Food is generally good, but I prefer the A terminal location. The terminal C location is crowded with the tables uncomfortably close together. Our server was professional, but the team around him seemed irritated to be working and annoyed with both customers and their coworkers. This spot was convenient, but one I will try to avoid in the future.
Oh my goodness! Talk about a great place! First off, every person that helped us was so pleasant! There seemed to be two of these right across from each other at the airport? Couldn't quite tell the difference...maybe just more room? One looked a little more open-air. They were both busy, but we got seats at their bar and we were waited on right away. The food portions were AMAZING! My rainbow trout (which I have never had) was delicious! Lump crab on it, toasted almonds, all in a perfectly done brown butter sauce. And there were two pieces of fish on that plate! Large pieces! I have not heard of Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen before, but apparently they are around. I definitely will not hesitate to return to one!

I also got a sidecar and the bartender made it so well. The service is always good when I go. They move very efficiently to get your drinks and food out to make your flight!
We love Pappadeaux's. The airport version is slightly less than the real thing, but very good if you are traveling and need a good meal. Our server was super friendly and attentive. They have a good beer and wine selection in addition to a full bar. The food was served quickly and was hot and fresh. The crawfish étouffée was delicious, and not too spicy. I had them bring me some hot sauce on the side.
Planned a longer layover so I could finally try this place. Multiple flight attendants recommended it and I'm glad I made it in. Was able to be seated almost immediately during the lunch rush and the server was so helpful finding me a spot where I could sit with my bags. This place has a great vibe, especially being in an airport. It's big enough that you can sit in the back and forget where you're at. I started with the gumbo which had a great smoky flavor and the shrimp was perfect. Kudos for de-veining, there are more places than you think that skip this. The Texas redfish was the knockout punch though. Top 3 seafood dishes I have ever had. The redfish was cooked perfectly, crispy and flaky. The biggest lumps of blue crab I've ever had in my life. And the butter sauce was incredible, not overly salty but very fresh with the lemon. I don't know a lot about gulf food being from SoCal but I definitely know good seafood. Would absolutely be coming back.

He was running around non-stop checking in with all the diners and making sure we were taken care of. The shrimp po boy sandwich was a large portion and pretty tasty too. Glad I stopped in.
You never know what you will get at airport restaurants but this place was a winner for me. I was not in a good mood but my waiter with his excellent service and the food turned that around for me. According to the check, my waiter was Adrian and he was fantastic. He greeted me with a menu and some iced cold water! When I ordered my salad with salmon, he asked me how I wanted my salmon cooked. And he even came back later and asked me if the salmon was cooked to my liking. (It was cooked perfectly medium.) The place was busy but I never felt like he was struggling to keep up. I never had to ask for anything and he was on the ball. My salad was so delicious! The dressing was super tasty and the salmon was so good. Nothing makes me happier than a good salad. If you're looking for a place to grab a bite in Terminal C, this is the place!

Today the host promptly seated me and notified the waiter that I have a plane to catch in half an hour. Joseph took care of me and I was in and out in under 20 minutes. Ordered seafood & sausage gumbo plus old fashioned. Highly recommend this awesome establishment.
The fish is always so melt in your mouth tender. I've eaten here about 27 times over the years and always love everything I order. I usually get fish fillets and I love the sauce they use here too. They really have perfected their recipes and every location exceeds my expectations. I tried salmon in forth worth dining in and I had it to go once as well. Always a wonderful dining experience
Man, this has been in draft forever. Been here at least four times since the initial visit. I can't pass up the chance to hit up a Papladeaux's and they didn't disappoint. Had the crispy salmon with scallop and shrimp. Also had the snapper w/crab. All I gotta say is look at the photos taken 15 minutes apart. Need I say more? Delicious so damn good. Stewart the gentlemen at the bar was wonderful and gave this as a recommendation. The bar ambiance was laid back and mild. Not too busy and it's open seating so choose wisely. I visited in March and Ivette took wonderful care of me...fast forward two months and Ivette once again took great care. She remembered who I was, where I sat the previous visit and even what I ordered! Talk about service. I will always pop in when I have a longer layover. They are very prompt with timing of food and Donnie assisted this visit. They were all over the timing of food and kept everything moving. If you enjoy seafood, good drinks and amazing service, go here. You won't be disappointed. read more
Not bad at all for some airport food! We had a 3 hour layover here and was looking for a local restaurant to try out. I got the gumbo while my wife got the Chopped salad with fried crawfish. Both dishes tasted great. Gumbo was filled with good shrimp, sausage and peppers, while the salad was huge and had A LOT of crawfish. Only thing I wish was that the gumbo could have been bigger for a $20 dish. Other than that, we had a great meal and our waitress was friendly and really helpful. I specifically try to book flights with layovers in Dallas so that I can come eat here!!!! The service is quick and there's plenty of space with everyone's carry ons and bags while they wait for their flights. read more

