We stopped in because I just had the taste for a Calzone and was hoping it would be good here. Upon recommendation of the people that worked there we ordered a Stromboli for 12.95 and it came with Pepperoni, sausage, green peppers and onions included. I guess it pretty much the same as calzone but doesn't have the ricotta cheese. Just mozzarella cheese. Well it was the best. We split one and it was still filling. Although it was so awesome I'm sure I could have stuffed a whole one down. The outside was cooked perfect. Lots of fillings. Cheese was so good and melted for maximum yum! And we dined in and they nicely cut it for us and served on two plates each with our own sauce. That is just going the extra mile. Btw, sauce was delicious. It was a dilemma because sauce was great but the crust was so great I had to keep trying with and without sauce. We will be back here. So the pizza here is fantastic...however they have gone down hill with some of the service. We always order pizza to go or for delivery and tonight I went with pick up...since I was coming home from work. I was told 45-50 minutes it would be ready, which worked out fine because I was stuck in traffic. I showed up, told them who I was, they gave me the total, and I paid. Then I got "oh by the way, it will be an additional 25 minutes" WHAT???!!! Really wish someone called me to say it would be that much longer and I would have canceled. I didn't even get an apology...because the place is being run by kids and they don't care. We also enjoy NYPD Pizza so I guess we will go there in the future instead and drive the extra 10 minutes. Which is a shame as I like to support the little guys...but the way I was treated is not good for the future of this place. So they get 3 stars when I have given them 5 stars in the past because the pizza is good. I am so disappointed and starving as I sit here still waiting. I just dropped this down another star...because as I waited an additional 30 minutes (instead of the quoted 20) I still didn't get an apology...while I received a smile and a wished a good night, not one person acknowledged the situation...If I just received an apology I would have felt they valued my business! Had pizza at this family owned and operated restaurant last night. Walking in you are hit with the delicious smells coming from the kitchen. We had a half onion half plain pizza and it was to die for. We usually don't eat the crust but it was so flavorful that we ate it all. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The pizza was like cardboard. This garbage makes Dominos look good and that's not easy. Top it off they send me an antipasto with no f'n utensils. Avoid this place like the plague. It's a family neighborhood Italian place. We stopped in for the first time because there aren't any neighborly restaurants in the Dr Phillips and we wanted to try this one. The place is clean and the service was great. The food was delicious. The buttered garlic knots were the best we've had that I didn't have to make myself. One of us had chicken wings-which he gobbled down. My pasta Cassaricia was fabulous. The lasagne was too big to finish and very excellent. We came had take home boxes because portions were so generous We will be going back for pizza, knots, and everything else on the menu! Try this little place. Yelp didn't fail me--within the first hours of moving into our new house, I had called up Papa D's and ordered a large cheese pizza for pick up. It was perfect. This is your classic NY style pizza--thin crust, quality cheese, and the ideal crust-to-sauce-to-cheese ratio. They always have it ready within 15-20 minutes, and their quality is consistent every time I go. The pizza (Bianca & Margarita) had no flavor whatsoever very plain. I never add salt to anything and I had to add any condiments I could to achieve some sort of flavor. My wife is newly celiac and is just learning how to eat out again. Of course, when she's on vacation, it's double the stakes because she doesn't want to get sick. We were just amazed at how well Papa D took care of her and how great the food was. Papa D told us the story of how long he has worked to prepare a gluten-free pizza dough that meets his standards. He is Italian to the core, and he wants to take care of his guest and serve them the best food. He wants this for his gluten-intolerant guests as much as for anyone else. When someone orders a gluten free pizza, he goes to meticulous detail to keep from cross-contaminating them, including turning the AC system off while it's been prepared. We had a great New York styled pizza. My wife said it was the absolute best pizza she's had since she was diagnosed, and the crunch said it all. Then, his ingredients were top notch! We've traveled in Italy, and the ingredients were up to those standards. Everything was fresh, but Papa spends his time in the Orlando markets getting the freshest and best ingredients. food is great..been a fan for a while now however, yesterday I ordered delivery and the bill was $29 with a delivery charge included...I handed the driver two 20 dollar bills and he started to walk off until I said "whoa, what about my change?". The driver then acted confused as if he thought an $11 tip was justified...then told me he had $2 in quarters in the car if I wanted it....I said yes and to have his boss call me when he returned to the restaurant. .. Ran across this mom n'pop restaurant after I got a massage in the same strip mall. Didn't think much, except so many people kept coming in and out. So I went in to check out the menu. I liked that they had a pretty big pasta selection in addition to pizza, salads, beer and wine. We ordered alot of food for the 4 of us - seafood pasta, lasagna, linguini and white clam sauce, and pizza. The meals came with a very simple salad (no croutons, one small cherry tomato, one ring of onion) and a plate of garlic rolls (they tasted good, but were lukewarm and didn't taste like they were made fresh). Everything tasted decent, but the pasta could have come a little more al dente. House cab was pretty decent (and decent pour), and the Italian beer was ice cold. Remember really good pizza is hard to get in Florida because of the water and the humidity. We didn't call ahead as we were in the area already, when we went in the place was packed and people were waiting. I can understand why people were waiting once I tasted the pizza. It is a family owned and run pizza place so you can tell they care about the quality of food as well as the customer service. We ordered one large cheese and one large peperoni they told us 45 minute wait it was closer to an hr which was fine as I had to go to the store. In theb Plaza next door. The owners were apologetic about the pizza not being done offered us a drink I declined. We got the pizza home nice and hot and it was almost perfect. I like the bottom to be crispy not burnt just into he middle. The cheese was cooked perfect, the taste was amazing. This is pizza t get at I remember growing up with upnorth. Be sure to get the XL size pizza... thin crispy crust, perfect sauce, fresh mozzarella, and slightly greasy - easily the best pizza this side of Orlando. We've also had the hot sandwiches and entrees. Love the Chicken Parm and the Meatball Parm sandwiches. Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken is a classic that they make well. We had multiple pizza delivery companies flyers under our door at the hotel and my daughter started reading the YELP reviews. I guess Orlando has many "fly by night" pizza companies that don't deliver the pizza ordered or deliver horrible pizza hours after promised. We saw PaPa D's review and decided to give them a try. It was 8:20pm on a Sunday night and they closed at 9pm but the very pleasant employee, who answered the phone, said they would deliver to our hotel without a problem. This is a small Pizza place which has a fairly popular Resturant which I think doesn't cut it. First our server was new and was not ready to do this job. Taking orders was difficult loaded with errors. Requests for items were forgotten. Food was generally just ok but not good. Rigatoni ala vodka had a bright tart red sauce not pink. Chicken tasted old. They delivered one of our guests their main course after our tables finished. I know it's not New York but we were very disappointed with food quality and service. read more

Total 18.99 guy said 1 hr at 12:30am I was like um ok then told me it would be 24.95 with taxes and delivery charge. Once he got to my hotel guy say 26.95 so total ripped us off. I was excited to come finally eat after forever and I open he Wings they are as dry as rocks with bbq sauce on them cold and the pizza dry a few ground beef and practically no sauce or cheese. The pizza was so dry and cold that we stopped eating on the 1st slice and threw away the meal. I will say the best part of the food was the cold sprit. So thanks guys. This restaurant is spectacular every time I come. To start, I ordered a Caesar salad, which was great with the perfect amount of ranch and croutons. I also got some garlic knots as well, which was a little too over-coated with olive oil, but still tasted great. But, the main course was the most amazing part of the meal.
