We are regulars to Papa John's pizza place in Edgewater drive. Very nice environment. Pretty close to our home...not too close. We are accustomed to it. Yesterday's service by Jonathan's brother was outstanding. He could quickly pull your information with your phone numbers...he knows what we order normally also. Amazing intelligent person... maybe my kid's age:) just kidding. They did one half with Jalapenos for me and other half with mushroom- Tomato, onion, olives and Jalapenos for me... he kept it ready when we came to pick up - it was timely...Great gesture. friendly. Owner or franchise owner or General manager was awesome too... i forgot his name. I think this must be Chad. Who is the owner I guess... I am assuming. Terrible customer service! Ordered garlic Parmesan breadsticks and a half bacon half pepperoni epic stuff crust. I open my plain breadsticks and immediately called to which Jamie answers and I let her know my breadsticks are wrong and she laughs and places me on hold while on hold I check my pizza only to find they didn't even cut the pizza up either. Once Jamie comes back on the line she offers to fix the breadsticks. Then I let her know my pizza is not cut either she laughs again and places me on hold. Come back on the line, ask if I can cut it myself or they can fix my whole order. So I ask for a new order and she said they'll remake it. Then I get a call back from the manager. Telling me they need the food back because there were a lot of mistakes on the order and sometimes people lie and they need to verify the food is messed up. I let him know I've already touched the food and already cut into it when I was on the phone with Jamie. To which he said that's fine they'll just throw it out. And while I'm speaking he hangs up on me mid call then calls back asking if there's anything else he can help me with??? Ended up getting my food remade and a credit for the food. read more

I ordered a Ultimate. When I arrived at home, I opened the box and observed fresh diced tomatoes on my pizza. The pizza I ordered descriptions didn't have fresh tomatoes listed. I will assign this store an extra star since I never have had an issue with any pick-up order or delivery from this location, and I've been getting pizza from here for a while (maybe once a month or every 1.5 months for the past 3 years, just about). I usually go to pick up the pizza since the store is so close to where I live. The store itself is clean and appears to be well-maintained and is in a convenient spot on Edgewater Drive in College Park. The staff is friendly, helpful and courteous and every delivery order has been fulfilled in a timely manner as well as accurately. As G.R. mentioned, there is at least one more preferable pizza option (Ragazzi's) in the immediate area, and I try to get there as often as possible, but sometimes I just am in the mood for some Papa John's. It also helped that, last night, I was able to get a free pizza since I am a Papa John's "Rewards" member and all members were rewarded with a free pizza if the opening coin toss in the Super Bowl landed on "heads," which it did. So, there likely are some very happy Papa John's "Rewards" members this week. Any/all members were entitled to a free pizza! I probably will hit up N.Y.P.D. Excellent customer service here. Papa John's corporate ran a nationwide promo for a free pizza after spending $15 for March Madness. However, what wasn't made clear was that the code expired in 10 days. I emailed and called Papa John's corporate, but they refused to honor my free pizza, even though I am a loyal customer. As a way of pawning me off, they instead suggested I call my local Papa John's location. The owner/manager I spoke to listened to my concern and put a free pizza on my account, even though I fully understand he didn't have to (he is a franchisee and it was Papa John's corporate that dropped the ball, not him). This is what I call excellent customer service. I just wish the corporate office had the same philosophy, and didn't bait-and-switch their customers by running a "free pizza" promo, and hiding the 10-day expiration date in the small print. read more

I dislike chain restaurants. So why such a high review? Because this location is not like the others. What makes chain restaurants bad? How about I tell you why this location is good, unlike most chain pizza places: 1. Consistency. I've ordered from here many times and they have never once given me an "off" pizza. "But a chain pizza is always bad!" I might be a food snob, but these guys don't pretend to do anything but serve chain pizza. But they do it the same way, every time. If you think its bad, then guess what? They'll keep giving it to you, the same way. Its the sign of a truly good business. I never have to gamble and wonder if its gonna be as good (or bad) as the last time. 2. They're fast. I always get there in 15 minutes, and its already ready or coming out, piping hot. When I have a pizza craving, this helps big time. 3. Respect. I use coupons and online codes for this place all the time. Never once did they give me a patronizing attitude or look at me sideways. I'm a cheap bastard and I love cheap pizza. And they don't skimp on my pizza. I ordered a pizza with over 5 toppings and extra cheese and guess what? Unlike every other Papa John's I've been to, they actually gave me extra cheese! What the heck! I order 3 different cheeses and extra cheese with no other toppings from any other chain and they'll just give me standard cheese. These guys do everything they can to make sure I don't send the pizza back, and that I keep coming back! 4. They're open late. Just drive down College Park and find one place open past 11pm. I work late and I get a pizza craving. My favorite pizza place in the area is Tornatore's Pizzeria, but they close after I get off work! I'll always try to go there when I can, but the advantage of a chain: they're open when I want them to be. So there you have it. This is an excellent chain restaurant. It has a friendly staff and everything is clean. They combine a lot of the things that make independently owned restaurants great (respect, consistency) with the advantages of a chain (fast and open late). If you love Papa John's pizza style, you might give it 5 stars. read more

Because I live so far away from the exemplary Brick & Fire in Sodo, this Papa John's is my pizza place if I want to keep it cheap and sleazy. My only ordering experience is through the PJ app, and before that, on their website. No problems or messed up orders. The staff is what you'd expect. If you want to keep it local, may I recommend Ragazzi's, which is about two blocks away. It's not the best pizza around, but they offer a lot of choices for not much cash. read more

I had a less than exceptional experience with this Papa John's location. First off, we ordered our pizza online for delivery, it was estimated to arrive in 20 minutes. After 61 minutes we decided to call and check on it. The employee proceeds to let us know that there was a mix up with the system and our order showed up as carry out so our pizza had been sitting there for the 61 minutes. The employee then got the manager to try and resolve the issue. The manager was also not very helpful and proceeded to try and cancel the order and ask for our card over the phone. The employee that answered the phone was not helpful at all or apologetic about the issue nor was the manager. Following this fiasco the delivery guy calls and let's us know that he was outside out door,which was not the case. The address on file was incorrect and we had addressed this with the manager and gave our correct address ... twice. The delivery guy was upset about the fact that he had gone to the wrong address and said ... and I quote ... "Are you kidding me?! The next delivery is on the next street." Once the pizza FINALLY arrived, the delivery guy was not friendly. The pizza was luke warm, if that, and I could tell the manager had not remade the pizza (like he said he was going to). My co-workers and I ordered ONE large cheese pizza for our work meeting. The employee on the phone said it would take 45 minutes. An hour later, we called to get an update on the delivery. The next employee said they were pulling up to the building with our pizza in about 1 minute. 15 minutes later we called again and the employee said they have only had the order for 40 minutes and they are on the way. We asked to speak with the manager, Calvin, got on the phone and was completely un-professional and told us to be responsible and plan ahead before ordering pizza. My manager was completely baffled and cancelled the order. That is NOT how you take to customers, especially when you're in the wrong and were being polite about the situation. Papa Johns only got my business because of the Magic Win coupon they do when the Orlando Magic wins a game, because their pizza isn't that great in the first place but now I know they have horrible customer service as well.
