I've always had a soft spot for Pappasito's Cantina, so I hate to say this experience missed the mark a bit. I placed a to-go order and followed the curbside instructions exactly--parked in the designated spot and called like my confirmation email said--but after waiting, I ended up having to go inside anyway. Not the biggest deal, but it kind of defeats the purpose of curbside and made the process feel a little disorganized. The bigger letdown was the value. We ordered the large fajitas for $75, and while the food itself was still flavorful and cooked well (as expected), the portion size didn't quite match the price point. The online description says it feeds 2-3 people, but realistically, that's stretching it--two adults is about the limit if it fills two. Overall, the quality is still there, but between the curbside hiccup and the portion size, this visit didn't quite live up to the usual Pappasito's experience. Especially for the price of the food. Always great food! Slightly pricey, can be tight, and can be loud depending on the day and time you get there. Saturday nights are busy but their food is so worth the price, the squeeze, and the noise. Service is always on top of everything. Mariachi band is so much fun. Like all Pappas restaurants, this one is no exception to the excellent quality menu, food, service, and atmosphere. It was a great pleasure to share the experience with a Canadian coworker, trying guacamole for the first time, scarfing down a beef fajita burrito, and finishing with Tres Latte for dessert. My Famous Shrimp Brochette was a little undercooked for me, a crispy bacon fan, but that didn't stand in my way! Wonder weather allowed Al fresco lunch on the deck. The food at Pappasito's is a Tex-Mex at Bass, but it's always, always reliable. On this particular evening, we had fajitas and ceviche, both of which were quite excellent. The ambience is consistent with all Pappasitos. We were initially seated at a small table, but asked to move to a larger table because we had ordered a variety of dishes to which the waitress was quite accommodating so not only was the ambience reliable, but the server was absolutely outstanding. She was prompt, courteous, extremely helpful, patient. I can't even begin to give her the proper number of accolades, but it was a most pleasant experience, and I will clearly return to this Papasitos. read more

Went for lunch with a group on a weekday. Pappasito's is fairly consistent and this location is the same in terms of food quality and service. It's in not the best area of town and they do at least have a security guy in the parking lot. The chips are good, queso and ground beef are also tasty. Due to inflation, fajita pricing is obviously insane and overpriced but at least the meat here was tender and cooked well. The beef and the lamb lollipops were especially tasty and cooked well in our big feast combo #3. The onions are rendered down to a nice doneness too so everything was pretty spot on. They do make their tortillas in house like some other chains but they aren't quite as delicious as Lupe's. Service is fine as well. Overall, it's a solid Texmex spot for this Willowbrook area and the dishes are consistent to expectations. read more

I really enjoyed my time! My waiter was awesome! She gave great recommendations, explained menu along with tips, and was so courteous! The ambiance of Pappasitos makes you think fun, enjoying family time, and experiencing great food! This restaurant is in a private parking lot with security guarding the area. There is nearby construction so majority of parking is near the back but it's very well lit. I just ordered drinks and appetizer! Let's just say I was full! The food was fresh. The female server was walking away from an older coworker and I had beaconed her to order something more. As I was speaking to her, the aforementioned older coworker at the other end of the table, beaconed her back. This server immediately walked away from me mid-talking to address my coworker. The male server was off to the side and immediately clocked what happened. He made a chuckle and half ass excuse before asking me what I needed. However, I didn't witness anything funny. Came here with a group in the early evening and didn't have to wait long for a table. The customer service was good, and the interior had a unique and well-decorated ambiance. I don't recall waiting too long for our food either, which was nice. Most of us were happy with our meals, though the dish I chose wasn't my favorite. Not sure why in Texas Carne asada is ground beef. I went and ordered tacos. Very large but ordered 1 chicken taco and 1 carne asada. They came out I was surprised how large they were. I asked the server about the taco not being carne asada. He said I asked for a beef and chicken taco. Not true. Being from California I have never and I mean never asked for ground beef taco. First of all, they have removed our two favorite items, the Taquilla lime salad and the Pappasito's salad. My wife ordered chicken tortilla soup and received no chicken! I was a die hard Pappasitos fan, until the world's hardest corn chip took out a chunk of my tooth. I ordered bean and cheese nachos and expected the tortilla chips to be softened by the beans and cheese on top. Instead, I was cutting the nachos with a knife and fork. The plate included 12 chips. The third one was the charm -- a bad luck charm. When I bit the piece of chip i had cut, my tooth chipped. I had to wait two days to have my tooth rebuilt by my dentist. Pappasitos did not charge me for the nachos and gave me a gift card for use later. I still tipped the waiter, Uzi, since his service was great. Even after the pain killers wear off, I won't ever visit the Willowbrook Pappasitos again. If I'm brave enough to visit another location, I'll get the soup. read more
