My favorite Thai food. Their Tom Kha is the best I've ever tasted. Exceptionally creamy and flavorful. Love their pad Thai and curries as well. Have not been disappointed by a dish yet. It also doesn't break the bank, and most dishes are right around the same price. They also really know how to spice things up, so ordering a 4-5 star dish will actually be pretty damn hot. Only positive experiences with the staff and the ambiance is nice, although I've never dined-in there.

I got this for takeout, and it was pretty delicious! The portion size is good--classic where I can eat the whole thing if I'm really hungry, otherwise it definitely is good for 2 servings! :) 2 stars wasn't too spicy, so if your spice tolerance is mild-good and you like spice, i'd suggest 3 stars for sure. My only critique was that it was a lil more oily than i'm use to, but still delicious! Yummy noodles, yummy sauce, and im always happy to have the fried green onions in there. would recommend if you're ordering lunch takeout!

The food was great. I called for a pick up order and they said that my food can be picked up in 10 minutes. Fast and delicious! Ordered take out here for a quick meal. The food was done quick and spring rolls were hot and crispy when I received them! It seems this restaurant's customer base is largely takeout-- there were no dine ins when we were there (I don't remember seeing if there were actually places to sit tbh) IMO pad see ew is the same in most places. I do think this place's spice scale is a little higher (I always get 3 stars/medium and this one seemed a bit spicier than other places I've been to). I also felt it was a little less flavorful than what I've had from other takeout restaurants. The spring rolls were crispy but essentially only filled with cabbage and noodles, so a little disappointing.

Food was absolutely delicious, perfect spicy rating was accurate for what you ask for, fresh, service was amazing I got my water refilled at least 3 times, kind and sweet lady. Price was great for how delicious food was. I really enjoyed their Thai tea as well and they don't overfill it with ice so you can actually enjoy the drink than just a few sips, I really enjoyed this place and my friend enjoyed their food as well. I will be back!

Came here during lunch time and loved the lunch deal! This portion were plentiful for the price. We ordered the panang curry and cashew chicken meals which came with veggie pad Thai and salad. - the curry was great! Although i don't think you can mess up this popular curry dish - cashew chicken was delicious and i had ask for medium spice which to me was not that spicy. Maybe i should opt for spicy next time. I do wish it had more cashews to this meal but the sauce was great! - veggie pad thai... this dish was the most unique one of them all. I've had plenty of pad Thais before however the sauce on this was not the same as other place. It was on the sweeter side -- almost taste like it had fish sauce poured over it. It was not my favorite i will say. This place is Covid cautious and street parking. We ended up parking behind the restaurant within a neighborhood zone. Would recommend this place for the lunch specials! I would like to come back for dinner as the menu is much larger

Panwa Thai is on 12th near Seattle University. With lots of Asian eateries and restaurants within a two block distance, Panwa Thai competes perfectly well vs. the many other options. Definitely glad I found this place. I arrived after 2pm on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised their lunch menu runs to 3pm. So it's easier to have multiple meals and try different things if you so choose. Our food: Yellow Curry with Chicken - Lunch size served with rice Spicy green beans with non-fried tofu - Dinner size, rice included Pad Thai with non-fried tofu - Dinner size, rice not included Their pad thai is the traditional 'brown' version, not the Americanized 'red' version. Thumbs up. Thumbs up on their other dishes too. Next time I'll try to look for chef specials and unusual dishes. Those are always a treat to find.

This is a brand new Thai restaurant with amazing tasty food. We ordered the Panang curry and the spicy Eggplant. The curry had the right tanginess of galangal and kaffir lime leaf balanced with the right amount of creamy coconut milk sweetness. The eggplant was very well cooked and literally melted in our mouth We finished off the meal with the mango sticky rice. Yum! Would definitely go back here. read more

Such a hidden gem! There is never too many people here, and I have no idea why. The food is fantastic and, from my experience, decently authentic. There are a ton of options and ways to try new Thai dishes. In addition, the staff is WONDERFUL and very friendly. This place is great for dine-in (often wide open... giving you ample ability to chat with the wonderful staff) or take-out. The food comes lightning fast. The location is prime. Overall, highly recommend! read more

This place is tasty, really well priced, and fairly quick at serving. You just have to keep in mind it is close to Seattle University so a lot of the patrons are college students. The staff is attentive and the ambiance is quaint. In other words, the ambiance is "nothing to write home about." Nonetheless, the food is pretty good. read more