The food was excellent along with the customer service! I enjoyed every bite and wanted more! The blackened catfish was moist and tender, while the crawfish étouffée was deliciously creamy with a hint of spice! If ever in the DFW AIRPORT, GET HERE!!! read more

I ordered takeaway from the to-go side of the restaurant and asked for something on the spicier side of things and prepared without milk. The EXTREMELY kind employee suggested the blackened catfish with crawfish etouffee and dirty rice. He even asked the chef if the entree was prepared with milk (which it is not, only butter) and addressed me by name after I gave him my name for the order. Overall for airport food, pretty standard. I don't know if we're at the age of expecting mind-blowing food at US airports which are not yet fully renovated, or just US airports in general. The crawfish had a little taste of iodine and muddiness but I think that's relatively typical. If anything, this order reminded me why I do not like crawfish anymore. Can't speak for the ambiance because I took my order to the airplane. Yes, this place could be better in terms of seafood freshness but maybe I need to listen to my friends and order the Alexander sauce (contains milk) next time read more

I guess I'm a creature of habit. Already reviewed the chopped salad but from the Terminal E location. This location is a bit cozier than the one at Terminal E. A large portion of the floor space is taken up by a bar. The remaining area is 4-top booths and a lot of 2-tops crammed in between. It's right across from Pappadeaux Seafood Bar, so between the two locations, they have quite a bit of seating. Friendly and respectful wait-staff. Here's a copy and paste of my chopped salad review: Here is the description of the salad from their website - Mixed greens with tomatoes, egg, honey bacon, red onion, avocado, aged cheddar & Jack cheese with creamy vinaigrette. What they don't tell you is this thing is massive. Every component is fresh and delicious, but special shout out to the amount of avocado (half a large avocado), the honey bacon (cooked perfectly), and the creamy vinaigrette on the side. How is creamy vinaigrette not more of a thing? Delicious. One thing I got different this time was the grilled salmon. Well-seasoned. Really nice crust to it. I thought it was cooked perfectly to medium. If you have a specific preference on doneness, make sure you clarify with the server. I wasn't asked, but was happy with how it turned out. read more
Stop here at Dallas airport for a layover and got me some quick lunch bowl of seafood gumbo with sausage. The food was very flavorful and a perfect amount for a quick lunch. My waitress Elise was awesome. She came over immediately and took my drink order and it was back within a minute. The restaurant is self typical airport restaurant set up and they had a nice selection of music like. read more

5/5 Stars - A Hidden Gem at the Airport! Stopped in at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen in the Dallas Airport for a quick bite before our flight, and it turned into one of the best airport dining experiences I've had. Jason and I were just looking for something casual, but we left completely impressed and satisfied. Our server, Karen, was absolutely fantastic--attentive, warm, and completely on top of everything without ever making us feel rushed. She noticed the little things and made sure my Old Fashioned came just the way I love it: no ice, extra cherries (perfection!). Jason enjoyed a couple of Millers, and the vibe stayed relaxed and unhurried the whole time--rare for an airport restaurant. We split a Caesar salad and the shrimp & crawfish fondeaux, which brought back amazing memories for me--it's a classic favorite I used to share with my mom, and I was so happy to introduce Jason to it. So much cheese, loaded with meat, and the bread/croutons were absolutely on point. Great service, delicious food, and a calming atmosphere--we'd come back here even if we weren't catching a flight. $36.78 for two bowls of shrimp gumbo's is wild! Michael at the to go counter was really sweet! Asked and used my name, made eye contact which I appreciate. I didn't go inside, the to go window is next to the dining room in terminal C. It took all of ten minutes and he yelled my name pretty loud when my order was ready. This was my first time at Pappadeaux in DFW and I haven't been to one in years. The service was slow so give yourself plenty of time. The food was warm, but not the tastiest thing I have ever had. If you have the time and you are craving seafood this might be your place. The cost of my pasta was $43 before tax. The shrimp and scallops were small, but the meal was very filling. read more
Definitely some of the best airport food in country by far! Expensive? Yes. My chopped salad with salmon was $31. I didn't care because it was a corporate card expense. I'd hesitate to eat here on my own dime unless I had a long layover or some sort of delay. Salad was very good. Salmon was cooked perfectly. My only complaint is there were quite a few bits of brown lettuce and the white middles of the lettuce. Not attractive, especially at this price. read more
Ya'll! I have to say that because I'm in TX :) I wandered around a bit looking for a place to eat a good lunch and have a drink in between flights and am glad I chose this spot. I was actually just focused on the wine selection, but saw they had a few tasty looking salad options to go with. I decided on the red blend wine and the chopped salad with grilled chicken tenderloins. Omg, SO good! I was not expecting the salad to be that good honestly. The creamy vinaigrette dressing is the BOMB! The service was spot on as well where I even commented to the manager, who came to the table next to me for a compliment, that I felt like this place is a step above an airport restaurant. Thank you Letra, for the great service! I'll come back on my next travels through here and highly recommend you check it out. read more

