like to eat the mini croissants cold, they taste better this way in my opinion, otherwise they automatically warm them up if you're eating in. read more

mini cheese croissants to the face. mushroom & cheese empanadas are a delight in and around my mouth. The freshly squeezed OJ is crunk, but room temperature, not so sure how I feel about that. hi, it's lolo. mama loves this place. we come here for breakfast and coffee every weekend. there are more photos of me in this cafe than any other location. mama says it reminds her of paris. i suppose that means paris is crowded, too? the only thing i love more than cheese are the sweet croissants that are piled high in the back hutch. i don't understand why i can't have two. without fail every weekend she orders the panizza scramble and a cappucino. i try not to drink much water when i'm there because if my diaper gets wet mama changes me standing up. is that how little french babies do it? read more

Wow! I walked in this coffee shop and I was sure I was back in San Francisco. Same ol' cozy and shabby feeling than at my local independets shops in Noe Valley. These guys have a lot of different pies and sandwiches in addition to great coffee and pastries. You want Argentinean facturas?? THIS IS IT. I don't even think they are this good in Argentina! I would go there every weekend if I could. It is super yummy!!! Prices are a bit high (in my opinion) but then again, their rent is probably really high. Besides, for tasting pastries like that, it is ok. They also have a pretty good menu for food, sandwiches, salads, empanadas... etc. Service can be a bit hectic because that place DOESN'T stop. But I have never left that place unsatisfied. I love this place! I live a block away which is the only reason I discovered it & it quickly became a favorite. One of the most underrated restaurants on the Beach. Perfect spot for breakfast- delicious pastries, empanadas, montaditos (mini Spanish sandwiches), croissants, coffee etc. I love this cheese & mushroom torte- it's buttery melted on the inside and crunchy/crusty on the outside. They also started an amazing tapas menu at night which the owner told me is headed by their new chef from Spain. I recommend the chorizo, spanish tortilla, & bombas de queso. They have great sangria too. It gets pretty packed in the mornings so be prepared to order & go if there aren't any tables. A great local business to support! read more

I really wanted to like this place because it is so close, easy walking distance to my home. And we need an alternative to Icebox and Balans. The service was abysmal even by south beach standards. The waiter didn't bother to bring milk or cream with my American coffee which I should have asked for quickly before he walked off with a huge tray full of drinks for other tables. I drank it before it became cold and figured I would enjoy it with milk on my second cup. Wrong. The waiter informed me that they charged $3.10 for each cup. Huh? Is there such a thing as discriminating against gringos who drink 3-4 cups of coffee with their breakfast? Is $12.40 for coffee reasonable? Are they trying to keep the gringos to a minimum by charging for coffee like this? Most Americans I know would simply not go back. Local House from what I read on Yelp used to charge for each cup of Lavazzo "American style coffee" but they have since gone with the American tradition of free refills. But back to Panizza, I must say the chicken empenada was quite good and Ranchero Eggs, although a bit spicy, were quite good, too. Only complaint there is they should check on you or just bring ice water because the dish requires it. Other problem which Panizza probably can't do much about is the garbage truck that pulls up alongside the restaurant to empty garbage. Some idiot came up in a SUV and is beeping at the truck. A woman walking by somehow pissed him off and he's like I'm beeping at the truck as if the garbage truck is going to stop emptying the garbage and move for Mr. Miami Beach entitlement prize winner. It was part of the experience that wasn't pleasant but bar moving the location, there is nothing they can do. Is there anything that can be done about these mad honkers who disturb the peace and tranquility of Miami Beach by honking at pedestrians or other cars that don't move fast enough for their satisfaction? And with Florida's Stand Your Ground laws who wants to get into a fight with anyone? NYC passed laws that make it an expensive violation to honk unless there is a serious problem. NYC is now hornless for the most part and it makes for a very pleasant urban experience unlike Miami Beach which is who can honk louder and longer or more frequently! People give it a break with the horn. Give me the prize for most off topic review. I was going to give Panizza one star but the food was better than that. The service loses one star and the coffee indiscretion loses 2 stars! read more

This has always been one of my favorite places to eat here on Sobe. I noticed some recent improvements in the quality of the food. I learned they have a new chef. I met Chef David D. and he is awesome! He truly and genuinely cares about the quality, taste and presentation of the dishes he prepares and above all he is a really cool Chef. Nice little place. At first I was a bit reluctant, but the staff was friendly. The burger was good.

From the street, this place looks promising, but that's where the good part ends. This is possibly the loudest coffee shop I have ever visited. The barista needlessly slams the portafilter on the wooden counter like an angry ape every 30 seconds and the cappuccino machine is louder than a band saw. You can't have a conversation indoors so the nice decor is wasted. Sitting outside isn't much better as we were greeted by the smell of dumpster water running down the alley into the street. The service is pretty poor - unattentive waiter and the folks behind the counter act like they are doing you a favor by making your coffee. With a properly trained staff (sometimes a tall order in South Beach), this place could be great. read more
