I really enjoyed the Spicy Vodka pasta--it wasn't super spicy, but had a nice little kick, and the rigatoni was cooked perfectly al dente. I love their cheese wheel setup--only the Cacio e Pepe and Alfredo get the cheese wheel treatment, and you can see it all happening through the window by the kitchen.

Passed by and saw the happy hour special..$6 wine...you actually get half bottle! Tried the square upside down grandma. Was just ok..I was a bit hungry after seeing broadway play. Even though the pizza was heated through the mozzarella wasn't melted and kind of rubbery. Sauce was decent and crust had a nice crunch...food 3, hh special 5, service 5

I'm afraid to admit, but I like the pasta here a lot more than the pizza, but the pizza itself is also delicious. It's because the pasta is made fresh in the back, they have a good wide selection too choose from, and it's very affordable on average $15. Portions are good enough to fill you up, but not put you in a food coma. Definitely coming back here again for my pasta cravings!

If you're looking for a pizza spot in NYC that actually delivers on flavor and experience, Papi's Pizzas & Pasta is the one. They've got fresh pizza with the perfect crispy-chewy crust, house-made pasta spun in a giant cheese wheel right in the window (yes, you can watch it happen), and the most epic table-side pizza experience I've ever seen. The chef brings all the toppings, and makes your dream pizza right in front of you. It's hands-on, it's hot out the oven, and it's perfect for groups, birthdays, or just treating yourself. i just got the margarita pizza. service was kind and friendly and there was a decent amount of seating around so i would say if you want a pizza place where you can eat and hang with friends, i'd recommend this place. the pizza was good, nothing super special i would say there are better pizza places around new york i'd visit instead.

Was looking for a quick and easy meal before hopping onto my bus back home. Seeing freshly made pasta hanging behind the window immediately caught my eye, so I decided I had to give it a shot. Immediately, I was impressed by the variety of pasta dishes and pizza slices to choose from! Not only that; for each pasta dish to be less than $20 is quite rare in NYC, especially its location in midtown manhattan. The tri-color square slice was surprisingly good! The bread itself was soft while having a crispy, browned bottom. The trofie pesto pasta was also quite tasty! Pasta was al dente, and the pesto tasted great! Honestly, this restaurant deserves more recognition; it's quick, convenient, and affordable as a pasta restaurant!

    Spaghetti Meatballs

Food was delicious! I got the Spaghetti and Meatballs, it was a good portion but a little expensive, definitely worth it though. Excellent service by the cashier

I spent over $20 ($19 + tax and tip) on their stuffed fettuccini. The food didn't come out for twenty minutes. They just forgot, apparently. When I got it, it felt light. Opened it up and I only received eight pieces. Barely enough for an appetizer. And it tasted like garbage. What a ripoff!

Do not hesitate to come here! This place was everything I ever look for in a pizza. It was fresh, dough was delicious, it was loaded, cheesy, great variety, delicious! Perfect location. You can have your pizza with the view of the busy New York. Real NY experience Service was amazing! Quick and very friendly. Better than Joe's pizza that everyone is lining up for just to stand outside and eat. Come here instead and eat in great atmosphere and great food. I will definitely come here every time I come to NY!

Unfortunately, the pasta was not al dente at all and tasted cheap. We would not recommend.

Pretty good pizza and pasta spot in Midtown, right near the train station. Pros are food is good and staff is nice. Cons are hefty prices.

Worst service I've received in a long time. Attendant with awful attitude. Bare bones ambiance. Food is commensurate with the price.

Management was very accommodating on various levels - no need to describe the details as it's not relevant for an average review. know before you go - you literally have no other cheese but to have cheese in your pasta. Note that this is not a place for lactose intolerant kinds. I thought the concept was fresh pasta (which it is) but their ultimate menu items must include that cheese wheel. So fine. I figured they can at least give a non-cheese dish but rules are the rules. The place was packed on a weekend early evening. Lines were not forming (like it showed in the viral videos) but they were cooking up quite a bit at the front, because of carry out orders. Either way, on all angles - literally pretty much everything is ALL good and very positive. However, the one thing that needs to be addressed is that wheel made of cheese. Whoever created that chunk of a wheel, kudos to them/company. By golly - that gargantuan of a wheel was so filled with calories - I kid you not, it almost converted me to being lactose intolerant! So if you're about to have triple bypass the next day, I do not recommend this joint until you're fully healed. Yes, the flavors were good, but the cheesey elements were just too too rich. You also cannot tell them to lessen it, it's just set the way they cook the pasta within that barrel. Otherwise, the decor/ambience was nice, and tidy aspects really show through. Customer service was wonderful. Support your local businesses!

Was also thoughtful in handing us our orders correctly which was nice. For the food itself I heard good things and was hoping to love it more-- but I think I was slightly disappointed. The flavors aren't so bad overall and if you have a pasta itch it'll scratch. But I've tried other places better at a similar or even cheaper price point with protein added in. I got the "some like it hot" while my friend got "midnight desire" with burrata added in. I paid about 22 for each dish. Now for my thoughts - flavor for "some like it hot" was not bad, sauce was a slight bit watery for my liking. The spice was nice and I liked that part the most. Pasta was "OK". The ravioli was stuck together for some, filling was adequate but, I would've liked a little more. I don't want to sound harsh, but it was all around just an ok spot. Maybe it was just that day. Burrata added is nice, I took mine to go do sadly it was melted on top (recommend to pack the burrata separately for to go orders) - "midnight desire" is basically vodka and the flavor for this one was kind of odd for me. Not the normal vodka I am used to. I personally wouldn't really get it again. It wasn't a bad sauce, just not like vodka I know. Had a slight "bitter(?)" aftertaste from some seasoning I guess. I'm not a pasta connoisseur but I AM Italian and I've tasted a wide ranger of pastas lol-- I think yummy cheese pasta in Hell's Kitchen offers a similar concept, portion but is more filling, diverse options for adding and overall, slightly cheaper. Perhaps I'll give this place another try on another day..
