Coffee was very good. Service was friendly. Location was a nice place to sit and enjoy. I am glad they had a 20oz cup!!!

Pros: Great coffee, we had a flat white and latte and both are very good. The atmosphere is cute, and has a variety of spaces to settle in. The gift shop is a nice touch, too. Cons: We came ready to get a full day of work done, bought our coffees and food and sat down, only to find they don't have wifi until 3 pm! I've literally never heard of such a strange thing. According to the staff, "the owner doesn't turn on the wifi until 3pm". What on earth? Basically, if you want to come and work you better have your own hotspot. Didn't know that before we arrived, and was pretty disappointed, so instead of working there for the day and spending more money on their food, we left early. Plus we were sitting down in the lower area on the couches and there was a strange odor that lingered around, so that wasn't exactly tempting us to stay. Also, they make all kinds of gluten-free muffins, but none are safe for those with allergies/gluten sensitivity, so what's the point?? Overall, the atmosphere and location are unique and it's worth a stop for the coffee itself. But it's got strange quirks!

Wonderful coffee, teas, and pastries. The Pannikin serves as a historic part of the community. The little Victorian house was built in the late 1800s for a train station. I have fond memories visiting this yellow house since childhood and will continue to pay homage while sipping on delicious tea.

Loved stopping in while driving down the coast. We were lucky enough to find parking on the street a little ways down. This place has seating everywhere, inside, outside, upstairs, downstairs... The menu is vast and baked goods a'plenty. I ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee and it's probably the best one I've ever had.. we also split one of their breakfast burritos and took a couple treats home for later. Service is quick and very attentive. Whoever makes your drink also takes your order. I loved this place and I wish it was closer.

Such a classic historical San Diego coffee shop serving up delicious drinks and bites. My top picks are the flat white latte and the Joey (coffee with butter to make it extra creamy). The pastry case is always filled with pies, cakes, freshly baked muffins. I appreciate how many different gluten free muffin flavors are available. The lemon poppyseed is tart and soft without being too sweet. The outdoor seating overlooks Highway 101 and is a relaxing place to enjoy your drinks. The only complaint is that the line can be very slow with the small space available for the baristas.

The six of us really enjoyed our brunch here and loved the spacious outdoor patio, perfect for bringing our dogs along! Our San Diego local friends recommended this spot, and it turned out to be a great choice. The line to order was a bit long on a Sunday morning, but it was definitely worth the wait. I had the breakfast tacos, while my husband ordered the chicken sandwich and a breakfast burrito. Our friends enjoyed their quiche, pastries, coffee, and drinks, all delicious! The staff brings your order right to your table, which is a nice touch. I only wish I had more room to try a few more of their pastries! We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the San Diego area

Food: 9/10 Service: 8/10 Ambiance: 8/10 This café is one of the cafés I go to, and I wanna run away from this world. Please know that this café has no Wi-Fi, but it's intentional to focus on the present which I believe that we need time to time. I'd say it's one of those places that I would love to catch up with friends or just really focus on a book with a nice coffee and a pastry or breakfast. would come again.

Such a cute spot! My husband and I were visiting Encinitas CA for a wedding and stopped by this coffee shop one morning. Definitely a popular location as there were so many people gathered there! Though there was a line, the service was quick and everyone was friendly. I got an iced caramel latte with oat milk that throughly enjoyed. I also ordered scrambled eggs with cheese. I was a little disappointed with the eggs as the cheese was just sprinkled on the top and not mixed in. Overall I enjoyed my experience and would recommend this local spot!

The breakfast burritos and tacos are recommended if you've a hearty appetite. Indoor/outdoor seating. Plenty of people watching opportunities out in front. Friendly staff.

Downstairs. Bathrooms are down there too.

This place is a standard in San Diego County. If you are in North County Coastal San Diego (Encinitas), this is the place to go for a brew. I'm a strict black coffee or Americano drinker, no additions. Pannikin always nails it. The parking lot is on the smaller side and typically full. Street parking is key. Currently, they are doing a remodel inside so the coffee counter is out front. Great coffee, relaxed vibe, and a very comfortable place inside and out with plenty of seating. I sit out in the sun and people watch. Been coming here for decades. Super nice people serving here.

cruising up the PCH from the Seaside Market in Cardiff i glanced over my shoulder and saw a yellow looking house with a giant sign out front said Pannikin. Since i was driving I did not stare too long but noticed on the sign was a picture of a kettle. I was on route to Carlsbad when i decided to take a quick Uturn. I am a Tea Connoisseur so had to stop in to see what this place was about. immediatly walked into the loose leaf section and gawked at a wall of goodness. the lady working behind the counter was helpful with my questions and I got a lot of good intel about the area. I live 2 hours north so my Orange County weekends are more like vacations. I ended up getting a coconut ginger blend tea. it was as awesome as that sounds. I drank half of it hot and the other half over ice. both versions were delectable. I normally go for just natural nothing blended style teas but they had such an amazing variety i had to try this one. the interior vibes are so chill and relaxing. This place is Totally my cup O TEA! This is my favorite tea spot i have discovered yet. apparently they have several locations but i doubt they are as cool as this location. not too far from the ocean. There is plenty of parking and seating with a few porches.