I had heard that for airport food, this is a good spot, but didn't think it would be true. Had come in for a quick bite, but flight was delayed so I did not have to rush. Grabbed a seat at the bar and water was immediately provided. Nice. Cocktail? Spring Fling-Stoli cucumber vodka, pama pomegranate liqueur, house-made Serrano syrup, lime juice & mint. "Light & Refreshing". Meal? Andouille Sausage & Seafood Gumbo. Sounds heavy, but I'd argue that it's just the right amount for the lunch hour. Plus, it's very good. So I left happier than usual, despite my delayed flight. read more

Got to try some of the food in Texas technically. This is a higher end seafood bar lounge type spot. They had Southern gumbo and not too expensive either, so I got it with a side of dirty rice between layovers. Good service and dang that was dirty dirty rice. In the best way. I would recommend this spot over any other restaurant in the airport. Most of them are chains and then theres this one and some bar owned by a basketball player. Just come here. It's not expensive it's just seafood. And the food was spicy but feel like the gumbo could've been better, then again it's not an entree. Next time I have a layover maybe it'll be five stars. read more
Food (4/5): Super tasty po-boy. The shrimp was perfectly breaded and fried. The bun was a bit too soggy for my taste, but it was buttered and toasted. The sauce on the po-boy tasted like ketchup with tarter sauce - kinda odd. I substituted green beans rather than fries and only ate half the bun. It was a large portion even though it was $23. Service (5/5): Jackie was kind and efficient. Ambiance (3/5): it's a nice bar that serves the same menu as the restaurant across the hall. Just good seating for one. read more
As far as airport restaurants are concerned, you could do a LOT worse than Pappadeaux. But, you can also get better Cajun seafood elsewhere, for a much better price. Service was great, and prompt, which is often important when you have a flight to catch. The fried calamari appetizer ($21.99) was a decent size, but the amount of calamari is deceiving as there are fried artichokes mixed in. The seafood gumbo ($14.99) was actually pretty disappointing. The broth didn't have the rich viscosity you get from a good roux, so the broth was watery and not the hearty stick-to-your-ribs gumbo that I enjoy. Next time dining at DFW, I'll probably try some BBQ or at least something else on the menu at Pass-on-the-Reux. read more

Is it pricey? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes. If you travel a ton, you overpay for crappy food often. Might as well overpay for a great meal. My go to was always the seafood cob salad and I'll never forgive them for removing it from it from the menu. My new go to is the salmon burger, minus the bun. That gives you added veggies and you still get fries! It's amazing. Perfectly cooked to order, and the service here is top notch. You never feel rushed if you want to hang out and the cocktails are yum. Always a solid choice. read more
This was my return trip through DFW and let's just say I'm happy I stopped at this spot. The restaurant has two seating areas right across from each other and they were both packed. I was able to sit at a table top at the exit allowing me to people watch. The guys next to me had a shrimp cocktail so I figured, why not. These were some of the largest shrimp I've ever had and for airport food that was amazing. The cocktail sauce was too. The guy next to also had a crawfish étouffée that he highly recommended, so once again I said why not. I got it with the dirty rice and I must say I'm glad I went with this. The crawfish are plentiful and seasoned. The sauce does have some heat and the rice is delicious. Highly recommend this place, but just know you might have to wait for a seat. read more
This is by far the best eats in the airport. The food is amazing. If it wasn't for my carryon sitting next to me I'd forget I was sitting in an airport restaurant. The service is great and they are always super friendly and attentive. Although you're next to a gate if you sit a little deeper in the restaurant the noise level is pretty low. Regardless of which dish you get (they're all good), dirty rice is a must. read more

My favorite place to go. No oysters in airport. The service was good and atmosphere nice. The fish was very oily and lost the taste of a good fish Trout. Couldn't enjoy the crab too much oily butter. Always give 5 stars but can't here in Dallas...smh . My waitress is amazing Lala and Bartender Nathan. Fish for that price was butchered. Talk to A manager with bitchresting face as if I can't pay for food smh. They took butchered fish off. Lala convinced me on dessert. So changing stars to 3. read more
