I hadn't been here in years but went today for lunch. I had a restaurant.com deal and got it for a great price. $5.80 for a steak and cheese along with onion rings. I was underwhelmed by all of it. The steak n' cheese was bland and dry and the onion rings were crunchy dry chips. Asked for bbq and she said it's 71 cents. That's very chincy but I paid it. I think I would have given 4 stars if it wasn't for that. I'll go back again and get something different next time. Place is clean and the woman working alone was nice.

Had pizza here last week purchased by a friend and it was actually very delicious. I'm going to give this place a try again. Hopefully they've improved all the way around!

Grabbed a few quick pies and some bacon cheese fries from there tonight. Fast and friendly service, clean business, great value, and the food was excellent!

Pretty decent pizza here. The rust is thick and crispy, while the sauce is sweet and a little on the thick side. I'm a fan of sweet pizza, so this was pretty delightful. Disappointed only by the "Inferno Wings" but only because I was expecting a saucy buffalo wing, while these are crispy wings that have spiciness to the batter. Dip them in ranch dressing and you'll still cure your buffalo wing craving though. Oh and they have those Otis Spunkmeyer cookies. YUM. And homemade soup, which I didn't try but maybe when the colder months roll in.

Love everything. Place has been open for a LONG time. I only know of this place for the past 14 years u think. Nice upgrade several years ago but food is always good. You don't get floppy greasy pizza here . Here is yummy crunchy goodness. Burgers are awesome. Fries... Well... You just can leave this place without their fries.Crispy, white, not greasy like most places. It's just perfect fries. And the chicken wings.... My God. Yum

Papa Sams is quite delicious. The pizza is really good. There personal pizzas are always enough to fill me up. They don't disappoint. The sandwiches are also fresh and well made. Not bad, they have improved.

    Cheese pizza and hot wings!

Good neighborhood pizza, and more importantly, incredibly clean. Lots of gloves used here. I trust this staff.

Their sandwiches are (to steal a line) superlative! You can get an awesome plain Jane deli sandwich (ie Turkey sub, ham & cheese, corned beef, etc) OR go through the literal DOZENS of concoctions of their signature sandwiches...you can't lose! Tucked in on South Main St now down by the pedestrian bridge, you can people watch the pedestrians (usually coming & going from either financial district/Downtown or the court houses as you await your culinary masterpiece to arrive)...you won't be disappointed! My current faves are Jen & Berry or The Juggs; but I have never had something that wasn't pleasing. There are long tables, so if you are by yourself or a small party & it is packed, you might have to share; but don't look at it as a drawback...look at it as connecting with a fellow human being(s).

The choices seem endless, but we finally selected: * Rachel * Roger Williams (hold the onions and tiger sauce) The former is a perennial favorite while the latter was a new choice. The Rachel was excellent, as usual, with tender pastrami, and nicely melted cheese. I also liked the Roger Williams which had a tasty stuffing. It was a huge sandwich, warm and nicely toasted. That said, I always prefer real turkey over the coldcut variety any day! 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.

The first time I came, it was a rainy weekday and this time it was a sunny weekend, so I was expecting an even larger crowd; and my prediction was correct. The line was just out the door but because of their awesome staff, the line was moving very quickly. While we waited in line, we could watch them making pastries through the glass, a couple feet in front of us. I admired that level of transparency. When we were third in line, the kindest lady asked us whether we'd be eating in or taking out and she took down our name to help us find a table when it came time. She did the same for the rest of the people in line. She also gave us some recommendations, including the cinnamon bun - apparently they're so good kids cry when they sell out. I didn't intend to order anything with my drink, but I couldn't get the cinnamon bun out of my head so I ordered it along with my iced spiced chai latte. The hen (I think it's their logo) on the aprons of the employees are super cute. We did secure a table. The tables are close together to maximize the number of people who can sit down but I didn't mind. I love their art all around, mostly of birds which I am obsessed with. I love that they have a lot of natural lighting coming through their tall windows. I also like the navy blue and white theme they have going on. The chai latte was perfect. It was the right color (a dark tan), meaning the ratio of tea and milk was good and I could taste a lot of the spices. The cinnamon bun blew my expectations away. The second my teeth made. contact with the icing, it was a magical feeling. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it tasted like, but the closest I got was dulce de leche. It is truly unlike any other cinnamon bun I have ever had. The dough is soft and there is a good amount of cinnamon. It's also $4 which is not bad. I had a bite of their canelé, which apparently requires a lot of work to make. It was very moist, with a great caramelized finish. I am super excited to try their new weekend dinner menu, but also more of their all day menu items.

The frosting was incredible though. That stuff could go on anything. The cinnamon buns at Oak Bakeshop and Whole Foods are much better with those typical gooey layers inside. Also, it was not large in size, anyone can eat it in one sitting. The worker who took my order was very friendly and it is so nice/comfortable inside there.
