The pizza was really good. Really wished I had a larger stomach so I could eat more of it. Food is 4.5 stars but the service is what drags it down. They're not very attentive and who I assume is "mama D" glares. Its a small restaurant and they weren't very busy. No obvious reason to not be attentive to customers or greet as they walk in. We stumbled upon this place on our way to another establishment in this commercial plaza. The place seemed to have plenty of customers, so we gave it a try. It shouldn't be that bad, or so we thought. Ha. Let me start by saying that no restaurant keeping its facilities in this condition should have a 4 Star Yelp review. We tried their pastas instead - there were plenty of pictures and decorations advertising the place as a family Italian restaurant. Ha. Disappointment is an understatement. Caesar side salad was okay. Two of the garlic knots were undercooked and had little to no garlic. Then, we were served the blandest 'Italian' food we've had in our entire life. Their sauce and meatballs had no taste at all and their chicken Parmesan tasted like something that came out of a frozen bag and was warmed up in a microwave. Their cook just slapped some bland sauce and a cheap cheese slice on top of the chicken, and warmed up the already over cooked spaghetti, mixed with more bland sauce, and called it a day. It was good and definitely compared to other local pizzeria. The following we decided to go back and try their chicken parm dinner. It was real good and completed with a glass of Cabernet. A great find! My boyfriend found this on yelp originally and it only has a couple reviews but we tried it and were glad we did! Im Italian, but am forced to eat gluten free and the gluten free pizza crust is fabulous! It tastes homemade, and the cheese is stringy and melty and fresh. My boyfriend got chicken parm. This is a great family owned hole in the wall. The pizza is delicious and their pasta is very good. You can tell it is homemade with some family secrets helping with the great flavor. The baked ziti was some of the best we have ever had anywhere. We always come here for our local pizza place and love the friendly service. Ordered pizza at 6pm it got to the hotel at 8pm, freezing cold. I ordered that along with wings that were semi almost cold. I called back and asked for them to pick the pizza up and the wings and remake one that was hot. They said okay and apologized... here we are at 11:12 pm still no pizza or wings. I called 7x and each time they said the pizza was on the way. Just called the delivery driver and he said, he's off work, asked for the address and the place is 30 mins away! I'm LIVID!!!!!! $30 damn dollars a stale cold pizza cold wings, now nobody's answering the pizza place, the delivery driver said he's off work, we have no food and wasted money, mind you we have kids in the room!!!! Found this place on Yelp after doing a search for gluten free restaurants in Orlando. It felt great to know we had a place to eat while on vacation and even better that we could enjoy a rare pizza. If you go here, be aware you have to call ahead and reserve the gluten free pizzas you'll be wanting. It's a good thing we did as they only had 3 left. As for how the pizza tasted....it was ok. Just ok. We ordered one with peppers, onions, and mushrooms and it was far better than the Margarita pizza which was way too saucy. The pizzas seemed unseasoned, as if they're afraid to season it just because they're gluten free. All in all for two waters, 2 salads and 2 moderate size personal pizzas, the bill was almost $45 which I think is a bit too pricey. However, if you are gluten free and looking for a gf pizza place, you might like it. To each his own! read more

OMG!! is all I can say!! I'm an authentic Italian, from LAWNG ISLAND, NEW YORK LOL ( I know how to spell "LONG" - just goofing). Just moved to Dr Phillips/Orlando in June 2013 and my kids have been DYING for Long Island Pizza. Well, what a little GEM of a place. Not very fancy but it's clean and comfortable, which is JUST FINE with us!! My adult son ordered a meatball parmigiana hero, my daughter had a slice of regular pizza (she's EXTREMELY picky!) and I ordered a chicken cutlet hero. We also ordered 1/2 dozen garlic knots, which were to die for!! BEING from New York, the pizza places in Florida have a lot of work to do to even come CLOSE to anything like NY Pizza but this place NAILED IT!!! My daughter LOVED the pizza, which considering that she eats like a bird, that was a real FEAT in itself!! Not only were the hero's served to us on ceramic dishes/plates, which was a nice touch, but they were HUGE! My son, who is a very big eater (yet thin, OY VEY) could only eat half and the same for me so we took our halves home for lunch the next day. The heros were also served with fries! The food itself was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! very tasty, fresh and JUST SCRUMPTIOUS!! The owners Donato and his wife, were soooooo nice to us. Ironically, they're from NY too, which accounts for the standards he sets for the way his food is prepared. He told me that when someone orders a chicken cutlet hero, for example, he first breads and cooks the cutlet, then places it on the hero, and does his magic, rather than how some places already have the chicken cutlets already prepped, cooked, sitting around and ready to put on a hero. He buys everything fresh, which is why it's so tasty!! They told me how they used to own a couple of stores that made pastries, cakes etc and let it slip that they sell cannolis too! I asked where the cannolis were and the next thing, she brings out a freshly filled cannoli on a plate!! WOW!! TO DIE FOR, again!! I couldn't leave without taking a take out menu and noticed the very reasonable prices. Can't wait to go back for pasta or marsala!! We walked out of there with huge smiles on our faces after an absolutely delicious meal and conversing with the nicest, friendliest people - it was a pleasure and obvious that they certainly aim to please, which they did, 200% BTW, the huge,garlic knots came with dipping sauce too, which is not the way it's usually served in NY, but very nice and they were FANTASTIC!! Amazingly, they were prepared just like our favorite garlic knots on Long Island. Now that we are official Floridians, this is now our FAVORITE FAMILY pizza place/casual restaurant!! Absolutely the worst experience ever. Ordered $55 worth of food. The food arrived freezing cold, the 2 12" meatball subs had only 6" of meat, and the bread was extremely soggy. The 12" ham was the same way. Very little meat, mostly bread, and freezing cold. Looked like someone opened a packet of pre cooked diced ham and there u go. Also ordered 2 12" sausage calzones. The tops were burnt and my wife took a bite and said what kind of meat is this. It was supposed to be sausage but wasn't like any thing I had ever seen. I proceeded to call the place back to make it right and believe it was the owner I was talking to. He told me if I didn't like the sausage I could call the place they get the sausage from and take it up with them. He preceded to tell me he watched them make the subs and I had ordered them like that. What?!!! He then told me when he his delivery driver returned he would call me back and see what he could do. As my family and I sat here hungry at the hotel for 2 hours we received no call. I proceeded to call back and guess what no answer, then they answer and hang up. Money is tight as I promised my boys I would bring them to universal. As most of you know how expensive that is. And after driving 17 hours to get here this is how we are treated.