Ordered this online for pickup on a Friday evening when we didn't feel like cooking. The online ordering experience was great and it was ready to pick up when we arrived 20 minutes later (may have been ready earlier, but we walked to get it so it took 20 minutes for us to get there). I ordered the red curry with tofu and my partner ordered the kyoza. I got probably a little less than a litre of curry and a cup and a half of jasmine rice. The curry was delicious and the tofu (I got it fried) was cooked to perfection! I ordered level two spice and it was perfect, just a little kick but not enough that I had to be constantly drinking something to cool my mouth down. My partner liked the kyoza, though we agreed that the price was a little steep ($8 for 6 small pieces). Overall, the food was delicious and they had great service. Only reason for four stars is the price of the kyoza. read more

Was craving some Thai food and stopped by Panwa. My friend who was with me frequented the place and she had recommended the Pad See Ew, so we both got one at spicy level three out of five. We take are meals home, all is fine until we bite into the food. SO SO SPICY!! Like beyond spicy, and spicy food is common for us. The Pad See Ew was so spicy it was inedible. Called Panwa and got placed on the phone with the manager who very assertively refused to re-make the meals we paid $13 for. My friend had assured her that she has had this meal many times and it has never been this spicy. Instead of listening to the customer she continued to be rude. Horrible customer service and a waste of money, should of went to Jai Thai for their $5 Pad See Ew. read more

We were extremely excited to try this place as it's about a block from me and desperately needed a go to Thai place. This is definitely not it unfortunately. You're average Thai food with smaller than expect portions. We typically try a noodle dish and a curry dish with an app or two. The pad se ew noodles were not as flavorful or filling as I would have liked. They seemed a bit oily or greasy which is why I would try another dish. I also would say the curry was oily with a layer of said oil sitting in the top. The spring rolls were our favorite part of the dish and definitely will return for the spring rolls if not anything else! read more

My favorite place to order uberEats from when I'm stuck at work!! Super affordable and consistently delicious, which made it worth every penny! The Asian delivery guy is super nice and read read the delivery note on the uberEats order to deliver inside my building (because I can't leave!). My usual order is the Pad See Ew, Pad Thai or Crab Fried Rice (real crab meat guys!!). I'm thai so I always order 5 star and guys, they really are serious about their spice level so be careful my Farang friends!!! they don't play around cuz even my coworker's 3 star m Panang curry was pretty spicy !!! I will always continue order form here and will find the time to visit the restaurant after work at some pt! read more

You really can't go wrong with Panwa if you're an SU student-- it's convenient, tasty, and affordable. Panwa is probably my favorite restaurant that borders SU! I've tried various dishes from the yellow curry to tom yum soup to tom kha to crab wontons. Tom yum and tom kha are DELICIOUS and both come with rice. Crab wontons are also really yummy! As for yellow curry, it's not exactly creamy as I like it to be so I like getting my curry fix elsewhere. Prices are extremely reasonable and the service is awesome! It's always nice coming into Panwa on rainy days for something warm and inviting. read more

Solid Thai Food. Appropriately spiced and large quantities. We had the pad Thai, chicken, four star, and if was delicious and it had tons of chicken. We also tried the appetizer sampler, it was decent but I'd skip it and get a second entree instead. We'll definitely be back! read more

This is one of my go-to places for lunch in the area! I'm loyal to their pad-see-ew and I usually grab it to-go. They always have my order ready when I call in. The portions are decent and the price is pretty great compared to the other restaurants in the area. There's so much flavor in each bite and the meat is always tender. I've dined in a few times as well and the staff is always attentive. I love having extra chili in my meal, and they never hesitate when I ask for extra portions. They come by regularly to make sure my water cup is full and the food tastes right. read more

Super close to my campus, right across the street! The thai tea was perfectly thick and sweet and im picking about thai tea so that's saying something. The food came out sure fast. genuinely the best spring rolls i've ever had, the tofu was amazing and the peanut sauce was perfect. 14$ for a plate of curry that we split among 4 people (with small appetites). The spice scale went from 2-5, and as we all know, thai food is very spicy. so even a 2 was very spicy for all of us haha. but over super super yummy food and good service. read more

I refuse to eat here anymore. They stopped selling the best items on the menu and yet still keep it on all their menus. At first their excuse was that UberEats takes too high of fees so then I took my parents here when they were visiting and they were out or 4 things on their menu. Last night I called them and they said they no longer will offer the coconut shrimp or chicken sate. read more

I don't have high expectations for restaurants in college towns since they're demographic is poor college students. But I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the food was. I ordered a basic chicken pad thai (that came with a side of white rice). While the noodles used were thinner than the traditional pad thai. it was still delicious. The chicken was nice and moist, not dry like how some Thai restaurants cook it. read more