Last red brick building it's so cute n vintage like!

Love this spot! I haven't eaten here yet because we arrived when it was about to close, someone had to use the bathroom haha. They were so sweet and let us! I've been to the other location several times and highly recommend this place! Love seeing it here in Oceanside! We will be back!

    PB banana toast

Great atmosphere, fast service and have been coming here over the years. This was my first time here in probably 2 years. coffee and food prices have gone up since the OG days but so has everything. I got the $15 breakfast burrito and it was filling but small for the price. $13 PB banana toast is exactly that. Toast was over toasted and more like a cracker. I will stick to $9 drinks and fresh baked goods next time. Which I will gladly pay for a community space to meet friends and that's close to the 101!

"Addison's Brunch"…read more Placed perfectly along the sunkissed Coast Highway 101 in Encinitas is a quaint brunch spot serving up culinary wizardry. I've gotten the chance to visit a few times and I'm always impressed with how they balance serious cooking with approachable flavors. Chef Andrew Bachelier (Addison, Jeune et Jolie, Campfire) brings his take on a foodie workshop that dazzles with amazing brunch food and an imaginative drinks bar. The food was phenomenal. Turkish Eggs were super flavorful and fresh. Almost like eating an herby ramen egg on crusty toast with all the fresh herbs and chili oil. The hamachi crudo was delicate and fresh. The pork chop was sumptuous with an excellent sauce. But my favorite had to be the sourdough french toast. It actually blew my mind how the outside was crispy and crackley but the inside was moist, gooey but not mushy. I heard from the waiter they soak the bread in a custard or syrup for 72 hrs to get that texture and yet the outside is crispy. Sorcery. In short, this is the brunch spot of all brunch spots, combining michelin star level cooking with beloved breakfast foods. This place really punches above its weight class and I highly recommend checking it out! Best Bite: French Toast

Really enjoyed my visit to Atelier Manna!!…read more First, they are now TAKING RESERVATIONS. We didn't realize that until morning of. It's easier for them and easier for us - they can count how many people are coming & you don't have to worry about waiting an hour. Vibes are great. Food is lovely (though expensive!). My fave dish was the amazing summer porridge. Sure it's $32 for the dish - but this is a Michelin-quality place (Bib Gourmand, not a star) so not for every day and it was delicious. Basically like a risotto, ate every grain. Check out the gorgeous pic! People are high on the Turkish eggs - but I thought they were meh, and tiny for $23. Not one of the best values here, IMHO. We wanted to try the vaunted French toast, but they had run out by the time of our reservation. On the recommendation of our server & my friend Jiansen in his review here, we also ordered the Pistachio Bread Pudding. It was beautiful, tasty, light and photo worthy! And also on Jiansen's rec, I tried the jasper, which was like a cold coffee mocktail on the rocks (steady state coffee. cherry. chaga. vanilla. rose vinegar. lemon). Tasty and interesting! We really liked the vibes too. They take reservations for 1:30 pm, though they're closing technically at 2. The manager (whose name I am forgetting - but he is from Philly and super nice!) told us "they don't close" and we could sit and enjoy & not be in their way while they closed up, but a few of the other staff members seemed to be wanting us to leave. So keep that in mind if you get one of the last reservations; lingering with a friend might be a bit challenging. But we had a great time, and I especially enjoyed the summer porridge. I'll definitely come again (and know I should make a reservation) - but it's probably better to come earlier before they run out of anything & before we're in their way while they're cleaning up! Oh - and parking can be a real challenge. Come early and check out the side streets!

We were seated on the patio--which was fine because we had our 2 year old with us--but it was 80 degrees out and not a lot of air flow. Our server's name was Kyra or Kyla--I'm not too sure because it was hard to hear her over the music playing. She was nice enough but there must've been sort of disconnect with our toddler's meal. Either she forgot to put it in the POS system and asked the kitchen to quick fire it or the kitchen was in the weeds and we weren't made aware of the situation. Nonetheless, we purposely put the kid's burger in when we put our appetizer in. Her burger didn't come out until 45 minutes after the appetizer got to our table! I'm not exaggerating either--515 we got our fries and then at 6pm a child's hamburger...on a Tuesday! Our entrees were finished and we asked for the bill before it even came out. I shouldn't have had to check on it as a server's job is to know what your table has ordered and make sure it actually gets to the table. I'm extremely disappointed that there was no apology, no discount or comp. to our meal because of this mistake. We won't be returning.
