I'm a picky person when it comes to my nails because I have had many bad experiences in the past. When I meet a good one I prefer to only trust them for my nails. I live in Sacramento but decided to go here to get my nails done since my friend has her nail tech Kevin that does a great job which I had tried once and liked how he did my nails. This time I was expecting for him to do my nails again since my friend had already called them ahead of time to let the owner know that we were both going to be there and requested for the same person to do both our nails. Well, when we arrived Kevin pawned me off to another lady because he said he had another client coming so he decided to work on my friend's nails while she was getting a pedicure at the same time. The funny thing is, they supposedly don't take appointments and it's a first come first serve basis so if we were there first then my understanding is we would both get serviced first. I understand my friend is his regular customer so he would serve her first but I didn't appreciate the fact that he just threw me to some other girl to do my nails instead of asking me if I would prefer to wait for him. Being confused and not wanting to be rude I decided to give the girl a chance. I suppose she felt my resistance and told me not to worry bc she has over 10 years experience. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she said she could do it. Well to my disappointment, my nails design did not turn out to look anything like the picture I showed her which didn't surprise me bc she finished my nails pretty fast and charged me 65.00. Aside from my nails, I also got a pedicure and was charged 48.00 when all she did was remove my cuticles, remove my callous and painted my toe nails. She probably charged me extra for the French tip and two flower designs on my toes but even a basic pedicure comes with a foot massage which I didn't even get except she did put lotion on my leg only. Also make sure you check your receipt bc I was told my full set was 65 and pedicure was 48 which would be 113 but my friend paid for both hers and mine and when she recently looked at her receipt it showed 252 which means they charged her 126.00 for each of us when mine was only 113.00. The 252 was not including the tip that she gave separately so just beware. Will I return as a customer? No!
The service is nice but my toe got infected. I'm dipping my toe in salted water as I'm typing this. First of all I can in for a clean up then the lady asked if I wanted her to take off my nail that was bugging me I said yes then next thing I know she putting acrylic on my toes it kinda bothered me but I didn't say anything my total went from $35 to $55 dollars and an infected toe.I can't go to school nor go to work because of this , my toe is swollen it's pulsing and I can't even walk because the pressure makes me cry.

yall victoria hooked me up!! loveeee my nails, she took time to understand what i wanted and freestyled and also let me choose the bling i wanted!! my pedi was super relaxing too. they accommodated me even when i asked them if it's ok if showed up not long before their closing time but they said it's totally ok, angels!
I came here to get my nails done for graduation. The service was amazing!! I waited about 10 minutes after checking in. The guy in the front is super nice. My nails came out how I wanted it! The lady did an amazing job!! I loved them!!! I been here about 3 times already and each time it's been great! I HIGHLY recommend this place! It's affordable and the prices are great!

When I moved to Boyle Heights a few years back I struggled to find the right place to get my nails done. Paolas nails was the 3rd place I tried in the area and absolutely love getting my nails done here. They always do a great job specially Kevin. I have recommended this place to many friends and they all love it as well. So when it was time to get my nails done for my wedding I did not hesitate to come here. Kevin did a great job! hands down will keep coming back for as long as I am in the area.

Everyone was very friendly. I showed the technician a picture of French ombré nails and she did a beautiful job. The prices are great as well. I will definitely be going back! I'm so happy to find a good nail salon so close to home.
This is my first Yelp review. I'm trying to find a go-to spot here in Boyle Heights. This was the first shop I visited, it seemed to have decent reviews, but I had to give it 2-stars. My rating is due to cleanliness, this place is dirty, and seriously needs an update to benefit employees and most importantly, the customers. The walls, chairs, their workstations and decor are all dirty. So of course the have unsanitary tools; i.e. cuticle removers I expect a brand new cuticle remover to be opened before being used on me... unfortunately that is not the case at Paola Nails, so gross. The staff was fine, the older woman who did my nails wasn't bad, but she the same ratty old towel on me as she did the client before me. To clean it she walked outside and just shook it clean.... that's why I give this place 2 stars. The just need to upgrade everything ASAP. Also, I paid $34 for a fill, trim, and gel color. Hope this is helpful.