This place has the best Pad Thai hands down. I'm a huge Pad Thai fan and nothing compares to this place, they make it perfectly and it is so tasty that I heat it up for leftovers when I usually hate leftovers. My experience with this restaurant was very poor. The food I ordered was limp and cold, the chicken looked of very poor quality. When I asked if I could have something different, I was told "Sorry, we give no refunds." I was unable to eat the food and left very dissatisfied. read more

I ordered the pad thai medium spicy. It was good taste-wise. But there was more liquid than I would've wanted. It was a bit too sweet. Not spicy at all. Also, they only let me have one fork. Overpriced in my opinion but hey I know it's expensive to get ingredients right now. read more

My pad thai was inedible. Shoe-leather tough and stringy chicken, funky smelling and tasting noodles, and way overspiced for a 2 out of 5. The second star is for the crispy spring rolls and their pad see iew, which are both better than this. read more

I just came here to have a little late dinner after moving back to campus and I was so pleasantly shocked by the affordable prices. Not only is it affordable, but the portion sizes are very generous. I ordered the crab wontons and the vegetable and tofu soup and they were both served quickly and hot. The wontons were nice and crispy with a creamy, savory filling. The soup felt homey and relaxing after a long day. I stopped in towards closing, but the food and service were still incredible. Highly recommend for students on a budget who want good food. read more

It was actually pretty good. I had the lunch special (around $9), which comes with whatever entrée you choose with a side of rice and an eggroll. They are really popular for take-out, but even if you're dining in décor seemed pretty nice. I called ahead and it only took 10 minutes to prepare my food - pretty good for how busy they were! I had the Pad See-ew. The noodles were flavorful. I thought they were an excellent deal for what you pay. If there was any weak point in the meal the eggroll was a little bland. I'll definitely be going back and recommend anyone working in the First Hill area try it for lunch. read more

Receive very poor hospitality, food, service, and soggy egg roll. They made a big deal with a simple request of lighting up input with oil on their food or made it sound "impossible" an addition of slight tone of argument. Highly recommend finding a different Thai restaurant. read more

Fantastic place for lunch. Had the chicken satay, spring rolls and pahd see-ew beef. All delicious, fresh ingredients and very fast service. It's a family from Thailand, mom (Tip) is doing the cooking and the sisters run the front. Came over after our meal to ask how it was and to let us know she's happy to make us something custom next time if we want. Love the welcoming and happy atmosphere. All smiles, eager, friendly and energetic. Overall, fantastic experience all round! Highly recommended read more

Visiting from Texas, I must've tried every Thai restaurant in my city by now and I'm incredibly impressed with Panwa Thai. The establishment is clean, and the staff is friendly! The appetizers were fresh and delicious and the pad Thai was absolutely perfect, the spice was amazing! I'm not a huge fan of Thai tea, but theirs was delicious. I'd recommend to any Thai food lovers. I'm surprised they don't have more reviews! read more

But we came especially for the mango sticky rice which came with fresh mango and the tricolored rice, and we also ordered the coconut pudding which was not too sweet, perfectly light, smooth, and creamy delicious. We inhaled the food and honestly I've come back for takeout since then because it's just really excellent eating. Highly recommend. The restaurant is clean and has wonderful murals celebrating Seattle throughout. They have a great collection of Asian beer and they also serve 14 Hands wines.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and we were looking forward to the bold flavors we've come to love. The visit started off a bit oddly. The front desk server, Tar, asked to see my wife's ID--even though she's 36 years old and we weren't seated in the bar area. It felt inconsistent, especially since younger guests nearby weren't asked, and it's something we've never experienced at their other locations. Unfortunately, moments like that made us feel singled out, and honestly it sometimes feels like they tend to pick on Asians, whether intentional or not. That feeling alone made the experience uncomfortable and will likely make this our last visit to this location. That said, the table service was excellent. Moo took great care of us, and Cece from the bar was attentive and kept our water filled throughout the meal. Unfortunately, there were a few moments that took away from the experience. While I was taking photos of our dishes, a young staff member alongside Tar appeared to be giggling and mocking me, which made things uncomfortable. It may not have been intentional, but it didn't feel professional and only added to the awkward atmosphere we already felt. Food-wise, there were some inconsistencies. The chicken didn't taste as good as we remember, and several plates had visible fingerprints, which was off-putting. The galvanized metal plates also gave off a slightly unrefined feel--more like cafeteria-style serving ware. Additionally, the sticky rice, which is usually presented in a traditional bamboo basket, was served in a Ziploc bag, which felt like a downgrade in presentation. On a positive note, the papaya salad and pad Thai were still very good and delivered the flavors we expect. We'll continue supporting Isarn, but we'll likely return to the Kirkland or Lynnwood locations next time. Sadly, after this experience, this Queen Anne visit will probably be our last.