After reading reviews, I decided to try this place and I requested Kevin. When I arrived, Kevin was there ready for me right away. I told him that I wanted short coffin French ombre nails. He did them PERFECTLY! Kevin was so nice and he took his time with my nails. He was very professional. I trusted him and was able to relax and watch the movie that they were playing while he took care of me. Amazing Job. Beautiful full set. Will be coming back! So glad I finally found a great salon that I can come back to. read more

This is my go to spot to get my nails done.been coming here for 3 years now.prices have gone up..paid 30 for French tip gel mani and 38 for gel pedi with calis removal...but overall they do a fantastic job! Everyone is super friendly so I don't mind at all supporting my local businesses Update: just recently went again and for the first time ever Kevin helped me and omg now I know why everyone asks for him! He goes above and beyond telling you about new nail trends, what colors are in right now and does an amazing job with your nails. He actually cares how the look and takes his time doing a great job. First time trying out stones on my nails an I'm in love! read more

Lina did a great job on my gel mani and pedi ($40). Making an appointment is highly recommended. I saw walk-ins having to wait like 40 minutes. The location isn't in such a cute location but the strip mall has plenty of parking. read more

Rushed my nails and I wasn't the slightest bit satisfied with how they looked afterwards. They are not taking hygiene and safety precautions seriously. The lady used gloves that she already had one when I got there to do my nails. She removed one glove to fill a bowl up with warm water and put the same glove back on. Who knows how many times she used those same gloves. They used soiled tools like the spinning buffing machine and cuticle removers on me. The tiny tin In which she took it out from had a label on top that said "soiled tools". She didn't wipe down the area where she did my nails. There was debris from someone else's nail situation on the table when I got there. There's a serious virus going around and they don't seem to care enough to use clean tools on their customers. Would suggest you either tell them you want clean tools and a clean station or don't go at all. Sorry. read more

Its very affordable, that is why it gets four stars. I've been here twice, also I suggest you come in the mornings it gets busy quick. This time I asked for cheetah print and an acrylic rose. I received neither. Honestly the design looks like dots. The total cost was $59 read more

Horrible pedicure experience. She was too rough with removing the cuticles to the point where she cut me. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, maybe it was an accident so I let it go. But she kept going after I told her to stop cause it hurt. I let her finish the pedicure and it's only been 2 days now my toe is swollen and infected. I'm on my feet 10-11hrs a day for work and I can barely walk from the pain. I shouldn't have ANY type of pain after a pedicure, the whole point of it is to make my feet feel good and now I gotta deal with this bs. Not to mention They also said I had to make an appointment & had me wait an hour after my apt. Overall bad experience . read more

Today was my first time at Paula nails I really had an enjoyable experience my nail tech was Kevin he was very precise and my nails look bomb I will be coming again soon also the prices are very reasonable in total I paid about 45 I will be coming back I really enjoyed the service and the quality of nails I've added a picture so you guys can see I got the ombre look read more

I saw the reviews for this place and it's super close to my apt so I decided to stop by. The first evening I went they were super busy so I decided to make an appt for the following day (today) plus the lady who was going to do my mails couldn't do what I wanted. So I came back today and I still didn't get the job done. I just wish my nails were thinner like I asked and if you're going to go here I would make an appt with the guy or the lady directly next to him. Plus they seem better with actual tips instead of regular nails. I'll try them out again as long as I get the guy or the lady. read more

KEVIN. He's the homie. He hooks my nails up all the time. Ladies if you're looking to get any acrylic sets and fills that DONT LIFT, call Kevin! Ever since I found him, swear I never have anyone else do my nails. Parking is in the lot, gets crazy packed on Saturdays and sometimes Thursday Friday nights. Just make sure you call in or make an appointment if you don't want to wait! Kevin does really great designs if you need any bomb nails. He usually has really good ideas, but sometimes we'll collaborate with the colors I want and he pretty much throws all these other great ideas! I've always used to think a set of nails can only last about 2 to 4 fills at the most (and that's pushing it). But since Kevin's been doing my nails, he just makes all the other nail people I've ever been to look like crap :) read more

This is my fav nail place in the LA area. Everyone there was so sweet and friendly. They get pretty busy so try to time wisely. I got right in and out! My lady even did my cute nails like so without any issues or hard time! I loveee!!! read more
